  • @Cacophanus Did you record this on your PS2? Or did you use PC recording software and use an emulator to play the game?

  • @lennyrules23 Recorded on my PS2 via a capture card.

  • You can never get enough of the karasawa

  • I now have a name for my unborn child, and that name is NINEBALL. Seriously, I haven't heard a name that rugged and manly since I first met my buddy Thundercock "Bear-Kicker" Armstrong.

  • heh, I want this game simply for him. XD

  • This was one of the hardest missions in armored core ever, but the original Nine-Ball Seraph was a hundred times harder to beat.

  • @00shadowLord costed me 2 weeks to beat this mission with a heavyweight robot. it's not hard just for you. the gameplay doesn't help though...

  • Nineball

Giving Ravens nightmares since 1997. :)

  • cacophanus please have better vid quality

  • @FrozzenFlamess The video is 5 years old!

  • and after breaking Nineball Seraph- you may offically call your self a Ninebreaker!

  • damn dude youre a great pilot

  • :53, where he go?..

    :54 OH SHIT!

  • @Palkia571 Use Grenade Launcher arms with the extra ammo 50 percent increse back unit (Or something like that) and just hit him 7-8 times and watch what happens :D Just make sure u get a good ark or the best time to hit him is when he is using a blade wave.

  • My typical experience playing an Armored Core game "Oh my god, this game is so much fun!" Hours later "OH MY GOD, THIS GAME IS SO FUCKING FRUSTRATING!!!" Later... "Trying to create the perfect AC is so cool!" Hours later "TRYING TO CREATE THE PERFECT AC IS FUCKING FUCKED UP!!!" Later... "The controls in this game are so great!" later.... "THE CONTROLS SUCK!!! WHY CAN'T I JUST LOCK ON TO ANYTHING LIKE IN ZOE!!!" And that about sums it up. It's the game you hate to love.
  • imo i think they should have made this generation of armored core longer, i loved it

  • what do you unlock after beating Nineball Seraph

  • @MsPs2master a very, VERY fast floating leg part, movement ability about 700 or something, (not sure,) and an inside orbit cannon ( dispenses right above you when used)

  • He was one of the hardest AC ever to beat in his final form.

One thing is, in armored core 2 AA, our laser blades don't have that motion trail effect you see on Nine Ball, Stinger, and Nine Ball Seraph until now you see it in Armored Core 3 and up for PS2 versions. to me its cool to see that. plus I've played all armored core series since 1997. im a 14 year veteran Raven/Lynx.

  • why is your energy so high all the time aaaaaaaaaugh. You must have been heavily doped up on them fancy optional part doodads.

I couldn't beat him without using missile spam on an ultralight chassis. Felt good too because my last 4 missiles on the arms finished him off.

  • @IRUKANJI it has to do with the best generator and as you may have seen the wight limit was over the limit cuz of a cheat that i personally used everything else ha sto do with how you contol the ac

  • is the replay in the verses mode better than armored core 2? as in it can show both mechs from a camera point of view like in the arena mode?!

  • I actually didn't know what Seraph meant until I looked it up...

...pretty fitting if you ask me.

  • Hey, Vegeta, what does the scouter say about Cacophanus's AP at 0:20 ?

    Vegeta: IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAND!

  • @Zetsumi199091 hahahah i get ,i watched the episode

  • @1WickedJester No it isn't, the official name (as verified by From Software) is actually Nineball Seraph. Even model kits have been released to confirm this

  • @1WickedJester /watch?v=iqX5eiEWOy0

  • blah, well you guys probably already know this, sorry for the story in the comments below mine, i like to start conversations at some point :p

  • @zexion1000 The old parts are legacy parts damn it. it was meant to be there so that you can make every cover AC from the first to LR..LOL made up stories...

  • @TheHitmaker190 never said its an actual story. lol just a little fan made theory maybe :p

  • now in the mars arena, ever noticed that your operator told you "It seems to be an OLDER model." which would mean Ac 2 another age is the future of last raven, [imo]

and Nineball in the mars arena was just there on a rampage since i beileve the Nineball model still has somewhat an anger spirit of hustler one, taking down High ranked ravens, after his defeat in the mars arena, the government collected samples of that mech and remade him into nineball seraph, once again, out of control.

