  • finally..ppl who know their stuff on katanas..

  • ouu there it is this shiting dog:]

  • you guys are pretty funny. I like how you caught the water jugs completely by surprise. I'm certain they didn't even know you were there.

  • wtf is the firt guy doing he cuts like an complete retart the 2nd one is not bad

    peace from holland

  • Thx for the vid!

  • really cool weapons. but you lack training. you dont need to swing the weapon above your head before the slash. that is used for bastard sword, which is not as sharp as a katana. you just need to put up some muscle power, then swing it from your left side to right. that should be enough to kiil that water containing bastards =D

and just out of curiousity. how much did you pay for those katanas?

  • Yeah, just remember, don't swing it with your hand. Swing it with your BODY

  • You sir, are an idiot. A bastard sword can easily be as sharp or sharper than a katana. Just because one is a different type of sword than the other doesn't mean one is sharper.

  • bastard swords are not sharpened as a katana, so the wielder can grip from the bladed side in critical situations.

you sir, are an idiot. I had lessons for using bastard sword for 2 years and I can easily say, a bastard sword not as sharp as a katana gives you flexibility. and u use the momentum of the sword when slashing.

second guy really knows how to use the sword btw

  • thank you and back in the day i took some basics on bastard swords through a ren fair guild or whatever they were and it tought me quite a bit and to be honest both are very good styles but it really depends on the wielder of the weapon

  • As much as I've gathered, at least one of his swords he made himself, which I find really impressive.

  • Nice bro we definately have to spar.

  • does he really have to twirl the blade like an idiot after every swing?

  • The twirl at the end of every cut is to fling blood, or in this case water, off the blade.

  • little kids with no training should play with pointy things!

  • at least i dont play with lil kids like you do...

  • Sorry for the typo. it should read

little kids with no training *shouldn't play with pointy things!

come on now. you cant make faceless accusations, its just not fair to the people making accusations that have at least a little merit!

  • i would take your own advice but telling from your last comment you wouldn't know how..

  • @icyberia "No Training" dude you have to be joking!! I can tell this guy has plenty of training just by watching this vid...I think you r the one making "faceless accusations" You are a fool and all you're videos SUCK...But for real, watch my video called MARTIAL ART WEAPONS SHARP AND BLINDFOLDED it is pretty sweet but I'm sure you will rip on that too...

  • @martialartistManuel Ok, so maybe assuming "no training" was a little presumptuous, but obviously the first guy had very little if any training.

"You are a fool and all you're videos SUCK..." This coming from a guy who displays videos of himself playing with a sword in his house and throwing and catching it, followed by lots of spinning. So let me ask you this, What kind of training have you had that you can judge the level of training of the people in this video?

    ps shameless plug not needed

  • @icyberia Thanks for the hit buddy!

  • @icyberia hiroshi, its not worth wasting your breath on people who dont understand anything about the sword or the history behind it. Granted, I dont have ANY formal training in sword arts, but I know the basics and the basics is what anyone should know BEFORE they start cutting. the flashy swings and turns you guys did, proves you dont have any training in anything that deals with the katana.

  • hy guys.nice vid. can you tell me what kind of Hanwei katana did u use?i'm planing to buy one,but havent decided yet.tnx

  • It says both in the descripti0on and in the video.

  • Dude in the black has some pretty good skill, great vid guys.

  • I like the dog best :O

  • You guys are total tools! HAHAHAH You are the biggest ninjas in the world in your sweater and baggy pants. OMG...I laughed soo fu@king hard at this video. I had to show the wife...she laughed too. She said you guys will never get any booty ever. I mean Jesus guys get a clue and grow up.

  • your just fucking cute arent you and why would your wife get booty? does she like using strap ons to tease you? i bet you get a wet butt from her fucking you every week... always enjoy the comments

  • I had a thought that you were trailer trash and you proved it for me. Just reading your comment back to me was well worth me leaving the comment in the first place. tell your boyfriend in the video to give you an extra kiss goodnight tonight from me. Ninja....lol

  • Where in this video or description does anyone claim to be a ninja?

