@Pico0 Its a good competition... I think it can beat the PSP2. The 3ds has better features, not only for gaming, but also for friends, etc... PSP2's features are mainly for games, *except for GPS*

@micks4522 yea not really. on the 3ds you can't even send messages to your friends yet. sony built the ngp around great social interactions and the psn friending still works better than friend codes

@matey27 know i now what you mean but don't think that sony or microsoft don't have this kind of technology because they do the fact is that, no one really wants a handheld as their console. now say nintendo does a comeback with with whatever console they are making, trust me, it will never surpass sony's or microsoft in any way, but you are right it is very powerful

Sadly, in some aspects, yes. Although the 3DS has a lower polygon and pixel output than the wii, its 'effects' (anti-aliasing, self-shadowing, shaders, etc.), which the wii lack, are all it takes to make appear better. Take this video for example. It demonstrates the 3DS's shading and shadowing abilities.

Nope... Capcom CONFIRMED this is realtime graphics running off the 3DS. Although we do not know much about the 3DS processors, a lot of developers seem to be impressed with how 'powerful' this device is. They even got Kojima, creator of Metal Gear, onboard, so it's fair to say that the 3DS is stronger than the psp.

two word on the 3ds ,holy crap!!!!for once nintendo made a handheld that i would buy,it looks like it would sell great but any of you heard of the dreamcast,that console was very advance for its time it matches the ps2 bfore that was out and it died cause of segas mistake on making to many consoles.this looks like tha same thing,really look on how nintendo is doing on the handheld it released 4 so far ds, ds lite, dsi, dsi xl, and now 3ds im afraid if i buy this i will have to buy another 1 soon

@y2jarmy is it its successor, because I hear nowadays successors always turn out better than their Predecessor. you see, the thing about next generation is always about better graphics, features and other specs. I just hope nintendo isnt makeing the same mistake as they did with the DS (-lite- then - Dsi - Dsi Xl) see what Im saying, lets just hope whatever wii or successor they're making competes with the ps3 and 360 in terms of graphics... not just a mere update of the same thing...
