It took me 15 minutes to watch a 5 minuet video.... 10 minutes were spent trying to find out where the periodic beeps were coming from! I got suckered into buying an RC Heli once at the mall (believe it was called the dragon fly). After the sales pitch, I thought wow I would be crazy not to buy it! The sales guy said it dose all kinds of stuff. It was like watching a one winged dragon fly having a seizure! Explains the "Absolutely NO REFUNDS on the receipt! O'well live and learn I guess!
The beeps are the count-down timer in my 14MZ transmitter letting me know how much time is gone and left on the flight. You've probably figured that out by now...
E-powered R/C heli's have made it very easy to produce simple, mass-marketed models to sell to the uneducated public. It's too bad the sellers don't always feel like being 100% honest and let the buyers know it's more difficult to master flight than it first looks.
Thanks guys. Picking up my new spectacles today so maybe I'll be able to see and fly better. This heli 'leaves town' so quick and there's so little in visual clues, once cruising at speed it takes sharp eyes to keep tracking it.
