Great Player, there is a guy similar to this one in mexico. plays for Chivas he is about the same age also! born in 1991 a year younger than Lansbury same position and bald.. he won the bronze ball on the U-20 World cup this year, his name is Jorge Enriquez nickname: "Chaton" young promise of Guadalajara
Cant believe lame Jenkinson is in the Premier League at 19 and talented Lansbury at 21 still in the second division. He is in the mix at Arsenal since the summer of 2008, and he proved him self several years in the championship, so i guess Arsene dont see a future for him at Arsenal. Donno why, he is an established, complete player.
Why do so many people hate on Diaby? I'm guessing half of the people that talk crap about him don't even watch Arsenal games and just jump on the bandwagon. Diaby's chances have been justified... on his day he can be a really great midfielder, but consitency seems to always be a problem for him.
@49Invincible I think that is peoples point, whilst I personally think on his day he is great, his injury problems mean he just can't get the consistent run of games. I am hopeful now Fabregas and Nasri have gone we might get a chance to see him at his best!
Love this player to bits, needs to work on the weight of his passes but other than that he's top quality. I hate that he keeps getting loaned to championship teams though, how is he supposed to hold up in the Prem if he's playing against lower level teams, come on Arsene
Also, he's much much better than the likes of Diaby, Denilson, Henderson (Pool). If Diaby and Denilson got to start so many games here, it'd be disgrace if Lansbury isn't given a chance to prove himself.
Don't forget, his first start was a goal against Tittenham Shitespurs. Plus, several spells with Scunthorpe, Norwich and Watford, where he has helped each of the teams push for promotion.
@manrani90 Cleverly and lansbury played beside each other for Watford and Cleverly was the more consistent midfielder but he was 2 years older both were nominated for young player in the championship
I don't think this is the best example of lansbury's talent, but almost all young players are inconsistent - lansbury makes up for that with his attitude and work rate, so even if his passing was a bit off on this occasion, he still fought to the end, scored and made other chances. This is the sort of player you need to win titles. I hope he can do that in the future with arsenal.
@RuddGerrath valid point at the moment sadly. That's what I liked most about Lanabury's performance. He was constantly looking to get it forward and push West Ham forward.
@CWDGunnereserves time and time again i can only say that you are doing a great job.some people like us do not have access to leagues like championship ligue 1 etc.it is only because of gooners like you that we too are able to know the progress of these youngsters.great job mate
@TeTs90x I made the comment ages ago ahaha. Of course, he's better now! I was just disappointed in him since he was one of my fav players, hence the comment :P
@MrPassionn you got that right, ahaha. I love our players mate. Even the ones not performing well. It was intended as a joke but look at the amount of thumbs down I've been getting XD
@ChopChoiceBeats If Diaby can prove me wrong then I will be the first one to raise my hands but with his injury record and his age I doubt he has a future with Arsenal. This season is probably his last shot to prove himself
@jikkh2x Hnederson went for 20m right? This kid is better and if you dont believe just watch the next U21 game. He was given once chance by wenger and he scored in that game
Plus even though he was caryying an injury he kept working his socks off for the team and if you remember that game went into extra time
The kid has talent to play for and he has the drive to achieve that. He will make it wait and watch
@indaks007 But henderson is average as well, even if liverpool spent 20 mil on him. Lansbury doesnt have enough talent to play cm or am for arsenal. Even diaby has twice as much talent as lansbury imo, lansbury is a hard worker, but his technique and passing is all over the place by arsenal standards.
And i have seen him for the under 21s, hes had some good games for them, but he clearly aint good enough for arsenal
@jikkh2x why do people say not good enough for Arsenal? the only time he started for Arsenal he was one of the standout players.
Lansbury came through our youth system, pass and move has been drilled into this guy since he was 10 and Diaby has a lot of potential but he's yet to make anything of that talent.
None of us can see the future so if Wenger brings him into the first team next season then I was right if not and he is sold then you are right
He's a fighter. Just needs to be more consistent with his passing, but he has the talent. Brilliant that he signed a new contract, and WHU is a great place for him this season.
He's still very raw. He has the talent and the ability, but he needs to refine his play and execute his moves/passes better. He's not ready for the first team yet, but I think this loan move will prepare him for that
He already made a big impact on Norwich to get them promoted, hopefully he can do the same for the Hammers, his profile should be raised. Especially coupled with his England U21 Performance recently. Would expect him to break into the senior team a decent amount of times in his career :P Same goes for Chamberlain
@kingcasey32 According to Arsene this will be his last loan out, the reason being is that West Ham's clear goal of the season is to return to the top flight. If Henri could have a large enough impact to do so, well he will surely be playing plenty of first team footy next year. And plus, Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, Yossi, Diaby, Arshavin, and Rosicky, why keep Henri on bench and reserves when you have 7 midfielders who deserve to hold a spot above him. + He signed a contract extension until 2015.

He's got Arsenal DNA in him and he will be the next kid to break into the team with Rosicky and Diaby making way for him.
Same goes for Bartley Squillaci and Djourou will be history next season.