  • so ever hear of Nineballs story this way?

In armored core 3 SL he was known as hustler one. first time hearing the name pop out with nineball as the ac name.

in his defeat in the arena in Silent line, which you were suppose to defeat him.

Came back for a rematch in Ninebreaker. advancing his mech just so that he could beat you. in armored core last raven you'll notice the old parts you could use for nineball from armored core two another age. [Nineball from the mars arena] :-Next comment-:

  • @zexion1000 WTF are you talking about??? theres no Hustler One in AC:SL!

  • @TheHitmaker190 dam the comment is 7 months old [then again yours is one month old] figured now that i read up the actual Armored core Wiki, and never played silent line, but told that hustler one was in the arena but. yeah, [i got fooled and corrected with the truth]

  • Psh armoed core 4 >_> no where near as hard as ac 2 an 1

  • Zeta Gundam anyone?

  • Doesn't look as bad as the Nineball Seraph from Master of the Arena.

  • I always knew Cirno was the strongest.

  • easiest boss ever

  • @senoke79 yeah sure

  • It's the strongest!

  • @jettythesunfish i agree

  • my most importan parts were 2 of the big shoulder missiles (the ones that deal 6000 damage) a hovering legs with lots of mobility, optional part for better turning (the better turning really shows).

Basically I stayed on the central circle and waited him to go down then start to strafe around him, launching missiles from kinda close to him)

6/5 missiles and he was done for (hardest part is having him in sight when hes about to land)

  • have you guys ever read the mission assignments of this?

they said one faced "comparable targets"before. They all lied this guy is uncomparable

  • Someone needs to show a video walkthrough of "Eliminate the Search Team" from this game. I'm having too much trouble with it!

  • @Tetherwing if you want to win don`t care about the two Ac´s just kill all MT`s

  • @Tetherwing put on karasawa, get a medium AP with great mobility/jump ability and great energy regen.

after you open the door kill as many machines as possible before the ACs spawn after you've killed everything around the first corner(from where you entered all the way to where the AC's enter), more machines will spawn where you entered. here's where you wanna go into limiter release and go fucking ape shit on any remaining MTs the AC's won't be able to keep up with you in limiter release OB.

  • The legendary Nine-Ball... God, I hated fighting this guy!

  • *pfft.. i beat him on my first try* yeah right. i hate fags that come off like that

  • This mission only took me a couple tries and this was back when I thought a huge AC with a lot of firepower and huge amounts of armor was the answer to everything... the only mission that took me a few days to beat was the one where you were against 3 AC's in the deserted city... only problem with Nineball Seraph was that he moved to freakin' much... but then he got faceraped and my friends hated me for beating it before them

  • how did you manage to hop around like that?

  • The tougher way to beat him is in a tank. I did that once for a challenge. Missiles, Karasawa, Grenade Arms, or Bazooka Arms are recommended for your first time fighting him though.

  • Erm... is it normal/ok for me to beat it the first time around w/o overpowered weapons, PLUS file or over weight AC? x3 *happy dance*

  • Im going to be honest, when i first bought AC2AA i didn't know what i was getting myself into, i built AC for looks not performance and i remember being "fired" as a raven, bought AC3 same thing. About 3 years ago i played AC3 again to give it a dying chance LOVED IT. too bad SL, Nexus and 9ball never got published in my country (every copy of every AC game is rare here). Now im playing AC2AA again and thinking how the fuck im supposed to beat this guy w/o a PLUS file :3

  • @Equirah

Ooooo, you did the biggest no-no to the whole series when you 1st started playing. Well, at least you learned, and now you're loving the series. Cannot wait for AC5!

  • is not armored core 2 is armoredcore 1 ,I want armoredcore silent line 2 fuck

  • This was such an epic fight. Ahhh... memories. Good times.

  • I've been able to beat ninball seraph once

    I've never been able to get it again D;

  • the first ones were by far the hardest of the AC series

  • I beat him with a light-type AC equipped with that laser rifle that person (Cacophanus) is using. It took me more than 80 tries to beat this fiend!

  • Target verified.

    COMMENCING FACERAPE!

  • May I ask what parts you used for the fight please?

