I love the top popping at the end. My family's first dishwasher was a beautiful stainless steel fronted model in a mid-century home we rented in Indianapolis. This was 1968. An uncle's dishwasher supposedly popped open when done, so we all sat around watching the first "run". Of course, nothing happened. So now, whenever I'm sitting with a bunch of people staring at something that's just not going to get exciting, I say, "Picture it: 1968, when we got our first dishwasher..." LOL
This is like a dream, where did you find this brand new? I could not believe the condition of this....It matches Helen Bowdish's in Flushing, Ohio.......exatly the same in white....only hers was installed in at the time it was made.....still runs perfect....harold in Wheeling
Hi Brent. Thanks for the comments. It is a beautiful machine, especially inside the dishwasher - the porcelain tub and entire sink top is just in such mint shape. She purrs like a kitten. And 'Yes' this machine is going to be installed in my kitchen and will supplement my Double Drawer Fisher Paykel dishwasher. I'd like to use if for all of my daily dishes. And I plan to baby it, and give it an extra cleaning probably once a week to keep it in mint condition.
And I thought I was the only dishwasher geek in America....nice to know I've got my fellow dishgeeks!
