@pearlaking Many times the samples aren't in stereo and are very compressed due to the many files that they must store. therefore, the samples aren't as clear as the actual recording. I hope that my explanation helps. Thanks, Tom
Some musicians go through their whole lives studying music and playing music, trying to figure out the buisness end or trying to find their true voice, but maybe never really do. You've done it. This is really great. You, Tom Roush, and your band are artists. Thank you for this. I've always loved this song, and now that I've heard it the way the composer intended, it's the most beautiful song I've heard.
@kentecklund Thanks - That's quite a compliment. You're absolutely right about the music business. Today, it's 99% marketing and 1% playing. I'm just the opposite which is the reason that few people have ever heard of me but I do enjoy playing. As for a band, I've not been able to find anyone who wished to travel the road in music that I've taken. On all of my recordings to this date, I've played all of the instruments and sang all vocals. I'm proud that I've never 'sold out' .Thanks again -Tom
Oh thank you Tom - this is the most beautiful site I've ever seen. I can only imagine the work that went into putting this all together. From one grandma,a million thanks for the joy you are bringing me with the old tunes, your singing and the fabulous photos. Your attention to detail is incredible, using the original words written so long ago. I don't think I've ever seen anyone smile as there is in one of your photos here. Absolutely Wonderful.
Beautiful, thanks for sharing.

I have listened to the sample on Amazon but it doesn't sound quite the same. Where could I get this exact recording.