  • holy shit that thing can transform OO

  • This enemy was SSSSOOOOOO much harder on the PSX title "Master of Arena." The room was big and dark so that it was hard to see him and he'd transform into flight mode which made him faster in a larger area AND IF THAT WASN'T DAMNING ENOUGH there were no extensions in MOA so if he got behind you (and he did) you had to turn tu face him manualy, by which time he was already going back into flight mode and disapearing in the black.

  • Shadowclaw2:Nineball sounds very dangerous when he says

    "Target verified. commensing hosilities"...

But that sounds way different in the japanese....no simularities of emotion...

  • Shadowclaw2:Nineball Seraph Transforms like a Transformer...

  • My all time favorites were armored core 3 and Silent line.

I beat the rest though.. another age, 2, nine breaker, last raven, nexus etc...

  • Graphics whore, huh?

  • @Xeophian

Armored Core for Answer is shit, it's not even Armored Core.

And after playing this game, AC3 was a pushover (but a good game nevertheless).

  • You're darn right it is, lol

  • I dunno, while it technically is, the advancement of technology between AC1/PP/MoA and 2/AA is more than strange, I know this is down to the PS2's power and all, but they go back to before Phobos and what not with AC3/SL/NXS/LR/NB and still, thats even more advanced it seems, and even further in to the past with 4/FA. It's very odd, at first I put it down to the Great Destruction BS setting certain regions of the globe back technologically or something, but now I put it down to lazy storytelling

  • you should pay closer attention to the stories in AC3 to LR. In AC1 there was just a great war people go under ground and corporations gain power. In PP its about the Human Plus and the Phantasma projects. MoA is about taking revenge on 9 Ball (Hustler One). AC2 deals with someone trying to bring back the projects from PP and MoA. AC2AA is the aftermath. AC3 is another war that made people go underground but this time an AI know as the CONTROLLER is in control of everything that happens there.

  • Also in AC3 the CONTROLLER tries to kill the surviving humans of the war toward the end. People escape the CONTROLLER to the surface and realize that the surface is no longer destroyed, that's it is now full of life. SL is the corporations gain control and send out teams to explore the surface. One part of the surface is unexplorable anything that goes in doesn't ever leave and you are the Raven sent to fined out what the shit is going on. Only to fined out that the CONTROLLER is operational.

  • NXS War of the corporations brakes out because some resource that a new corporation Discovers. Nothing ells is known about the resource they don't even know if it is actuality a resource or is it a lost project, I think it's Phantasma Project. The corporations fuck up unleash suicide weapons and destroy a city and shit is silent, they stop fighting. During this time AC pilots are training trying to be the best of the best. The whole thing is staged by an "unknown". The Unknown is either Jack-0

  • or Hustler One (the A.I version that you fight in the end of ACAA), no one knows. In the last mission is kill 9 Ball. Finally LR some bullshit war is starting between Jack-O and the corporations. Who gives a shit you just end up fighting machines called Pulverizers. (I am shore I fought them before maybe in AC2 the final mission, the very last AC you fight). They resemble the Phantasma Project. The Pulverizer ending is the one that acquires in the series. You are the last Raven.

  • I could never be bothered to pay that much attention to the stories, they are pretty half-hearted, but then they don't need to be that in depth. I know they weren't, but I treated them all as independant stories, not linked in any real way, like Star Wars novels, on the verge of canon and non-canon. I suppose that does describe in part the strange technological advancements. Also, if mechs were underground and never allowed to leave in AC3, how comes you got mission contracts to the outside?!

  • Like the massive MT and many other locations, that had atmospheres and weathers above them.

  • It was all underground. It was all synthetic. You make ask "then how big was facility?" I have no clue. Its like that in all armored cores. In some levels you jumped in to deep fucking holes. Imagine digging a hole that's as deep as 7 or 8 twin towers on top of each other and as wide as 5 NYCs combined. That's a lot of space to fuck with so they could do what they wanted, like make parts of the facility to seem like the outside world.

  • It wasn't just the mechs that were not aloud to leave, no one was aloud to leave, the CONTROLLER prevented that. In one of the briefings they tell you that everything is synthetic but not a lot of people read the briefings. Most of the story is told through BRIEFINGS. In NXS through LR they added in NEWS, and EMAILs. People don't expect that, skip briefings, don't read emails or the news, then they say the story was shit cause they weren't handed the story on a silver plate.

