  • Car still for sale? do you still have original ROH 17*8? or does it come with the phantoms?

    Kms? Condition? KM per Litre?

    Cheers Mate

  • Already PM'd you mate :)

  • That sounds nice. Listen to mine sometime.

  • Cheers. Will do now. :)

  • Make sure you listen to my latest vid (Nissan Maxima Revs 3). Comment it as well.

  • nah bro u got that wrong the new Maxima's r Maxima's from Nissan

    the "Infiniti" version is the "I30" & " I35 "

so yeah had 2 clear that w/ u

bcuz there r 2 different verisons

in the US just 2 let u know

    peace

    73chevy350

  • Sweet. We only have the one - Infiniti doesn't exist here.

  • aight

    good 2 know

  • How much was exhaust

  • $1,100.00NZD which roughly equates to $800USD plus shipping...no idea sorry mate but JOOSDAWG who also commented on this bought the same setup and had it shipped to the US from Auckland, New Zealand bro. PM him. Cheers :)

  • real keen on ur car, i used to have a 5 speed manual one in blue, fantastic car. ow much you want for it??? email back

  • Replied bro. :)

  • Ha. All NZ -new 'Maximas' are what you guys in the states call Infiniti I30's bro. Sadly I'm in New Zealand so you're probably out of luck bud. :)

  • Sorry pushed the wrong thumb - take it as a THUMBS UP! :)

  • Wow sounds so much smoother with those headers. I have a custom 2.5" exhaust with one of those straight through imitation Greddy SP2 type mufflers and while it sounds absolutely sexy it's not that smooth.

  • Cheers Future. SP2's a nice exhaust...Woolf Mufflers still make my headers...

  • Sorry JOOSDAWG! I meant to say an evo not a scooby...my bad mate.

  • hahaha obviously the evo owns the living $hit out of the maxima but its all in good fun. The evo runs 11's at the 1/4 and is all hand built custom turbo kit by myself aswell as the full exhaust and intake systems ;p The only thing i dont want to mess with on the maxima is the headers/extractors i want the equal length tone without having to guess to see what it sounds like when welding them up so i want to buy premade items. Know what i mean?

  • The equal-length is a must with our engines mate. I've been looking at your videos of your Evo...pretty mean ride you have there mate. :)

Just remember that the headers (you call them extractors) give it the high rpm sound - the lower rpm, idle and start-up for my smx is as a result of the whole thing, particularly the RPS cat-back which I wouldn't recommend UNLESS you're manual. Cheers PHATS.

  • Hey is there any way you could take another video clip like this to switch it up. Like one burst from idle to rev limit then some quick high rpm revs to really hear it from outside? i really want to hear more. My extractor set will be coming very soon :):)

  • Yep - I'll make it tomorrow mate.

  • thankyou SO MUCH!! You are THE MAN!!

  • No worries mate...your ride is a scooby eh not a Maxima?

  • Well i have a maxima aswell as an Evo VIII ;)

  • You lucky bastard! :0 :)

    So which is faster?!

  • well ive been in contact with Brad at woolf and its looking like it will actually come out cheaper. Thanks for the help!

  • Sweet. I'm glad you're getting what you want mate - I can't speak highly enough of Woolf's products. If I could afford it I'd get them to fabricate me a full 2.5" exhaust from the Y-pipe back but I can't at the moment. :)

  • yea i was just checking all options i may have. Theres no access to gen 1's anymore its all gen 3 and there close to $1000 us dollars!

  • USD$1,000 is approximately NZD$1,400 and my Woolf headers and Y-pipe cost me NZD$1,100 cash. It's going to be a close-run thing for you mate with P&P included. Don't let me dissuade you at all mate - if you want some seriously cool sounding headers and a MASSIVE power boost past 4,000rpm then get them mate. :)

  • I contacted woolf mufflers via email regarding getting a set of there headers shipped stateside but never got a reply. Do they still make these headers? msg me in private if you want.

  • As far as I know (haven't been in contact with them for about a year mate) they still make them . I don't mean to work them out of business but Joos - wouldn't it be easier for you to get a set of Gen 1. Cattman headers...? I'm pretty sure they're the same thing. I could be wrong but I don't think so mate.

  • yea the computer also has a tickle by the millen boys but im nt sure nz versions had it done but i had a berry wine coloured 1 with the 5speed millan short shift, these cars factory were 224hp yet sum wud dispute that but its true seeing that the factory maxima is 190 hp the smx also does 0-60 in 6.8-7 secs dependin on hw fast u cud shift apart frm that its sounds pretty mean aye

  • Cheers Truebolt. A genuine SMX brother! You're a lucky bi-atch to have got your hands on a 5-speed. I'm automatic sadly but one day when the funds are there I'll be doing a swap - hopefully try and fit in the newer 6-speeds that the USDM-specs maximas have. Check out our maxima website on my youtube homepage mate. Cheers :).

  • yea i alway wanted 1 wen i saw my first 1 in 1997 and manual 1 was only 18 then so it was way out of my range, but iwas able to afford 1 in 2005 i found it in the auto trader so igot them 2 brng it up from bay nissan in tauranga and sealed the deal 4 a steal at $9600 it had done 190,000 but that wasnt the point the point was it was a manual haha but ill chek out ya page man thnx dude

  • that has to be the best sound exhaust on a VQ30 Ive heard so far, just wondering how does that Y-pipe compare to a Cattman one

  • Cool! I'm glad you like it. Woolf Mufflers in Auckland used to manufacture Cattmans Gen 1 products...so they're pretty damned good. It's the whole mix that makes it roar...does drone though at low-speed though. Ahh Trade-Offs.

  • sounding real nice.

  • Cheers bro, I like it.

  • sounds great fo sho, however it's a little too much for me.

  • Yep - it's a great sounding exhaust but it can be a bit much when you're in traffic or with the family. Luckily we drive my wife's Maxima when we go for family trips, which is a good thing with a big bore exhaust on a Maxima...

  • That sounds good for a Maxima!

  • Cheers bro.

  • sounds sick man!!!!!

  • Cheers bro.

  • ah, ok, your in another country, I did not notice that. lol... I have a 98 SE. I like the exhuast btw. I;m thinking of slappin on a Greddy SP2 with a budget y pipe combo

  • Nice exhaust the SP2 and a decent Y-pipe will give so much more power - really night and day stuff compared to stock. :)

  • 96 max? That rear looks like a 93-94 trunk..

  • She's a 1996 A32 SMX Maxima mate. In NZ, Maximas have a very similar body and spec to what you guys call the Infiniti I30. Do you really reckon she looks like a J30?

  • thats phat dude !

  • The might crampd! Praise worth remembering! :) See you in July mate.

  • Not bad mate. Not bad at all.

  • Cheers Phatsam - cool name by the way bro! :)

  • Idle, low revs and redlines incredible for a 3.0 Jappa V6 but the mid-range drones a bit. You should consider changing your rear muffler to get rid of that 4,000rpm drone.

  • I wish! If I had the money I'd ask Woolf to manufacture a cat-back exhaust for me. It does drone in-car too...sore ears sometimes.
