What a great Presient. He is the greatest legislator in this nation's history. For example, he was able to sign 200 bills during a window of I believe 2 years or so. It was I believe from a span of 1964 through 1966
before the Vietnam conflict grew and the Republicans gained back the Congress from '66 through the end of his Presidency.Thank You for posting this interesting and remarkable moment."Lincoln made them free;Johnson made them equal."
Isn't it eerie how the man behind the assassinations of both Dr. King and Bobby Kennedy is right there in the same room with them, just across the table from them? Chilling...
cant fight communism with ppl being miss treated in your own country this is for Show for the world. MLK kept pushing after this that when LBJ said this soth baptist nigger is going to far and JEH had the FBI kill him.
@TheFrogger15 I don't understand how that's embarrassing. Also, you have to remember that they (President Johnson and Robert Kennedy) hated one another. I guess they just can't hide it.
@Suprkit Well, you are correct they did hate each other but RFK worked hard to see that his bill would be passed just as LBJ did. Instead of handing RFK a pen and saying good job, LBJ just started handing him pens and told him to give them to members of the Justice Dept. I thought that was a cold slap in the face.
here ismy impersonation of j edgar hoover in the 1950's: "i wanted to be an actor. well, sometimes it's not what you know it's who you know". i wonder if that really means he doesn't mind being a liar, because he is just exercising his "acting skills".

You left out the part where he grudgingly gives RFK a pen. The look Bobby gave him was priceless.

He gave Robert Kennedy SIX pens.
Just a little fact.

@Suprkit LBJ gave RFK six pens to embarass him. You see he also gives that racist J. Edjar Hoover a pen & told him he deserved it.