  • You can't possibly be suggesting everywhere you went in those games was underground, it would be pointless for them to go to the trouble of making everywhere seem outdoors on such a massive scale. Like there were missions when you could see clouds, stars and the moon, that was all a projection or something onto the ceiling of a cavern? Bullshit. That's far fetched.

  • In AC3 that's how shit is. You may not like it, but its a game dude. In some games 1+1 is atom bomb. I will say this again everything in AC3 was synthetic. It was part of the story. Don't like it too fucking bad cause I didn't make the game so you can't come complain to me about it. lol. In other AC games you were sometimes under ground not all the time.

  • I will also say this AC4 sucks dick. Its not like the older ones. same goes for the other new ones, but the multiplayer is good.... sort of.

  • You're massively defensive over an incredibly average storyline.

  • DUDE ur totaly right. idk why other people that would own this game (such as you and I) wouldnt read the Briefings. The game series is great. just some games were never that good. I pretty much have all the Games for the PS2 Version. (AC2 AC2AA AC3 AC3Sl ACLR I don thave Nexus or 9B) but i really prefer AC 2 and AC2AA. in the game as you play the last missions we are the Last Raven.

  • @TheNexTechnoViking

In Japan the story supposedly goes as so:

Chromehounds is the first in the AC series followed by AC4 & 4A (sometimes after the Great Destruction occurs) then

AC1 (the Justice satellite destroyed in Ac1 was a leftover of the AC4 era),PP,MoA, (67 years go by) then

AC2 (on partially terraformed Mars),2AA (Earth) the Controller is later built on Mars to regulate terraforming & population

Hundreds of years later on a completely terraformed Mars we have AC3,SL,NEXUS,LR.

  • wait... AC3 is on Mars?!

  • If the info I found is true, then every AC from 3 onwards takes place on a terraformed Mars. If you've followed the AC series it actually would make sense. (Which is why I posted it)

But I'm not ruling out that the info is fan- theory bullshit. I forget which site i found it on and I could not relocate it.

  • @18CaStRaDoMiS89 What you say makes abit of sense up till the point of AC2 , they do carry on terraforming mars , but the focus switches in AC3 to rebuilding Earth and making it suitable to live on again, seeing as the majority of the population was living underground the surface needed to be reformed and thats when AC3 comes in where the companys are again fighting for control of the surface of Earth , then from there on it takes place all on Earth , Last Raven is to be concidered the last one.

  • Chromehounds is NOT part of the series....

  • @18CaStRaDoMiS89 AC3, SL, Nexus, and LR do not take place on a terraformed Mars. AC3 starts in one of the undiscovered underground colonies on Earth that have not been re-surfaced yet after the Great Destruction. Notice all the old equipment and structures you protect and destroy in missions are the EXACT same as they were in Armored Core 1. For example: The early mission where you have to destroy the crane/tractors to stop what they are building.

  • A little tip on anyone who hasn't actually read the game plots on the original OLD ass Armored Core website that no longer exists. After the surface of Earth was habitable again after the Great Destruction. Some colonies were taking to the surface after learning this and searched for other underground colonies who did not yet know the surface was no longer polluted from the Great Destruction. Some colonies took a looong time before being found. The colony from AC3 is one of these.

  • As for SL, Nexus, and LR. There's no way they can be on a terraformed Mars. Mars could never have a blue sky or vast oceans. And people wouldn't be able to walk around freely like they did in the LR intro video.

  • @18CaStRaDoMiS89

Chrome hounds has nothing to do with the AC universe, AC3 through last Raven is an alternate Universe to AC2-AC2AA. AC4 and FA are supposedly prologues but were never confirmed as such.

  • Excuse my last part, I need to reconfirm my information, AC2 and AC3 being completely separate is just a timeline issue, because anything past Nexus makes no mention of what happened with AC2-AA, so it either happened actually before AC2, or alternate theory crap again.

  • is the original armored core series related to the AC2 series or was nineball just there because he's badass?

  • its all the same era till ac3

  • The era's of each game are sporadic and inconsistent with the technology used in each game. Timeline is a mess.

  • true but im pretty sure that its all the same era in ac1-acaa

  • All enemies in Lost Field is basically a boss from the previous games.

