Honestly, the tablet is okay and is indeed innovative but I think Nintendo really just needed to focus on the gaming aspect and the graphics so they didn't get left behind by Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo doesn't need the tablet and never needed the wii mote. All it needed was the novelty of the systems of old with 3rd party games like COD and of course the better graphics and people like me would have flocked to Nintendo anyways.

But seriously how much more can you improve graphics, we r fast reaching the point were differences are so minute it is very hard to actually notice. I should clarify that when I talk about graphics, I'm talking games like Madden because before Nintendo was making there madden games look outright cartoonish and with graphics that could pass for old school N64 and Playstation. They now have leveled the playing field so now to me at least it'll be equal to Sony and Microsoft with whatever they bring out next

Truth is, I'm a simple minded guy. I still play the old NES that was given to my brother in the 80's and I still play the SNES that was given to him in the 90's. I can't help but to think to myself, why is it that these systems and games feel so much more special than the Playstations and Xbox's of today? I can see a future where handhelds and consoles integrate. This is the earliest stage. Soon enough we'll get consoles where you can play the full console Games on the console at home then download the data to the included tablet controller and take it on the go. Then the controller will have its on medium of playable games that are proprietary for the controller itself. This way, the line between handheld and console will be blurred.

@blackcell1 Sony was only able to make a powerhouse like the Ps3 because they dominated for 2 gens and the wii was underpowered because nintendo didnt profit from the gamecube. Now sony has lost alot of money from the Ps3 and is currently losing money with the Vita. Last time the wii use outdated hardware, now the Wii U is using 2011 tech, so in order for there to be A difference like the wii to ps3 then the next sony console would be 1000$.
