Why does Yokozuna climb to the second rope to drop on an opponent? His ass is still only the same height as when he is standing. He should just squash them from a standing position.
Whether or not the match actually called for Austin to move out of way, it's a good thing he did. All of Yoko's weight would've fallen on him and he could've been seriously injured.
Jesus christ, 660lbs? I mean I know he probably WASN'T that weight but the fact it's somewhat believable and he is standing upright and not just lying on a bed washing himself with a rag on a stick is amazing.
miss yokozuna. Remember when i was younger i always got hyped when yokozunas music played haha good times. If only they made a DVD of him and Owen Hart that wouldve been beast.
Spud do u have any idea what ur talking about? Stone cold wasnt a noob in the wwf at that time, that was after his famous 3:16 speech and is what helped jumpstart his mega push, if he was a noob how would he have done that? Plus he was a great ahelete both in ecw and wcw, wcw pushed him wrong and derailed everything he had while ecw gave him what he wanted and showcased his talent, while wwf did what ecw done and paid him better
@SpudAlmighty Well, every other King of the Ring was on the SummerSlam card, and if I remember correctly, Brock Lesnar was on SummerSlam just five months after making his first TV appearance in the then-WWF.
@Tubewings Thats a completely different era you're talking about. When you have to rely on idiots like Batista and John Cena you'd want to bump up the talent quicker.
@SpudAlmighty Batista and Cena had just made their debuts in 2002, AFTER Lesnar I might add. Those two didn't get their super-pushes until after Lesnar left.
But going back to Austin. He had wrestled in the previous three PPVs, so why leave him off SummerSlam? And as I mentioned earlier, every other KOTR from 1993 to 2002, including the undeserving ones (Mabel, Billy Gunn), were on the main SummerSlam card. Does that make sense to you?
5 FACTS about Yokozuna: 1.Irons his clothes in a driveway 2. His blood type is Ragu 3. He wears an asteroid belt 4. He fell into the Grand Canyon 1 time....and got stuck! 5. His fave food is seconds.
I love the way stone cold isn't your usual superhero type wrestler he gets fucked up just as much as the person he's fucking up but he's relentless just keeps coming what a badass
kind of insulting towards yokozuna...pointing out the obvious fact that he was a fat ass by rigging the rope to break like that...and it was obviously rigged, because u can notice the top rope is looser then the other 2 ropes....R.I.P. YOKO!
Steve DID NOT shit himself in this match. It was on the following South Africa tour that took place after SummerSlam. That match was never released on video (and thankfully so).
@jzoom45 True... then again I don't think I would want to see the "proof" of it lol. Though I don't find it hard to believe that wrestling Yoko at that time being 600lbs would cause Steve to shit himself. Quite possible. I mean, if you were in the ring with 600lb Yokozuna... would you?
@KissMeImPunk Who knows. They never put out much on video for most of the international tours they did in the mid 90's. The '95 European Tour never got a video release either.
I remember seeing this in 1996. Yoko was a monster that feel from grace when Vader ended him. I was pissed. He was a true talent. He paved the way for the rest of his family. The last thread was the Usos. There will never be another Rodney Anoa'i.
@Tubewings No kidding. At this point he had gained a lot of weight and was used only to put over faces like Shawn Michaels and up and coming heels like Steve Austin. He years before this he was main eventing Wrestlemania, after that he was yanked out of the main event scene and put in the opening cards. It was indeed sad to see what he become. It was also sad that he passed away just years later.
Why does Yokozuna climb to the second rope to drop on an opponent? His ass is still only the same height as when he is standing. He should just squash them from a standing position.

Yokozuna is MUCH fatter here than during his first appearance in the 1993 Royal Rumble.

Yokozuna's brief career saw him face all the greats. Savage, Hogan, Luger, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, etc.

Yoko: OK, I'm gonna go on the turnbuckle. BIG SHAKE BIG SHAKE! :D
Stone Cold: This is the worst sight ever, Yokozuna's weiner.
Yoko: I'm half way up! FUCKKKKKKKKK!
Stone Cold: Oh crap. AHHHHHH! SEMI TRUCK!
Yoko: EEEEEEEEEE!

And first of all that was technically a rope break there LOL