Stinger is from Armored Core: Project Phantasma. He was the bad guy AC:PP.

Phantasma is Stinger fused with the Phantasma, of Armored Core: Project Phantasma, He was the last Boss of AC:PP.

Ultimate Nineball is just the super BADASS, and the Final Boss of Armored Core: Master of Arena

  • lol... the old KRSW is broke... The new one is so weak ( well, not that weak but I still complain about 40 ammo in LR ).

Is it me or does this Armored Core game seem... Slow? Even with an OB, you're not going faster than a medium AC with the TP boosters.

  • lol i scream "IM FIRING MAH LAZER" and own everything that moves(yes i yell at the game)

  • I remember this one. It took me forever to beat it. Maybe not any more as I have gotten better. I want his ac to use in AC For Answer, talk about some fun times ^_^.

  • Me:"ok wonder whats my target"

    Nineball"TARGET VERIFIED COMMENCING HOSTILITIES"

Me:"THE FUCK YOUR ALIVE!? *approximately 20 mins later* Game Over

lol in all honesty, i think he was easier in AC2AA compared to ACMoA. Only reason i got my ass handed by him is cuz the line he said Sent Fear right through me lol. Anyone who faced this juggernaut in MoA will know how terrible this bastard was. XD

  • This mother fucker took me a year to beat, mainly because I liked my MachineGun answer to everything.

Had like 10 rounds left and pumped them into him as he backed up into a wall. I remember thinking something along the lines of " DIE YOU SON OF A BITCH".

  • @LgndryThndr hahaha just missle spam with the missle arms and back up vertical missles and extension.

  • @LgndryThndr Same with me too cept I was 6 or 7 years old XD

  • @LgndryThndr jajajajajajaj thats funny im not laughing at you by the way

  • tru tru

  • ha ha KARASAWA rifle is always the best

  • He doesn't look anywhere NEAR as hard as he used to be. You used to have to fight him like three times.

  • The WM-AT missiles killed him in 2 shots...But that doesn't work with the remake in Another Age... the EWM-FIN-800.

  • Hell Yeah, just fucking beat it!

  • i have had this game for like 6 years and i never beat him, i am really good, it's just that i gave up on it

  • I just used the Karasawa and the add 50% ammo pack with RJ legs

  • Hmmm....

Your AC setup is almost identical to mine except for the color (Dark blue w/ Gold Trim) and the extension.

Your fighting style is similar, though I tend to move around alot more (OB instead of turn extension), and use blade extensively. (Moonlight + Optional Part for blade dmg increase + 135 en supply arms = max 3 hit kill on any MD or lower weight AC)

    Best Game ever btw.

  • dude dont get to cocky i beat him without the cheat codes

  • dude how in the hell u get the weapon u have i done the last mision and defeated all the things in arena but idk how to unlock it!!!

  • LOL at your human plus, I can beat this guy in 30 seconds without human plus or any kind of player boost. :P Though to be honest, I've been trying to get my AC2AA to accept my AC2 Data so I can actaully use my Human plus on it for a LONG time now, for some reason it wont find my data so I can't do it, but oh well. I'd love to play you, you seem like you'd be a good challenge as you fight quite similar to how I fight.

  • ya seraph has a emblem its a nineball

  • what the fuck are you?a damn ac pilot master?oh and nice ac by the way

  • I just got to Nineball Seraph yesterday... I got like 12 shots on him with the Karasawa, but I accidentally landed without using boosters and therefore I fell victim to his almighty blade slash :(

  • Well, now that I used your AC setup Cacophanus, I defeated him! The only difference is that I had around 4300 AP left :)

  • nineball seraph here seems kinda slower on the ground but still retains his massive OB speed in the air... and another difference from AC:MOA is that he can use blades while in the air and uses only a single blade to fire a wave while in MOA, he used a cross slash... still his attacking frequency seems to have reduced here...

  • these people got to stop making parts all overweight its ridiculous

  • ook, i kindi faught this guy with just a standard LW AC, but without the turning extensions. The tip without the turning extensions is that, try to keep OB-ing till further notice, then turn your back every time after you over boost, then fly up. then, once you see him in your sights. rain him with the K-SAW

  • I remember facing him, I would get so mad cause I couldn't beat him which took me a hundred times. Wish I had the game still, now that I am older and been playing Armored Core for years now, I'm sure I could beat him in no time.

