- I know the Nexus simply makes the Ipod look like some kind of toy (tech-wise), cause the specs are way better. But don't underestimate the whole IPhone hype. Apple has a firm grip on the market and has therefore been able to develop a *load of supporting systems and services. Nexus has yet to prove an equal amount of connectivity.

I love my Nexus One, only problem is the APPs. I usually have various games I can choose on my iPhone to play, but the N1 has a limit of good games. Hopefully Android will release more games or provide Flash Player 10.1 (Waiting FOREVER).

Google said they need to implement electronic signature on the apps before they enable saving them on the SD - it will come in an OTA update at some point (hopefully soon...).

And when it does... the phone will virtually have unlimited app space by switching SDs.

Actually if you buy it unlocked it still only works to it's full potential on T-Mobile. If you put it on AT&T it doesn't work with their 3G network.

So either get it for a discount with T-Mobile, or pay a lot more and get a crippled, slow version on AT&T.

I can't wait for the CDMA version so it can be used with Sprint's awesome Everything Data plan with any mobile any time. That's something to wait for.

Love my Nexus. Best phone I have EVER had. And at $600, it was worth it. (I purchased it in the middle of my contract so no discounts)

Also - the apps that you can download are great. And free.

I have the star gazing app they show here and it is pretty cool. There are also some very cool GPS/map apps. My kids and I walked around the neighborhood last weekend and tracked "ghosts" and took pictures of them via the GPS on the phone. Also played a dodge zombie game via GPS. COOL!

So far I am loving my Nexus One. The only downside I have found is that when I used it at work and it fell from a very very short distance it basically blew to pieces. I managed to get it back together as it was only the top end that blew open. The only actual damage it has is a slight dent in the top left corner which is minor while the phone functions perfect.

As renton stated you feel as though you have to pamper it. The power of the phone makes you love it over other droids though.

Glass no and battery case did come off but I may have went over board on explanation but insides were busted open as well not just the case falling off. The whole top part that you can see when you remove the case was popped out and power button flew and a bit more. I managed to fix it though. Nothing major to cause functionality damage or screen dmg since it was in the sleeve when it hit the corner on the floor.

The screen is a really flimsy piece of glass... unfortunately, mine broke on the 35th day of use. Spider web style fracture. All from sliding off a coffee table while charging. HTC does not stand by the product and wants $240 to repair the glass. I would caution anyone thinking of buying these. They are cool, but absolutely not reliable for the rigors of everyday use. You have to constantly pamper it.

Mmm... bought the phone outright... so my plan is to just reverse the charges on my credit card... They are really good about disputing charges for merchandise when the quality does not meet your expectations. I would like to stay on Nexus One, but HTC is just sticking to their guns and refusing to work with me.

i called t-mobile to find out about this. they say that my current handset insurance (for my g1) will "automatically" convert over to the nexus one when i get mine.  they said they can recognize what phone is being used on their network when you make a call. if that is true you would end up having to pay the deductible ($150 +/-) but better than being completely stuck?

quick clarification: t-mobile does not offer the EXTENDED WARRANTY on the N1 (since they don't even sell it) but they do offer the INSURANCE for the unit (lost / stolen / damaged) no matter how you get it (with the t-mobile contract discount or full price - both are directly purchased from google)

The insurance coverage has to be set up directly through their insurance contractor (assurion). Assurion confirmed that they do cover the N1.
