If you use a diaper service, they will simply upgrade you to the larger size when your baby is ready. No washing either. Just put the dirty diapers in the diaper genie, and put them out once a week. They pick them up, and leave behind a bag of clean diapers. Look in to a service in your area. Very practical, easy and affordable
A lot of the diapers looked kind of bulky, from all the ones you used what was your favorite brand? i just bought some bummis covers and prefolds but my baby isn't born yet and I don't know if i should buy all in ones also.
A lot of his diapers were very bulky, but he was a very large baby. At 4 months he was 20 pounds, super chubby, and outgrew most of the sized & "one-sized" diapers. He was wearing size Large Thirsties and size XL of other diapers. The prefolds I used for him were toddler-sized. So yeah, extra bulky, but that was due to fit problems with his large size.
My favorite (and I primarily used these) were prefolds and a cover. My favorite cover is the Wonder Wraps one-size (not in video). I had some bummis covers in newborn size and liked those, too. I liked pocket diapers & AIO's for the diaper bag. I used prefolds at home, though. My favorite AIO was by far the trim DreamEze. They dried fast yet were plenty absorbent all on their own.

I'm just now researching the cloth diaper option ...How did you wash them? Temperature and kind of detergent?
