That jump can easily be done without items.

there's a much better shortcut than that.... from where video starts go left onto the ledge, jump onto the road before the pyramid, onto the wall on the right and then over to just before the starting line (careful tho, land AFTER the starting line and you're a lap behind!!) this may require the turbo pad cheat.

I loved that game so much. And I always thought there was a secret to be able to play as that final boss, Nitrus or something like that. I always tried to figure a way to get him.

One of the best games of all time , and definitely the best cart racing game.

IMHO it pwns any mario cart game( yes,i have played all of them before you ask.Not to mention that the last one is totally unbalanced... ) .

CTR was my favorite game on the playstation. it was incredibly fun

MKDD for Gamecube was a much better kart game than Mario Kart Wii, even though Mario Kart Wii outsold MKDD. But CTR is the best kart experience ever, and I still have it.
