1st: it's "freedom of thought"... "freedom to think" means "think or let it be. we don't care"...

2nd: you are right that it is wrong to criminalize the debate about anything. Still, to honor the SS and praise what Hitler did is comparable to praising rapists or childmolesters... A bunch of sick people with sick ideas that unfortunately got the power to make them reality. Never again!

Alltough the way cruel insane dictators are seen during their process often destroys any myth about them, proving them to be the sick poor bastards they actually are. That would make the nazi-point of view nowadays a lot harder to believe. Disappearing of racism would have been a nice thing, but we're going to get rid of them anyway...

not really an instinct.. it's the product of "too much fear is better than not enough" (because the peoplethat werent frightened enough got killed early => not our ancestors), the comfort of categorizing anything to avoid to much thinking (= too much energy consumption) and the general "don't think too much"-mentality.

in short: it's a byproduct of stupidity inherited over generations. But definetly not an instinct...

that's something I can agree with. I too don't understand why asking questions is illegal. I guess it was a law that made sense back in the time, when almost the whole population had witnessed the cruelties and doubting what happened just disagreed the common sense. But the "don't question any detail"-policy 60+yrs later is wrong.

If you cannot ask questions, you will never get answers. No matter what they might be.

I think that silly incident in which people shot BB guns at "holocaust" visitors was done by the Mossad. The Mossad also killed Jorg Haider and have faked hate crimes against them in order to have more restrictive laws passed. Did Europe "Fall" Before Israel Existed . ? What does Israel's existence matter to us. Only 20% of Jews live there. Israel is a non issue and we should be neutral in middle east wars. They can take care of themselves just fine.
