This is theoretical physics, key word being "theoretical". I was just saying, if they were Type 4 there'd be no reason to hide, they would essentially have control of the cosmos. We'd probably know they existed.

I don't believe in God, so I don't quite get the comparison. But I do agree that with technology, future civilizations are indistinguishable from magic.
