Before the album came out as Bad Girl in 1991, it was originally supposed to come out back in 1989 while she was still on the German record label Teldec. But disagreements between the label and her then-manager Jack Gordon caused the album's release to be cancelled there and her to be dropped from Teldec and they had to release it on their own as Bad Girl.
