@iSkateNJx I belong to three off-road groups and we wheel Hummers, Jeeps, FJs, 4Runners, etc. several times a year. In short, just about every type of rig, and I'll tell you first hand that you're wrong. H3s are one of the most capable stock rigs that I've even seen on the trails, especially with the Adventure suspension and locker. If you do some mods, they are nearly unstoppable. Most of the videos on YouTube, including this one, are stock rigs, yet they still do great.

It has 4x4, clearance and a v-8. What the f-!? We had a jacked up cj-7 jeep when I was a kid. I'm sure the cj-7 could go some places my h3 couldn't but i'd choose my ride any day!! Btw, to all u ignorant goofballs, a low mileage used hummer starts in the low 20,000 dollar range.

Jeep keeps it's tradition while still pressing on with new technology/engineering. Look at hummer, H2's and H3's look nothing like the H1's, they also perform nothing like the H1's. Jeep took the original look, and adapted new parts and interior too it. While upgrading it tremendously. I guess what it comes down too is Jeep is still in business...Hummer is not...

@6202007 First off, the military uses HUMVEE'S, not hummers, Im not saying anything bad about H1's. I think the H1's are awesome. Just not as nimble as a Jeep. As for the military using them, I've had first hand experience with military Humvee's, I have 2 brothers in the military. They're huge, slow, and hard to maneuver. But being so big, they can carry 4 people with their gear safely. Jeep's were mostly replaced by Humvee's,and Humvee's will soon be replaced by something better and more safe.

I've seen liberty's, cherokees, grand Cherokee's own h2's and h3's. Another reason Jeep is better than hummer is the selection is offers. When hummer was in business is only offered 2 models. h2 and h3. Jeep has over 6 models. One for the business person, daily driver, and for the off roader. even though all of them can be DD's.

Seeing as Jeep set the 4x4 standard, and was before Hummer that doesn't really make sense does it?

@talus33 Jeeps may have set the bar 20 years ago but this is not the past! I bet the only reason why you are defending jeeps is because you own one. Am i right?

@ndplaya16 Yes, I do own one. You're right, its not the past, but the past is still a part of the future in the Jeep industry. Jeep keeps it's tradition while still pressing on with new technology/engineering. Look at hummer, H2's and H3's look nothing like the H1's, they also perform nothing like the H1's. Jeep took the original look, and adapted new parts and interior too it. While upgrading it tremendously. I guess what it comes down too is Jeep is still in business...Hummer is not...

@talus33 What new technology has jeep come out with? Im not trying to bash down jeep but i am just trying to get my point across that any hummer is better then any jeep. Jeep may still be in business but that is due to gas prices and the economy. Jeeps do get get better gas milage but i know that i do not care about the gas milage of my vehicle but that i am more worried about the performance. That is why i own a hummer.

@6202007 First off, the military uses HUMVEE'S, not hummers, Im not saying anything bad about H1's. I think the H1's are awesome. Just not as nimble as a Jeep. As for the military using them, I've had first hand experience with military Humvee's, I have 2 brothers in the military. They're huge, slow, and hard to maneuver. But being so big, they can carry 4 people with their gear safely. Jeep's were mostly replaced by Humvee's,and Humvee's will soon be replaced by something better and more safe.

@talus33 ok so you can put h1 vs wrangler and you can put any other jeep against h2 or h3 and see who's going too win......i'm confident thay h1 wins with wrangler and h2 and h3 wins with any other jeep out there. So as you can see hummers are better than jeeps thats all i'm saying.

@6202007 well you may think and be confident, but I KNOW from first hand experience. I've seen wranglers(all jeep from wrangler family),and Cherokees own hummer H1's. I've seen liberty's, cherokees, grand Cherokee's own h2's and h3's. Another reason Jeep is better than hummer is the selection is offers. When hummer was in business is only offered 2 models. h2 and h3. Jeep has over 6 models. One for the business person, daily driver, and for the off roader. even though all of them can be DD's.

@talus33 The point is, HUMMER is an OFFROAD BRAND. Unlike Jeep which as foofoo cars (the patriot) and all kinds of gay fwd "trucks" that cant do shit.
I've PERSONALLY WITNESSED my buddy with his HUGE lift wrangler with 35" tires and inline 6 swamp out his truck on his 4th or 5th pass thru some deep ass mud-water, that my BONE STOCK 1996 land rover discovery went thru about 2-dozen times without any issue. Look at my fav videos; its one of the first ones. He's a buddy of mine.

Granted, MOST dumbass people DO mallcrawl them. But not all of us. Check a few of my videos. Thats when it was bone stock. Now I have my torsion bars cranked, no nerfs, and am getting some bigger tires and a snorkel and a few other things in the next month.

@talus33 it really doesn't make sense, how many cars were the ones to set the standards years ago, but it doesn't mean that they are still on the top, and i'm not talking about off roading but in general.

@talus33 i would like one because they are different, i dont know about where you live, but here all there is, is jeeps, mustangs, and trucks, not many h3's or fj's

@talus33 h3's are meant for gas milage and civilian street useage with LIMITED OFFROAD CAPABILITIES. Do you even know what an H3 is? Do you even know WHY they made the H3?
This is pretty damn good for a civilian street-based 4x4. If you want something to compare your daddy's jeep to, look up the H1.

@ultimate0death They made the h2 and h3 because they discontinued the civilian H1. Except they stripped them of everything the H1 had for being off-road. That's why they are classified as a "luxury SUV". They target one main area of people, rich pricks who know nothing. I am in the Army, I have driving many military Humvees. Even the civilian h1's. I like how you tell me to compare MY Jeep to an H1, because clearly you know h2's and H3's are shit at everything except having rims!!

@ndplaya16.........Really? How much did you pay for the Hummer??????? You can buy a Jeep for $1000 bucks throw some tires on it and run circles around the H2 and H3.....with a few more mods...it could run circles around the H1 all while spending a very small fraction of the cost of any Hummer.

very nice. I'm taking mine to Rausch Creek next month. I can't wait. as far as the comment about Jeeps being better than Hummers. That's probably true, but I bought a Hummer because I like them. The off roading capabilities are just a bonus. Now, if someone bought a jeep because they like the look that's great. If you bought it for its off roading capabilities, that's great too.
