It's been about 7 years since I've read the book and I remember the basic sequence of events, but not well enough to know how accurate the movie is. Can anyone tell me about how accurate it is (compared to the book)?
I really hate how someone's reputation follows them around like a bad smell after they do a movie, Kristen is perfect, I love her, I don't see how Twilight should affect the rest of her life, she might sound, be like Bella, but in reality she's not. Get over it.

YES! I loved this book in grade school and high school, and it is still one of the best YA books I've ever read. I totally forgot Kristen Stewart was in this.
If you have read the book first then the things that were changed will bother you when you watch the movie. The fact that in the movie the mom says she's going to therapy after looking at her daughter with her lips like that makes the mom an even worse parent. But I do like that she does talk to her in the end. I wish at the end of the book or right before the end her mom says sorry to her. But I guess that makes it more like real life, we have to find people outside our family to listen & care.

In my book, its a special edition so at the back of the book it has an interview with the author and she said what shocked her the most after the book was published was that she found out most guys do not understand why rape is so terrible for women to go through. Pretty sad.
Truth: It's true. But I do Love Kristen Stewert, and no this wasn't the best movie she's done. "Welcome to the Rileys" You should watch it! And yes, I read the book and watched the movie. The book is good. This movie is terrible. I only realized this was even a movie awhile ago an I got kind of excited until I saw KStew was in it and I was disappointed.

@girlicious1212 i don't think it did, but LHA (author)...well, i love ALL her books. They're all really great, and I don't even think *Speak* is her best one. So try Twisted or Prom (my all time fav) if you liked Speak.

Rape and sexual abuse/assualt has a much more bigger and different impact on females than males. (And I'm not being racist. To be honest, i have never really liked kirsten stewart, as an actress or anything. and ive watched a good amount of her movies, and not just twilight. though i will say, i think she did do a good job with this role, but emotion and it, and did this role well.

It set me straight for calling her a bad actress in Twilight but in all fairness, Bella's character in the book displays a needy, winey, self indulgent teeny bopper who can never make up her mind so as far as that's concerned, I suppose its fair to say Kristen Stewart nailed the part ha ha

@girlicious1212 i don't think it did, but LHA (author)...well, i love ALL her books. They're all really great, and I don't even think *Speak* is her best one. So try Twisted or Prom (my all time fav) if you liked Speak.

@ChocolateThunda84298 He's not an idiot. Males have different views and feelings on the things. Maybe becoming depressed because you get raped is weird to him. Rape and sexual abuse/assualt has a much more bigger and different impact on females than males. (And I'm not being racist. It is a proven fact that most rapes/sexual abuse/assualt happens to females, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen to males.)

To be honest, i have never really liked kirsten stewart, as an actress or anything. and ive watched a good amount of her movies, and not just twilight. though i will say, i think she did do a good job with this role, but emotion and it, and did this role well.
