you can get a virus on your windows partition but it wont effect your Mac OSX. You just have to be careful like using any windows operating system but you can be assured your Mac OSX will be fine.

I'v ran windows XP through Bootcamp on my macbook and downloaded Steam then downloaded the demo through it.
