I would say it's worth buying if you want experience something differen't from the SVR series but rent if you want it to hold you off until SVR09. The 3 main issues with this game are

1. Trying to kick out of a pin is a total pain because you are probably going to break the joystick on you're controller.

2. Story mode has to many tag matches.

3. Not enough to keep you going for too long.

Yeah you have some good points. SvR 2008 wasn't a bad game but it had some good story modes in, 24/7 and once you beat 1 year you do all the story's all over again. SvR 2009 would be even better if it had repeating storylines.

SVR 2009 looks do be improving in some good area's especialy in the season mode area. Road To Wrestlemania so far looks really interesting. SVR's 24/7 mode was horrible but they had decent things in it i agree.

I was the same as you, I heard reviews, most of them bad, but I still wasn't sure.

I then asked a close Online Friend of mine, he told me he REALLY doesn't like it.

He said the AI is to powerful, they reverse alot, and it just gets boring quickly.

Instead of this game, i'm getting Brothers In Arms.

My Advice: Don't spend your own money on this, or choose this instead of another game. Get it for Christmas off somebody.