  • when seraph said "target verified, commencing hostilities" in japanese, i kinda heard "commencing" roughly in english...

    ???

  • ターゲット確認 (target kakunin)

    排除開始 (haijo kaishi)

    Target confirmed.

    Initiate elimination.

  • this wouldve been so much harder if nineball seraph attacked as often as the normal AC nineball. instead, ineball seraph just OB's around in circles and periodically stops to shoot (pewpew!)

    the only hard part of this fight is if u stand still and get moonlit up ^^;

  • Nineball Seraph with Overboost.

Shit, and I thought he was hard in Master of Arena....

  • I got anti-ripped off by gamestop/eb games whatever

They said that they only had the disc, it turns out that they had the case, the original box art, and the manual.

The only thing bad about the manual was that the previous owner had stabbed a few holes in it.

I beat all of the lost-fielders with a Tank AC, so doing it bipedal can't be that hard.

  • thank you sir...

  • Dude it was back in my childhood I don't think they'll accept 2 year old games

  • i love memories...

  • Man... EB Games ripped me off at the Fashion Show Mall... (Yes I live in Vegas) I bought AC2: AA but instead I got the ordinary Armored Core 2 inside the box :(

  • I was lucky to get Armored Core 2 and 3 and both cases had both disc in it. For you I know how it feels to get rip off but life ain't fair right?

  • True, then life sucks. Well, only the bad parts (duh)

  • ! Well, I have since SL until AC4...

  • u so lucky...i only experienced armored core MOA in my child hold...then i only experienced Armored core NB and ACLR...i cant get any old games from any stores...still i m very sastified with this life

  • i have an emulator that lets me play armored core and armored core master of arena on my PC and other PSX games if you want to know how to get the emulator just ask. (btw wen i played AC&ACMoA for the first time since i first played it in my child hood i was really happy) ahhhhh the memories.

  • quote from sledgehammer from Armored Core 1:"you're still alive???!!? but we will end that now!"

  • I remember I almost fainted when I saw I was to fight NBS again... I had like 5 AP left, and I killed him on a lucky shot

  • translations: Target Verrified! Commence Attack!

  • actually its Target Verified, Commencing Hostilities!

i remember cuz it creeped the hell outta me

  • all you used was the karasaw??!!??

  • I keep on whoopin Hyper Nine-Ball. U gotta watch it on them blade waves tho.

I used Action Replay 2 plus me.

  • key word: action replay. cheater.... :P

  • i beat this game and never saw that mission

  • It's one of the three missions you can unlock after beating the game.

  • wtf did i just see a boost turn at around 38 secs??????!?!?

  • which boost?nineball seraph's boost??

  • That is IBIS. Not really the same.

  • yeah, IBIS is much MUCH easier than Nineball Seraph, IBIS went down first try, NBS has whopped me 17 times now

  • Same here.

  • as always and forever more. nineball's a true pain in the rear cans

  • how do u get the human plus on here im already under -50000 so what do i do now

  • As crystalmanEXE said. (above) Also check out gamewinners(dot)com. They have a pretty good listing of hidden parts

  • dude im fighting nineball seraph now and i got over 4mill creds and im still not beating the fker im using speed parts armor parts jumper parts u name it i can not beat the guy and its on normal and im actualy good at the game hell it was supposed to be harder to take on 3 armored cores then one mega core mech or the massive MT.

  • what is seraph's theme called?

  • I believe it's called 9

  • Where do you get it?

  • The song is on Nexuses revolution disk, or you can download it at Armored Core Online.

  • also the same theme as in AC:MoA. You can also download it on either galbadiahotel or khinsider in the original Armored Core OST disc.

I didn't expect to hear such a familiar tune though, so fitting...

  • Nineball Seraph: "Target verified!!! Commencing Hostilities!!!" Me: "Wtf? Oh shit I'm so totally screwed." *0.1 seconds later* "Sweet jesus I'm dying!!!"

  • ultimate boss right here.

kicks all ass. He's like the robo chuck norris.

  • i dont get what you mean. is it the same power but way slower?

  • I agree. It pisses me off, it used to be my fav. weapon.

  • a questinon an AC=Armored Core but what means MT??

    pleas tell 555*
