I'm amazed that no one has commented on your video since it was posted. First, I think your logic is impeccable. You're absolutely right.
I also think many Christians must overcome even more glaring logical fallacies and factual inconsistencies. If one were to take the position that the Bible (any version) is a true and accurate account divinely written through the hand of man, ignoring inconsistencies, one would have to conclude that god is insane, immoral, and genuinely evil.
Of course, most christians would then get defensive and state that this insane, immoral, genuinely evil god is the ground for all goodness, and thus cannot possibly be atrocious... by fiat. This, as you can suspect... leads to all sorts of insane, immoral, genuinely evil acts by christians.
@plightweisgoff That's what's so exquisitely ridiculous - and clearly demonstrates their delusion.
If one were to presume that a belief in that god provided some sort of moral guidance, then the bible would demonstrate that there is nothing inherently wrong with incest, genocide, child killing, human sacrifice, or slavery - while eating bacon or wearing cotton/wool blended fabrics is always punishable by death.
Ignoring the inconsistencies of one's own beliefs is the prerequisite of godliness.
