I found a great tool for applying makeup and plucking eyebrows and it's very inexpensive...$10.00 It's good for us ladies over 40 that have trouble seeing up close in a mirror. It's actually a reading glass lens that suctions to any mirror. It's not distorted like a magnifying mirror and it's small and easy to travel with. That's when I have used it the most. Oh it's called the see clearly lens.
Your vids are so helpfull! Anyhow, I never use a bronzer like ever. I have a very pale skin which is also very dry, and I dont really know which bronzer I should use, and if it should do any good effect on me. I could get a expesive one, but that would be useless..
Oh my god, if they test on animal's, don't buy it, it's not that hard to understand. Emily was letting you know her favorite product's. And not all High end make-up doesn't test on animals. Or is cruelty free.
im only 12 year old, but im thinking of buying light, light covereg and dewy finish giving foundation. i am really intrested about the Maybelline Pure Mineral liquid foundation. does it give a glowy finish, and is it too thick and heavy for 12 year old? i was also thinking a tinted moisturizer but could i buy the Maybelline foundation?
thanks for this video!! i really like the fact that you are telling us about other make up products instead of mac or other high ends !! thank you for sharing <3
i have a question umm if i wanted the pressed powder does it matter if i get it like in a tanish color like instead of a pressed powder i get i mean a brownser!? does it even matter!? =] i really hope you answer bak!
It is better if you have a pressed powder AND a bronzer really, as a pressed powder can set your foundation/concealer. But if you can only get hold of a tan bronzed colour, it should be okay as long as its not too dark Hope this helped you! xoxo
the thing I really love about your vids is that you always try to make it available for everyone, like seeking cheap alternatives and doing fave drugstore videos. thanks!
Does anyone ever find that SPF gives off a really bright glare on your skin in pictures? How do you get around that? Sunscreen is a must have, but so are pictures, and I look super pale in them...
I just found you on youtube. I am addicted to MU tutorials. As a makeup artist and makeup junkie this is how I learn everyday. I love how you suggest affordable products. I use a lot of MAC and Nars but I also buy drugstore brands. Hey, whichever works right. Keep it up.
Thanks for all the great information. I have only really used powder in the past. I use MACs studio fix, but it's interesting how much more is out there.
My question is with all those different types of products used together, does it feel heavy on your skin? Sorry if it's a silly question. Thanks!
It might. To be honest I really don't believe EVERYONE needs makeup. If you have good skin then don't wear foundation. Or if you don't need concealer then don't wear it. You know what i mean? I think it's the less the better.
omg..i loooove the neutrogena tinted moisturizer!!ive used it for years.... but its been discontinued! :( i think anyway...i run out of it and..ive been searching for it every where!! no one carries it anymore... sooo sad
first of all i must say i love your vids because you always give cheap alternatives (because not all of us can afford mac, but we all want to look great) in fact i became addicted (in a good way) to ur vids :)...and i love them also because you reccomend products that can be found in europe not only in us(revlon, rimmel, maybelline, loreal, neutrogena)
my problem is the dark circles around my eyes...pls can you help me with that and give me some suggestions
Hi! Thank you so much! My first tip for undereye circles is to use a yellow toned concealer and make sure you set it with powder that's a slightly lighter shade than you'd use all over your face. For more tips- check my Concealer 101 video! :D
You rock, Emily! I love how you give affordable options for the high end recommendations. I agree, everyone needs a lw foundation! Revlon Colorstay is absolutely my favorite to this day! I wish I could find my color in the Lasting Finish..:-( The lightest shade is just too dark! Again, awesome picks!! I love seeing these older videos because you can totally see how you've evolved. Thanks so much for sharing your life with the world! ::muah!::
hey do you have any other suggestions with concealers? they dont have my skin tone colour in the maybelline one. thanks so much i love your videos your awesome
Other ones I like are ELF's all over cover stick, or Max Factor Pan Stick. If you want to use a mineral powder- I recommend Bare Minerals Bisque, or Everyday Minerals Sunlight :)
have you gotten away from the wet and wild bronzer? Do you like the drug store mineral bronzer in better than warmth? what do you think the differences are between the drugstore and bare essentials?
I still use Wet & Wild- I think Warmth is nice if you aren't looking for any shimmer. Overall, I think bare escentuals makeup is probably made with better ingredients- but I fee like Maybelline mineral power gives more coverage
ya know I bought last nite that monistat chaffing gel and it works great. I couldnt believe it I have worn foundation all my life and always had oiliness and just didnt look good after a few hrs and today my face was good. 5.50 from walmart I cant believe ppl spend 35 on smashbox! If you want minerals and vitamins use a moisturizer that has them. You should try it or tell ppl about it for those who want to use some.
try the monistat chaffing gel its not a yeast infection stuff its just the brand name but everyone on here talks about it I bought it and used it today and its great! 5.50 at walmart check it out.
Hi! I'm wearing Revlon Colorstay lipcolor- I believe the shade is Fabulous Fig. I'm not absolutely positive what gloss i have on over it, but any kind of a sheer pinky/nude would give you that look! :)
i'm interested on buying the neutrogena sheer tint that u hav here...i just wana know if it does cover some redness or imperfections?...coz i was looking on some tinted moisturizer for summer coz i dont want 2 wear thick foundations...so do u think its a great coverage?...
It's extremely sheer- it may have a small effect on correcting redness, but probably won't do much for masking imperfections. If you want more coverage with a light liquid foundation, I recommend Maybelline's mineral power liquid :)
Also, i was watching another video of yours and i wanted to say thanks because you helped me decide my new foundation (revlon colorstay light active liquid), powder (revlon colorstay pressed), and concealer (MAX factor pan stick) :)
I would recommend it- I only have the samples right now, but I'll probably buy some full sized items soon. However I think the Maybelline stuff is comparable
thank you so much for this, i like makeup and am alright but i'm fairly new and was very lost in face makeup. I plan on trying the rimmel foundation :) also, do you have any suggestions with the brand MAX Factor ? thanks again <3
I've always thought their 2000 Calorie Mascara was really good- it doesn't smudge on me at all! I've also used their Pan-Stik foundation which makes a nice creamy concealer for under-eyes.

bronzer is only for the cheeks, not for the whole face.
pressed powder sets your foundation :)
jellyjellyjellyx47 2 years ago
some people do put matte bronzer lightly all over their face for a more tanned or 'glowy' look in the summer actually...
dramatification 2 years ago
they don't put it ALL over their face, just where the sun hits.
i was just helping MARGARITA444 out because it sounds like she's new to makeup and i didn't want her to be confused
