  • Lol at 2:12 the lady in the middle was bouncing out of her seatXD

  • Placed second O_o??

    They shoulda got first!

  • amazing!

  • Absolutely amazing!! =)

  • Ahaha, look at the lady in the middle of the people in blue shirts. Her reactions pretty much reflect mine, I think! :D

  • @lttlpenguin haha she's one of the coaches

  • ladies, well done

  • its funny... i checked out your other videos on here.. i know u.. but u didnt go to my hs.. and why do u have our dance team on your video list.....

  • Just AWESOME--Great Lines

  • they are soooo together on EVERYTHING

  • ya gotta love those turning spots on the a la secondes.

    so. freaking. amazing.

    great ending!!! i love it.

  • WOW! omg! i couldn't take my eyes off the screen. so amazing and great song choice :D

  • Very talented! Awesome!

  • best sportsmanship? ha.

  • nice footwork ladies

  • Holy crap! haha i've seen plenty of high school dance teams, and it's not often i see something like this coming out of that level. normally, I can tell who the members are on the team that struggle, but i didn't see any member of the team sticking out! this high school must have a lot of girls who've been dancing for years. i don't think any of these girls are first year dancers. and while they're great, part of me thinks that's a shame.

  • does this team only do jazz because they werent at state kick the day after this year?

  • @kikidance Yeah they were, they placed 4th with their kick dance. It was the drumline themed one.

  • Awesome! pirouettes and fuattes were dead on!

  • i can't believe u guys got second, that was awesome!!!!

  • iis that minnesota

  • yes

  • wow this is awesome

  • That's amazing! To see such a great performance form a 3A dance team in my area is unheard of!

  • Amazing, I have never seen so many girls doing table tops so in time. I am truly amazed.

  • This is fantastic!

What's great is that no one stuck out like a sore thumb in any section of the dance, even the turns! It was all uniform and together.

The turns... wow. "FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC" -Tyce Diorio :)

I am mainly a ballerina, although I do all styles, so I really appreciate the cabriole and arabesque at 1:00. These dancers really had some great technique!

Most of my comments involve something along the lines of "good for a dance team," but this was good for any trained group of dancers!

  • first place musta been insane cause that was amazing!

  • it was im checking these teams out and they r all amazing good try maple groove i think its the same comp.

  • this was good...... just a little to stiff... not enough flow... you guys just need to express yourselves..... and then you will be amazing...... you guys have sooooooooo much potential you dont believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that high school is freaken huge!!!

  • Wow! That was fabulous!!!

  • Amazing! Fouettes were beautiful!

lovedd the dancee :) great job ladies!

  • its not a school.. its a competition.

  • that school has so many people... mine is about 2000!!

  • what about eden prairie high school? we are the third largest high school in the U.S.

  • EP has the same amount of students as Wayzata

  • but the school is still bigger

  • i go to cypress bay in FL, it THE biggest with about 5000 kids

    =/

  • u sure? ep=9000 people!

  • Local High Schools in California have at least 3000... schools near me have almost 4000.

  • Agreed! Wayzata and MG are great! They will continue being the teams to beat for years to come. Great Job! I know how much hard work it takes!!!

  • Eden Prairie!

  • two years ago, wayzata was the clear winner with their dance to "Fuego" and last year MG was hands down better with "Dream On." They are both remarkably talented teams with amazing technical dancers, wayzata just managed to pull off a flawless routine to beat mg this year. i dont think anyone should take away from either team's hard work and accomplishments. second place in a state like minnesota?!?! thats something to be mighty proud of, just as much as if you were the state champs.

  • congrats to both teams for having both done amazing work through out the years. :)

  • That is funny. Someone thinking Maple Grove did not deserve first at State 2008. Hahaha they are the godesses of High School Dance

  • Maple Grove did in fact deserve first place in '08. They were unreal. Flawlessly together on every move. It took my breathe away. And despite any issues that someone nay have with they're attitudes of whatever, Maple Grove's dancers are amazing at what they do, and winning is about being an excellent dancer. Don't take away from their success out of jealousy.

  • I believe Maple Grove deserved 1st in 2008...I don't think you were watching the same dance as everyone else. They were flawless..

  • You guys are really good! Everything is together with great timing and your execution is amazing! I noticed that all of the routines i've seen in this state are only 3 min long. At our state they have to be 6 min!

  • EVERYTHING was in complete unison.

    Amazing routine.

  • Amazing! I was in awe the whole time I watched the video. All the works you ladies put ino that routine really paid off. All of you have an astounding talent!

  • Great energy, great control and very nice syncrinization. Overall, excellent! =)

  • their really gud

  • yea, and i just heard from another vid that Minnesota teams cant go to nationals, why is that because i can already say that Maple Grove and Wayzata would make jazz finals

  • its because dance team in mn has set a season just like football, basketball and all those other sports. we also follow the minnesota state high school league rules and in those rules it states that we can't perform/compete outside the winter season. its kind of complicated, but i hope i explained it well enough...

