  • The problem is the "Industrial Revolution" & "Urbanization" of the population. People that lived on farms had a much better life in retrospect & by comparison. Instantaneous communication of every event world-wide is foolishness. Living in an apartment (a pigeon hole really) & having the water served to you through a grand system of decaying, polluted piping; being ever dependent on a power company. You name the vanity we "have" & I'll show you the insanity of it.

They sold us on the wrong life.

  • I think the isolationist exists on multiple social levels. The super rich seem to think that they can separate themselves from poison and mayhem via gated communities, private schools, private security, private air? And the off the grid people on the other end of the spectrum seem to be similarly deluded. It's a clusterfuck people. We either pass the lube or get ripped.

  • Dont worry, well get to the point where we either kill them or they kill us.

    Look at the Japanese

  • One of my first jobs was working 80 hours a week at 4 dollars an hour. When I was off I was on call and could not go anywhere I could not be reached by phone.

  • @Smarterthanyouarable Question: would you even want to be reached by phone, if you were only getting sub-living wages? What's the difference... a few more hours until you drop dead from working 90+ hours?

At some point, you have to decide what is more important. Your own time, or working your ass off without ever getting ahead no matter how many hours you work. I prefer the time...because life is just too short.

  • @55ella2007k I made the mistake of getting married to a rich girl and that was a lot of money in the late 70's.

  • There are all types of laws and if you're not an elite and you break one, well, God save you. I thought there was a law banning slavery. Isn't working for nothing slavery?

  • @robran53 Yes, I believe it is. But now it's called 'training' or 'keeping up with experience'. In other words, an endless supply of people who are desperate, and will work for next to nothing, while gaining the 'experience' of the very same people who were fired in the first place. And endless loop...until we all drop dead....;)

  • I feel for ya. It's not like we haven't seen the changes over the years. I don't know how many times I've gone to the owner of the company I was working for and fought like a mother to get good wages or bonus for my employees and myself. They look at a balance sheet, I looked at the people. Yet, over and over again policies were changed and I found so little resistance within my ranks, they failed to be over turned. Now we are here...

  • This is yet another effort by the over class to convince us-- the majority-- from whom all good things arises, to devalue ourselves, eat dirt and scrap by while self-proclaimed kings & queens carry on lives of extreme & obscene excess. Meanwhile people with treatable illnesses, but no health insurance, die; and babies & children without proper nutrition fail to thrive; and old people whose labor built this great nation are denied a peaceful & dignified ends to their lives! SHAME!

  • Excellent video.

  • Thanks for telling it like it is!

  • Where I work, they talking about lowering the base pay and any above that will be based on performance, so what I was hired at will go down regardless of what my performance was prior to this. To top this off, I am earning what I earned in the late 70's. I've been there 6 months, one guy 14 years, and I earn $0.20 less than he. I am in the wrong line of work, but it is the only kind I can find

Woe is me' life is a bitch, then you die

  • @CTOL1 At this point, the big wigs on Wall Street are trying to pit each person against each other, by whatever means possible. You can have all the experience, but then your labor is too expensive, regardless of the merit, which you earned. At the same time, inexperienced people are hired, competing with you, and nobody gives a shit, whether the job is done right or not. It is ALL about profit and bottom line, and we are not part of it. I'm just thankful, that my health is still ok.

  • it's the New World Order I tell ya.

  • I understand your points and would enjoy a face to face discussion, Ella, although the reality of the topic would create such a fervor that you would blame me for not standing up for myself numerous times. I became a master, not for any other reason than I had talent and would never give up on my dream. MANY, MANY fine and well-educated people have absolutely felt no remorse for basically stealing and then laying blame the on me. "You said" is a common retort back to me standing up for myself.

  • I was promised MANY, MANY times that my good efforts and character would be rewarded. "Well, Mr cc, if this works out, I will tell all my friends about your work and you will be busy for the rest of you life. I just love the beautiful work you do."

Where did I go wrong by bending over backwards to please these customers? I believe, mostly, I was sold at the beginning by people who are masters at exploiting talent and hope. I delivered what I promised to people of the lie.

  • ...... Although, people justify their morals and ethics. It is better to recognize who/what you are dealing with, than to attempt to educate the people who have normal hopes and dreams. If one wants to succeed in a system where the power hierarchy oppresses the self-actualization hierarchy then one has to play the game by the rules set by those with the gold and/or the established credentials .

  • @carefulcarpenter agreed u were used! They saw your beauty your talent, realised they could con you into not giving you money for food to live and used you. But don't worry you aren't alone! happened to me and im sure many others!

  • @jonathanburr This is the M.O. for many upstanding people. I surely am speaking of a common tactic used to exploit creative talent. You would surely understand that with hard times, and all the psychological manipulation that goes on in the media, that these tactics would be presented right up front. In a way, this seems more to my liking than the way it has been done in the past-- where a person is shorted at the end of the work. At least up front you have the choice to decline the offer.

  • @carefulcarpenter I would never place personal blame on you, but yes, there would be somewhat heated discussion,, between us. For one thing, you seem to believe, that everything you have done or achieved is solely because of your own ability and labor. While this might be the case in your own personal circumstance, you seem to disregard the labor of others, who have worked just as hard, to keep your very own community from collapsing. If some bad ass company builds a power plant upstream

  • @55ella2007k >>> continued: ... builds a power plant upstream from your place, polluting your water sources and your soil, you will be up shit's creek, and no amount of labor you do on your own, will save you. These big companies have the power and potential to ruin everything you have EVER worked for, regardless of how HARD you worked to make it work. One nuclear mishap anywhere near you... and all your fine craftsmanship amounts to nothing after this. And I LOVE your craftsmanship.

  • @55ella2007k ...(continued 3) .... but if you are looking for some divine intervention in all of this, you may be misplaced in your beliefs. The universe is a very complicated place, and none of us have the answers, and anyone foolish enough to believe that they have the answer already, is, arrogant or shall we say, slighly misguided. Nobody knows the answers, and the longer we look for them, the more folly we will instigate. Live your life, life it well, and help others. The End.
