This song basically is talking about a clearly lonely girl who had her heart broken badly cuz her dreams never came true. And she was strong enough to not let it get the best of her. And she moved on from the dissapointment of being rejected, failing and forgotten about. Beautiful song.

@ccrstarpanda Yes it is good to cry, but it means don't let them see you cry- don't give them the satisfaction. I'm assuming that "Don't cry out loud..." is a metaphor, meaning that it is good to cry, but not infront of what or who is making you cry. =) I hope that helped.