  • and one comment, sorry for leaving so many Wayzata dance team, but i was also shocked to see that Minnesota loves only kick and jazz, missouri crowds usually find kick really boring, and jazz is the hardest to impress the judges with in missouri. i would say if missouri did what Minnesota did and picked only 2 routines for teams to do, the crowd would go for teams doing, jazz and hip hop, or hip hop and novelty

  • yeah it's really funny looking at each state and seeing what they enjoy doing the most. Dance is a huge sport in Minnesota, jazz really important to us since there are so many elite studios here and everyone comes from one.

  • yeah I'd agree, the funny thing after leaving for WI for college, all the high school dance teams in Wisconsin do pom..hah

  • i meant to say NOT as good as Eden Prarie and Chaska, but we try. i cant find a jazz from one of missouris dance teams which is wierd because we have like over 100 teams who compete.

A really good Hip Hop routine, Type In: "Park Hill South Hip Hop", and click the first video. i just wanted to show how missouri does there thing, but Minnesota's is better

  • of any of you guys one of Missouri's good teams. Type in: eureka goldenline

this team has one of the best kick's in the Missouri dance team association, as good as minnesota's kicks like Eden Prarie and Chaska, but we try.

  • i see that some teams like Wayzata and Eden Prarie do songs that Missouri would recongnize but teams like Maple Grove and Moundsview would be more lyrical almost modern

  • Yeah- jazz can be done so many different ways in mn

  • its evolved over the years too. like the more lyrical dances kind of appeared more recently

  • this is an AMAZING ROUTINE!!!!, the 7 turn @ 1:41, is beautiful!!!

i live in missouri and the missouri dance assocation allows alot of routines for teams to choice from. Ex: jazz, kick, pom, hip hop, military, novelty, showcase, mix, and prop.

I just wanted to know why minnestoa only has 2 routines that teams can do?

  • There was a time that mn had pom. I think that it was just for one year and then they got rid of it. I know that when my sisters were on dance team- in the early 90's- they had prop. But they got rid of that also.

prop and pom are just not that popular in mn. It's mainly kick and jazz. But there can be a lot of different ways to do jazz.

  • ok the trojets do so many different dances at games and other stuff

  • u guys r insanely good! don't worry about these bad-mouthers. they're just jealous of you.

  • I wish someone would post their kick routine!

  • they didnt get worse mg got better. and if anyone has a big head its maple grove

  • I totally agree (with danceteamer8) that Wayzata did not get worse. I mean look at them, they are amazing. In fact I think they were cleaner than they were last year. There were some elements in their dance last year that gave it a bit more of a wow factor.

  • wayzata is the sweetest bunch of girls with the best sportsmanship ive ever seen at any competition. they treat everyone as their equals and dont talk trash to teams which is more than i can say for some teams... they did an amazing job.

  • If you have ever spoken to us or one of our coaches you would know how hard we work and how many hours we put in to being the way we are. We go into every competition like we are the underdog and thats what pushes us. Think before you speak because that was a complete false statement. Maple Grove deserved first. We all knew that. What we did was try and make the best dance possible to close the gap.

  • Having first hand experience with Maple Grove and their coach, I'd agree that you work hard, but have really terrible attitudes. Sorry, but you are all very condescending. Don't bother to attend a competition at Maple Grove because the outcome is always the same. And no, Maple Grove did not deserve first place in 2008.

  • dancmom65

I was talking about Wayzata being a great group of girls, which they are.

  • Wow, who are you? ...Or maybe I'm not understanding your perspective, but your comments seem very juvenile. If you are an adult act like one. Attend a comp at MG, if you're deserving, you might win...So, who should've won in '08? "08 Judeges were unanimous, what's with the negativity?

  • I am the mother of a former dance team member. I DID experience Maple Grove's attitude first hand, for four years while my daughter danced on a highly competitive dance team that competed against them at state. I am an adult and I do act like one. Simply because my "perspective" of MG's dance team differs from yours doesn't make me juvenile. That's just laughable. I am entitled to my own opinion, and yes, my daughter's team did beat MG soundly at state when my daughter was a senior.

  • I think Wayzata's dance program is awesome, and I think they deserve the win. And no, I'm not affiliated with Wayzata. Dance is highly subjective and I prefer Wayzata.

  • I am affiliated with Wayzata and Maple Grove hands down deserved first in 08....this year Wayzata blew it out of the water but last year MG deserved it!

  • Yeah, but they stole our song..

    this wasnt their original Song.

  • they didnt STEAL your song

they found a better one than they had already had

  • You don't even compete against eachother. No big deal, alot of teams use the same song every year...Wayzata was amazing and I'm sure you guys looked good too.

  • they are amazing but i wish they would have came with a big bang this year like they did last year!

  • Damn these girls are Fiierce!
