I own several high-end Taylors, including 2 Brazilians and can attest to the fact that my Presentation Brazilian sounds the best. I mean I had no idea that a guitar could sound that good. Amazing......I don't know what else to say. It is just light-years above my others. It's all subjective though, but, you know what they say-you get what you pay for. Maybe it does not always apply, but, when it comes to my collection, it sure does.......Thx
You are very kind, thank you. I checked your Guild demo and was very impresssed to hear that kind of sound from such a slim body. I have a Guild myself, great sound but the balance on mine is a bit top heavy for my taste. Maybe the heasdstock or the machine heads....
Great!!! I have the same question with my friend above.. Is it a guitar that worth this cost? I know that is superb but i am thinking about the cost. I ask this because i am thinking to buy one of these. I already own some very rare Guild Guitars. Best regards from Greece
You know about the law of diminishing returns. It applies here, too. Customizing options are expensive, and you end up also paying for the exclusivity of owning a rare guitar. That being said, I did not buy this guitar because I wanted to own a brazilian rosewood Taylor, but because i loved it when I tried it at the store. For me, it is important that a guitar is played, not just put in a showcase. I've had this for two years and it still feels good everytime a pick it up.
Can you tell us more about this guitar? anything about it. Why it's cost that much? is it worth to spend that much to get this guitar? I know it sounds very good there, but beside sounding goods, what else do you like about it? Please, share. Thanks
Linus, the body is Brazilian rosewood, which is very rare and considered by many to be the best tonewood ever for acoustic guitars. Taylor offer this tonewood for their presentation series guitars as an upgrade. You can check their website for more info. I just fell in love with it at the store. What struck me the most is the dynamic range. In essence, the louder you play the better it sounds. It also has some beautiful abalone inlays, but of course, the amount of "bling" is a matter of taste.
It's hard to justify until you play it. A friend of mine, an excellent guitarist, has chronic tendinitis in his wrists and only plays solid body guitars these days. That is until he tried this Taylor. He loves it and I get to jam with him in return ;)
You ask us to be gentle and then you go and be so darn cruel by not posting the entire song!!!! I was really getting into the groove and then it was over!!!! Shame on you for being such a tease!!!! Excellent cover of to small of a portion!!!!
Your very enthusiastic rendition of this David Bowie favorite is nothing short of PHENOMENAL. With crisp,on the mark vocalizations and top shelf guitar instrumentation, you have meticulously assembled a showcase with deep meaning, feeling and high entertainment value for we the viewers. Sincerest thanks and kudos for this musical tour de force of a performance!
