Spasm you should go and get all of the mars volta albums, Distance your self from commercial music and you wont think "what the fuck" so much anymore....
@Dickinfection9000 Commercial music? How do you know what kind of music he listens to? Why say it like that, sounds a bit snobbish, ya know? I mean no offense man, I remember when this album came out, and I still like to listen to them from time to time to this day, but maybe you should branch out from TMV?
How do i know? well i guess i just assume, in the same way you would tell me to branch out from TMV, which is a baseless statement. I branch out plenty, and while this is a great song, it is not the most complicated song ever, of TMV or anyone else. This just straight ahead progressive rock and yet the average person can refer to it jokingly as mind-boggling, as if their own ignorance, or lack of a more expansive knowledge of music is somehow interesting to anyone. The snobbery was intended.
@Dickinfection9000 Lol dude I was joking, I simply said it because of what you said to him. But complicated? Since when is that what makes great music? And why are TMV fans so damn snobby since you openly admit to it?
I wouldn't say being "complicated" makes or breaks good music, but it is part of what makes TMV and other more progressive bands stand out. And idk know if it is true snobbery, just a conscious, and intended breaking away from the BS that is fed to us by society, with lyrics that sound like they are by a 17yr old with anger/emotional issues, and "drop D" chuggas. Or music about someones ass..i hate that shit. I encourage others to hate it, its the only way to bring about change.
@PhunkyPhishPhan nothing wrong with a little phish.....or hell anything thats not going to remind me of the mcdonalds manufacturing process. Never cramping on style, just quality.
@Dickinfection9000 Glad to see you can actually take a joke unlike most people would have reacted to my comments, Kudos. Glad to see you're cool with us phans too. It's a shame how many people listen to one studio track by a band like Phish or the Grateful Dead(or any other "live band" that you would listen to live tracks as opposed to albums) and get turned off. If only the rest of the world could take a joke like you things would be alright, ya know?
5:49! when he sings "i'd like to see you after just one taste" and then trinity shoots the agent in the head! excellent synch
