What would happen if you have a whole number with a fraction that needs to be simplified. For example: 2 and 8/10. When you simplify the 8/10, does this affect the whole number??? I'm trying to help my daughter, but haven't done this type of math in years!!!
@nicnric1122 I cannot believe you are asking this, as this is the exact topic of my next video lol...In any event, you would just simplify the fraction part, e.g., 2 and 8/10 would become 2 and 4/5.
There are times when the whole number will change, but you are not likely to see this. It will be in my next vid, which will come out within the next week or so.
@james5000able math may suck, but if you think it's weird then go back and watch your 2G1C videos on the 'normal' side...you'll see what side is really weird.
@xtwilight321x2 I do not know how to explain in any more clearly. Think of it like this: you are looking for a number that can be divided by both the numerator and denominator. Listing factors for each is best since then you can see which factors are common to both. Once you have these factors, the biggest one will be the GCF. Now, you divide both sides by this number to get your reduced fraction. Email me through YT if you still don't get it.
Do you have a website?
