  • @RockySeven7 Esus

  • I knew that's a good old STRAT! :D

  • As with other comments I too am self taught and have never been able to my play a decent riff. I can never make mine sound bluesy but after just a few minutes practicing what you have shown I have noticed an improvement already. Thanks a lot.

  • Svensk :-)

  • miles davis, honky tonk?

  • thx man, that helped me alot with licks

  • great really good

  • Hooray for Swedish guitarists! Got that Nordic groove.....

  • what is the song your playing called

  • You will have no problems giving blood with them veins!

    and you too, hahahahahahahaaaaa

  • Muahaha, jag kan höra att du är svensk

  • tnx men ur blues is great...

  • Det låter som Stevie's Blues av Tommy Emmanuel.....

  • haha the G string =D

  • wow thanks

  • sounds like stevie's blues by TE :D

  • ah ma gawd, i love the blues and im a beginner, i can do the e minor pentatonic scale perfectly now but im still only a beginner - i have a basic grasp on how to play the guitar, could someone tell me if playing a lick like this is demanding for a beginner, or okay so long as i practice? thanks

  • please tell us how to do that last bit

  • what were that last two chords in the shuffle at the end????

  • Ahh, A great lesson, as always

  • is it blues in E means that u play the licks in the key E???

  • @andieyrock Yes.

Look up to minor and major pentatonic scales in E, the notes are in that scale. (I'm a beginner, dont thrust me fully :) )

  • i just wanna say that your one of the best guitar teachers on youtube great job mate ;D

  • Thanks guys, glad to hear you like the lesson. I am from Sweden. I used a Marshall JVM410H on that video, and the sound was captured from my Canon HG-20 camera microphone (DM-100).

  • @rotren Sweden?? Malmo maybe???? xDD

  • You have such a funny accent, dude... Where's that from? :D

  • can i ask about your tune and tone setup? thanks

  • All I can say is WOW !Finally someone who can teach me something , awsome job ,buddy , I will looking for more for sure Tks

  • wait, is this not in Em/G?

  • this is great :D

  • UNRENDERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!

  • Just what I wanted 2 learn. Thank's a lot.

  • Thankyou so much. Like another commenter on here, this is the 1st time i have managed a decent blues rift. I can play most chords but rifts have been so difficult to learn from books. I like your "step by step and repitition" method. I was going to make a comment about not showing the right hand but it all falls into place just following your instructions. N.B. On the 3rd fret E string i tend to play with 2nd finger from thumb not 3rd. I wonder if this is a problem for later on.

  • @pilgrimpater Thank you, that won't be a problem. Play it that way if you prefer, there's really no right or wrong way to play this.

  • Great lesson, mate. keep it comin'

  • is that an arctic white, rosewood hss strat? i just ordered mine online yesterday, and "calmly" waiting for its arrival....

  • 2:41 -2:44,2:44-2:47,how did u do it? couid u make a ViDEO 2 for it????thanks a lot..............

  • 2:39 Is what I was looking for

  • nice going bro..........

  • hey may you send me this tab?? please

  • HAHAH YESS i paused it on unrendered ..FIRST TIME!

  • @dedbul Me too!! I tried like 20 times LOL

  • Not a slow lick, but very nice and easy to follow. What's the chord riff between lick? YOu have a video for that part too?

  • thanks. nice and clear lessons!

  • Hey man you are the best so far that I have seen on here that makes it look so easy.

    Thanks for sharing

  • Damn, this sounds good! I can't wait to get home and get out my Strat. Thanks for sharing.

  • 10 stars out of 5 , Thank you so much,,for 20 years I have been trying to learn on my own and in just a minute amount of time you have given me more understanding .. clearly I need to practice more with your videos ... where do I send the money ?

  • Send all your money to dolphinstreet . c o m - haha :)

  • @rotren how about that second lick? lol!

  • great video

  • Great lessons thanks.

  • Im a drummer, but Ive always wondered which actual "Scale" the blues and most rock n roll tunes were played in...I work with a lot of the older traditional country players who do NOT play this style...maybe by knowing which scale they need to be playing when I sing a blues or rock tune I can introduce it to the "western swing" pro's by telling them...you need to "Learn" the "Blues Scale" if youre gonna play my songs correctly. I play your songs right...now play mine right~Fair is Fair

  • Blues players use Pentatonic scale.

  • @Whiteneca blues players use a more advanced version or the pentatonic called the blues scale

  • @firegeek22 ohhh I mistake :D

  • @Whiteneca haha

  • @firegeek22 :D :)

  • i love your lessons man, You show everything slowly and clearly! thanks alot!

  • whicked sick, but i really need to know the rest of what u played cus having it all together makes it sound sweet

  • Great lick! Thanks!

  • good video man! gonna impress my mates with that!

You break it down real well, easy to learn :-) 5*s

  • i like

  • I see you live in Canada, not in Vancouver by any chance??

  • No sorry, I am in Alberta.

  • @rotren you live in edmonton?

  • @musicbruise No, in Camrose. Want lessons? Contact me either here or on my website dolphinstreet

  • AWESOME!

  • this almost sounds like an old Delta Blues lick. nonetheless its really good

  • hendrix would more... play it... and condense the last part... like one bar with a lot of pulloffs .. as a fill in..

but this is really.. basic and helpful!

  • i wouldnt say hendrix really, more like just blues in general

  • Good job

  • very similar to tommy emmanuel's stevies blues:)

  • nice dude.. keepem commin!!

  • EXELENT!!!

  • thanks, very cool lick, and easy too ! ;:D

  • wat chords were u playing at the end?

  • Nice thanks..

  • very true!

  • Thanks man, this is a sweet lick!

I love contained "songs" like this.

Normally don't ask for tabs, but do you have tabs for the whole thing (2:40 through 3:10)? (I have the lick down by watching ur lesson, but the rest would top it off :)

  • thank you for sharing this video, it helped me a lot man! I'm so happy!!

  • octaves/position*

  • oh btw what are the last two chords i cant figure it out

  • I LEARNED THE WHOLE VIDEO!!! sept the twelth fret stuff i dont care about that

  • maybe u should take the time to learn the part on the 12th fret cause its good in any style to be able to play the same thing in different octabes positions so u can flow around the guitar like nothing. :)

  • I would like to know what chors are played at the end of the video... Please if someone can help me ;)

  • It looks like a C7 to a B7, which is a normal progression in E.

  • Its B7 down to A7 to E, tahts the basic E chord progression :L

  • I wish we could have learned more about the cords....

  • dannng check out that vein
