  • Heck yeah dude!! Nail her down and full bore the throttle on that sucker !!! Over heat that bad boy that'll fix her right up!!!

  • new esc

  • hi hopeso, i'm really new to this i have a buzzflybe (4#3b), and i have the same problem the tail rotor seems to work when it feels like it, did you fix the problem or can you give me any tips to help me out, thanks i'd really appreciate it

  • Read the sidebar. I traced the problem to the wiring harness of the sticks in the transmitter. The plugs were making only intermittent contact so I hard wired them in place.

  • Also, check into the Blade MSR for indoor and the new, SR for outdoor. STABLE and yet agile.

  • Read the sidebar. The problem was the wiring of the sticks in the transmitter. I soldered the wiring directly to the board and all problems went away.

  • I have been reading a lot of comments about how hard this is to fly compared to MSR. Which is too bad because I wanted the 4#3Q for it's great Cobra fuselage. I hope EF start making scale bodies for MSR soon.

  • I have the exact same problem on my 4#3B. The tail rotor seems out of control...!!

It's frustrating and I'm still e-mailing with HeliPal on the problem. Hope they won't stop communicating...

  • Hey newbs just take 2 pencil erasers (whole ones off the end and unused) slide the evenly and centerd on the fly bar up against the paddle mounts and then fly the damn helicopter and ull see that u just suck for now its the next best thing to training gear u can give it full stick and ull see that it wont just wad up and hit the floor it actually flies screw piccoz they suck just learn how to fly the good stuff

  • Same idea but

i used small fishing sinkers and clamped them to the flybar.

  • sticks for the control, idle up switch, thottle hold, flaps-gear, gyro gain, you name it it does it its for ccpm 6ch and more advanced models, but a good radio can last you a lifetime. most have memory for 10 or more models. google it

  • Your helicopter is ok. I have the same walkera 4 3b. The tail rotor do this because this helicopter has a gyro. Try to fly with it.

  • No, read the text to the right.

It says that he traced the problem to bad connections in the transmitter.

This heli is extremely unstable. Do NOT assume that it is a better version of a PiccoZ because it has full controls. The Picco has fewer controls and is far more stable and controllable.

I believe the answer lies in the orientation of the flybar to the main blades. On the Picco, they are NOT 90 degrees.

Walkera should so some research on this and fix their heli design.

  • extremely unstable? That would explain why I can't get mine to hover...I suppose you have to be pro to fly this. No matter, I will keep trying.. Eventualyl I'll just get the tornado from bananahobby it's pre-trimmed and comes with training gear so it should be easy, this one is really, reall difficult to fly.

  • dont listen to the hype this heli is extremely stable, it like all helis take time and practice (and a light touch!!) to fly because it is very sensitive on the sticks. Try, try again you'll get it and eventually, love it

  • yeah im still learning, the hood wont fit properly when i put it on for some reason it makes this whining sound really bad likem a grating sound any help?

  • make sure the slits that go over the skids arent ripped so the canopy is hitting the main gear, if so a small peice of clear tape or hot glue will fix it. any thing else just p.m. me

  • ahh...well, i'll check that. Thanks for the help I'm going to try that...also, is there any way to like, numb the controls for beginners?

  • sorry not on this, maybe if you had the walkera 8 ch series tx w/ dual rates, but practace and gently move the sticks just slightly, almost like you control it with your mind, you'll get it, remember tail in first!!

  • i dont get what the 8ch even is, like after 4 ch how do you even control the other channels, like, theres only 2 sticks on the controller, and thats 4 channels, so how do yuo control the rest?

  • This heli is extremely UNstable.

The new MSR Blade from EFlite is extremely stable, yet agile.

If EF can do it, why not Walkera ?

No, the 4#3B is seriously flawed.

The MSR, just like the Picco, has the flybar oriented Not 90degrees to the rotor.

I have the MSR on order. I'll post my findings here.

  • i suppose your right this heli is unstable, if you don't know how to fly it.

  • Eric,

I'm sure you're right about that. It's just that for all the excitement, no one can produce a video of this machine staying put in a hover for more than a second.

One second puts it in the category of hover by fluke.

If I'm wrong about that, perhaps you can shoot a one minute clip with the heli in a hover over one spot.

I learned to fly helis on the Dubro Whirlybird and their Hughes 300 BEFORE there were gyros. Next was GMP's Competitor and lately, the LiteMachines heli.

  • im not here to fight or debate, im a fan of walkera and ill admit i can maybe keep it in a 6" by6" square in hover but i cannot keep it perfectly still like a coaxial. ( I have an even harder time with my 4g3) as it is even toucher. I give you props for being able to fly the older machines (i'm only 30) i am curious to see how the msr performs, and I have never posted a video, but if i can figuer it out I will show you how my 4#3b flies. thanks

  • Eric,

I posted to RCGroups and RCUniverse my dissatisfaction with this heli. I pointed out that the PiccoZ didn't even have cyclic and despite NOT being, a coax, it was stable.

The key was the orientation of the flybar.

Well, the MSR has that, and now, the new, Walkera CB100 ALSO has that. And they brag about it.

No this heli IS grossly unstable. Thats why the MSR is so much better and why Walkera improved on it by making the new CB100.

Go to Walkera's website and have a look.

  • wow!! im about 3 weeks out of date, the last I saw was the 4g6! I think I will check this little guy out and order one. thank you

  • ok you win, I just ordered one from wowhobbies (cb 100) and it should be here monday... I will let you know!!!

  • That's cool.

I plan to order the head from the CB100 and install it on to my 4#3B.

I had got a second head for the 4#3B and tried to modify it to resemble what the CB100 is. No luck, there just wasn't enough meat there to play with.

  • i tried to find just a rotor head too, I think it's just too new!

  • sorry i havent got back too busy LOVING my cb100, came wed. and its like having a super fast co-ax no stress you just fly it!! good luck with your msr. a dealer here in town sells eflight so im going to look into it.

  • wow thats nice !!! Does it fly?

  • how much harder are these to fly then a coaxial eflite cx2? Any challenge?

  • they have been know to be as muchg as 53 times harder ti fly than the cx2. VERY difficult

  • I learn't to fly with only previous Picoz experience. They are quite unstable but great fun when you finally get there! especially outside!

  • Can somebody tell me the difference in flight characteristic between the 5G6 and the 4#3s?? Also Is it worth getting the brushless ones?

  • i think mines to having trouble with the tail rotor sometimes its slow aND THEN suddenly going fast i buy my rc too from heli pal...im so pissed off..

  • where did u order it from ?? im in the market to buy one, any advice?

  • Ok, all I can think of is to chech the connections.

  • Thanks, you were right. I just haven't had a chance to do that till today.