Regardless of what they are wearing, they have a decent grasp of sword technique for tameshigiri, including o-chiburi. I guess some people just don't get it.

  • No...there is no claim in the decription for them to be ninjas, I said they were the coolest ninjas on their block. I mean come on look at his boyfriend he has to be like a yellow belt of the deadly ninja art.lol I laugh everytime I see these kinds of videos. Always the same thing...kids about 23yrs old in jeans and a sweater showing off cutting water bottles.HAHAHA. Its like they have no dignity.

  • Oh well, I guess it could be worse. At least they aren't into something as lame as women's roller derby

    ;-)

  • very nice, ur frekaing awesome!!! that cut where u did the 3 bottles and cut them all to the same hight takes skills!!! im thinking of getting a sword and i rly hope that i can become half of wat u guys r!

  • Oh, and btw, what is the measurement of the katana ur friend uses in the begeining of the vid? It looks alot bigger than a normal katana.

  • oh uhh i think its got a 29.5 blade 11 inch tsuka

  • excellent

i hope you all keep studying

    nice

  • Disrespectful and disgusting. Get yourself some real KORYU training before you hurt youself. What pro or even someone who studies a School of swordsman ship puts the saya in the belt loop? Its really disrespectful. And you guys really just need to be careful. Stop playing samurai. Stop watching videos on youtube of Kenjutsu and Martial arts and think that you know what your doing. These cheap musashi swords are crap. Get some real training.

  • You know im not entirely sure if your a martial artist yourself! You should have respect for those who wish to study it and enjoy doing something such as this. Sure me or my buddy might not be up to your standards and dont wear hakama but dude have a hot cup of Shut The Fuck Up!

  • Ya dude for real, dont be an asshole just cas you think think you know something. Like Masahiro siad, how do we even kno ur a martialartist urself? Give me the name of your dojo and master.

  • dude u need to chill the fuck out disrespectful mi ass nothing is worse than sticking that fat ass nose of urs into wat ppl do in their spare time u cock sucker

  • Insulting other's in that way is more disrespecful than everything you just said.

If you really are a "Koryu" pro, then you know much better than to do that.

I have never even swung a real sword and I know how to be disciplined enough to refrain from that kind of talking.

    Should I go on?

  • @kujikuri Answer this one question:

Why is putting a saya through a belt loop disrespectful? Can you answer that?

Tradition has nothing to do with it. It's just you being a fucking elitist douchebag. Who's to say if bushido had survived into the 21st century that modern samurai wouldn't carry their swords on their belt loops?

Will the flow of stupid katana nerds on youtube ever end? Every motherfucker commenting is the prodigy disciple of a samurai grandmaster apparently.

  • did the poison ivy blade come sharpened?

  • ignore that ass hole dude u and ur friend did a good job especially u on that last hit =]

  • what would you recommend to sharpen the poison ivy Katana?

  • whetstone

  • uhh i would recomend a 700+ grit whetstone or even a 1000 grit but the hamon is sandblasted so expect it to fade or disipate

  • ya but it does deprnd if the sword has no edge or sort of an edge, if it hs sort of an edge use like an 1000 grain whetstone. but if the edge is completely dull use like below a 700 grain whetstone.

  • yeah a 400 grit is close to a hanwei polish for edge so that able to sharpen and somewhat polish the blade even. But yeah you have to start out low and work your way up. All swords should be at a 250+ grit though before tempering though otherwise the blade might break in quenching. so technically the blade cannot be under 300 grit so use a 400 to sharpen and then try to see what grit for polish basically

  • ill go out on a limb and say you guys are self taught? but have to say some of your cuts are quit impressive. good work guys keep practicing your skills.

  • OMG Its the Goth Ninja AAAAA

    jk lol

  • will that dull your blade?

