  • Darn Hippies and activists! They ACTUALLY thought kids could think!

  • The beginning of the Green Generation.

  • At 0:38, I thought there was an explosion

  • @123segabcseg There was. An explosion of love..

  • Hmmm, concept of understanding.

  • I loved the music, but it always made me sad. Especially when the other flowers cowared when he tried to pick them. When I was little, i often thought of the "feelings" of inanimate objects. My sister and I call this "The Brave Little Toaster Syndrome". That movie changed the way I saw everything. lol.

  • "The Brave Little Toaster Syndrome" I definitely need to remember this!

  • @foxxyloxx same and I loved the "Brave Little Toaster" movies, so awesome. Miss my childhood.

  • i think this woulda scared the crap outta me as a kid... i was such a wuss

  • @pokinsmot

What about this do you think would have scared you?

  • he definitly feels the guilt at 23seconds.

  • the sun was the best part! :)

  • What pretty flowers

  • Sad, pretty, meaningful...man, they gave us a lot of credit back then, didn't they?

  • Those were pretty flowers

  • yes, they didn't patronize us kids in the 70's early 80's. I've always loved this one...

  • @SesameStrut

    They sure did!

  • I remember this treasure as a kid too. Its another one of my old favorite :-)

  • Do you know who animated this?

  • He was really getting high off those flowers! lol

  • *shudders* And so the guilt began....

  • I felt really sad as a kid when those flowers fell over.

  • I myself had trouble understanding the point of purely visual bits like this as a kid, but I'm better at getting it now. It's so cool that this is on YouTube. It's quite an emotional moment when the colors come up in the sky.

  • this really hurts my soul. i don't think i'll ever pick a flower again.

  • Yea StaceSesame I did too. I felt sad when the flowers fell over in the kids hand.( I don't know if I understood that they died at the time or not.) I also felt sad when he went to pick the other flowers and they were scared of him. Luckily it has a happy ending. It's amazing the concepts that we understood as little kids.

  • So, the message is: if a kid picks flowers, it's not a sign of innocence but is evil? Then I guess I was evil, LOL! Love the early Pink Floyd type background music.

  • This one was scary

  • I'm a 34-year-old married man and this brought tears to my eyes, as did another SS clip of flowers in the rain set to Antonio Vivaldi's Guitar Concerto in D Major (Largo). God is great :)

  • It was because of this clip that as a kid, I stopped picking flowers.

  • I think at the end when the little man did not pick the last three flowers not only were they happy but I think the colours in the sky came from God to forgive him for picking the first two.

  • That's a cool way of putting!

  • What an educational way to teach children about the sign "Don't Pick Flowers". c",)

  • i always thought the ending when the flowers were scared of him was kind of sad. :(

  • that made me feel sad too. I found myself saying "you should never pick flowers..just let them grow."

  • This made me feel sad as a a child too, although I thought the character was a woman.

  • This one is a classic, not to mention one of my favorite AWWW! moments on the show. Five stars!

  • I remember this one. It's quite haunting.
