@VicmelEpres I will admit...first class was better...just. X-men was ok, X-Men 2 was brilliant, especially for its time and X-men first class was...well, brilliant yes but only slightly more better then X-men 2 imo. Last stand destroyed Bryan's hard work with the first two films, he'd built it up to the third and then it got ruined.

I never read the comic books at all, or watched the cartoons but the films were so interesting that I'm so glad singer is back.

Perhaps there was a contract and the film was being demanded by the studio to be completed by a date. I mean, it wasn't a horrible film...it was jus ridiculously average when compared to X1 and X2...He could legally remake it...I mean, most films get remade years into the future but whats stopping him?

@VicmelEpres yer, Superman doesn't exactly have much depth for Bryan to work with anyway. I mean, the Mutant Civil war, as well as the war with humanity and the fact that the majority of mutants just want to be accepted by humanity is plenty for Bryan to go on.

With superman, its just a guy whos baiscally invincible who can pratically destory everything against (as you say) a guy he could kill with a finger. Bit thin for Singer to try and make a realistic story with it

And if Bryan singer stepped in and brought science into it like he did with X-men and have a plot about...i dunno, he can't remember his parents or where he came from etc.

and that he naturally pushed out my society because of his power and hes trying to be in alliance with humans and still fight evil...then he might upset the true fans.

@VicmelEpres a lot of X-men fans kicked off about his adaptation of the movies in X-men 1 and 2 because he didn't stay loyal to the comic books...even though they were good films, they didn't feel they complimented the original cartoons and comic books and I loved them but these 'die hard' fans didn't like it.

So thats what I'm getting at, I just don't think he wanted to do the same thing again with superman...when really, he should have done

Bryan Singer definitely worked hard on this movie, compared to the others of the 2000s: great cast, nice emotional scenes... This prooves that an X-Men movie without Wolverine can obviously be AMAZING (and even better!).

i just wanted to respond to all the post bashing how this ausome movie does not stick with the comics. I feel all of you guys, thats how i felt before watching the movie but then if you think about it, the first 3 xmen movies F***ed it up. they wasted it by making iceman a teen in xmen 1, angel doesnt appear in xmen 3, and other popular characters such as gambit, nightcrawler, colussus, were either butchered or wasted as background filler characters without any develop.

We'll see if this addition to this frachise allows him to continue from where Xmen3 left off, wtih the possibly of moira find/rescuing Xavier from his untimely demise.