  • I dont believe jugs do but cardboard definitely will and bad tatami mat as well so certain jugs are just about the safest thing to cut with any sword but not the best test reference for blade sharpness or durability

  • lol i was saiting for an upward cut and it FINALY happend

  • nice 6 cut

  • too bad all the cuts didn't land though... should have been able to lol

  • I never noticed how good your iaijutsu was. :D

  • uhh actually im kinda rusty and should start practicing again... already have though nvm lol

  • I practice everyday. :D

Haha, I can beat YOU now! OK, maybe not, but still!

  • >_>...actually it woulld depend on how well your form looks when your trying lol

  • I am not experienced too much in that field. Kata is not my thing. Not really, I mean, I practice, but my techniques are mostly based around cutting.

  • well as a beginner thats all you need to practice for now ^_^

  • The only reason I am at the level I am, is because of the fact that there isn't a dojo near me.

However, I have been practicing, and I can clearly tell that I am cutting correctly 4 different ways, stance and all. Down left, to up right. Horizontal left, diagonal right, and diagonal left. So I am getting better! Just need to get more info.

  • hmm i can help with that =)

  • Heh, yep. :D

I just keep practicing! It is in my blood! Lol. I am trying to cut swiftly, in order to be able to cut tatami, the practice goes well. I am happy about that, w00! Lol.

  • It's clear, that guys onthe movie have not any practice experience in tameshigiri. The cutting they presented are based rather on imagination and japaneese samurai films.

  • lol i guess that shows what you know right? what style do i do fool? let me guess... i dont take one right??? XD my friend with blonde has no training but i do have some...

  • Yes, I agree. Please remember anyway about right position jodan kamae before kesa-giri and mayoko-giri. Your start position is absolutely unproper. For such cuttings the base should be jodan kamae, step ahaed and kesa (obliquely) or mayoko (horizontal).

Remember about dog which was near you. It's dangerous. The sword is a not toy - was sharp!

    Best regards

  • *<||:{D~

  • Hey smart ass!

    ITS MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

    O_-

    -_O

Ima saying that Zach is a sexy beast!!!!

    AHAHAHAHA!!!!!

    ^_^

    Good job manly hoe!

    BYE!

  • hows it feel to shave wood?

that tree behind u iz an EX-ale_aunt opponent

    =P

slice chop and hack... and chop and.... try harder.... make the tree wiggle

20 serious show me what u know HooaH?

  • o_O? oro?

  • woo hoo my turn next gotta show off the sword you made me lol

  • not really good. you should get instruction or stick with bokkens before using a shinken.

  • ok dont want to say what was so bad about it? advice helps not judging :D

  • Nice, make me think of getting a musashi poison ivy

  • lol

    that was cool

try using less strength in your cuts, it works like a charm!

  • O_o which one? lol me or blondie?

  • both of you, i think it was his first time, according to his comment, so i can see why he would use strength if he didnt understand properly, but i think if you tried it in a dojo, it would work wonders with your stance and cutting results!

i say this with all due respect, and im not trying to be an arse and be mean, im just putting forward some handy tips!

    great vid!

  • well it may look like i use "a lot" of strength but im not dude... im just striking precisely and with speed... there are other differences of strength

  • That was a fun video masahiro, let's do this again sometime, lol.

  • wow one of the coolest tameshigiri vids i've seen. i think it might be the commentary. lol everyone i nthe other vids takes it way too serious... not thta it isn;'t or anything :S lol hi5

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! THAT'S ME IN THE GREEN! not bad for first time, eh? u make me look bad lmao ^_^

  • you did well seeing as it was your first time, i thought you had done it for a while!

  • You did well for your first time man :D That being your first time is actually pretty outstanding.

  • i gave him some basic training before hand and it helped but hes also a black belt in the karate/martial arts society

  • Yeah, katanas are shrouded in 1000 years of tradition, but no one said that they couldn't be fun, lol.

  • seriously :D

  • I am right then :D

  • OF COURSE!! XD

  • Yeah I know, just messing with ya :)
