i worked at a gas station for a year or so and ppl rly do try and pull stupid ass shit like this. WE ARE NOT STUPID! the cashier is going to see what pump you came from and put the money on the right pump. i had countless numbers of customers not even both er looking at what pump they were on and just say "20 on the white civic" or sumthin like that. also, we keep an eye out for ppl who sit at the pumps for too long or if you lok shady, we will call the cops. so dont try this shit.
