please, maybe not the best games ever but certainly not a strong case to say billups sucks. he's always been about the small contributions, he won't put up 30 every night. some games he has 10 points, because he is busy contributing in other ways. billups is the best team player in the game.

in game 6 he was 4-7 with 2 steals and five assists. the next one was just a poor game. so what's your point?

I didnt say he "sucks" i said he "sucked" Those stats aren't bad. But you would expect something more out of a player of his caliber in the playoffs. If you watched the games I think you would agree he made several bad passes/bad decisions and needed to be more aggressive. Since nobody on Denver was making shots, he deff needed to take more than 7 shots, especially if hes the best player on the team. So many times he had open 3's pump faked and passed it out. Hes not Nene he needed 2 shoot more.

I'll agree with that. All season I couldn't decide if his modesty was a blessing or a curse. There would be so many games where he would get ten points or so, and it wasn't like he was shooting blanks, he would be like 4-6. He probably should have shot more, but his foremost specialty is making everyone around him better.

I really hate Billups' transition 3...

i mean sure it's great when it goes in, but he really needs to let his team settle in to try to help secure an offensive board before he takes that shot... I mean he's more than good enough to create a good shot against most defenders, I guess he likes to press the action sometimes, but often it's just bad decision making and a miss like that is huge in tight games as it gives the other team a free possession.

@Kiarip for billups the transition three has become more of signature move now.. more of a habit. and i mean why not? he knocks down those threes 80% of the time.

plus its the way and tempo denver likes to play at. they dont want to "settle in", they're a fast-paced fast-breaking team. nothing more demotivating for the opponent than to have your ball stolen and have a three shot in transition.

then again i guess this is why denver sometimes scores 130 and on other nights only score 80

I mean.. I don't agree that he knocks it down 80% of the time... that's ridiculous no one does that, but he's a pretty good three-point shooter, and a transition three is largely unguarded, although you do have very slim chances of getting an offensive board...

But i do agree that it's more of a psychological thing, than it is a basketball-decision thing. It's not at all a good play to do this regardless of who you are, but if it goes in psychologically its huge.

I think that a big problem for the Nuggets this season is rebounding. If you notice even in that short plays most of the rebounds were taken off by the Lakers. I think that they should give emphasis on that if they don't want to give other teams for second chance points.
