think about it,,if you were born in the 40's and 50's,you had nothing but good influential drummers back then like rich and roach and krupa,,now,,if you pick up the drumsticks, you have crap metal drummers as your influence.
Yeah, right, if you consider death from use of the tobacco drug as a "natural cause". Like 5,000,000 addicts around the world every year, he was effectively murdered by the tobacco pushers and their weapon of mass destruction.
The British adopted Jimi like he was an Englishman, the Experience were a British invasion band. The British though pretty much adopted Buddy Holly too and made him a superstar way before Texas.
Glad to have met Mitch once and gotten his autograph along with Noel's on my 'Electric Ladyland' album. Good to see they did proper recognition of Mitch's death. However, if they really wanted to do a story they should use their airtime to show how the British Government is currently disallowing evidence for the murder of Jimi Hendrix from coming forward.
why are the two Mitch Mitchell sound bites about 1) he feels bad about having shagged groupies, and 2) Hendrix cooking with a guitar on? How about the music academy he was recruited from to join the Experience, maybe something about his drumming style? Talk about damning with faint praise! Mitchell was fucking incredible, certainly for a rock drummer ( I won't put him up against the various jazz drummers, but he was good enough to play jazz if he'd chosen. Well, God bless your soul, Mitch
GUys help me out. What is being played at 0:42?

@Freakishd Voodoo Child slight return at Lulu. One of the shortest versions of voodoo child ever, shorter than the studio version.

I'm a guitar player, not a drummer. But just listening to Mitch play you can tell he"s a talent. He's incredible on Manic Depression .

" more acceptable to a very racially stratified radio scene in the United States".
