The UP gave it up because online traffic had deteriorated so bad they only ran locals on it. UP doesn't run rock trains, MNA receives them on an as-needed basis. The empty coal trains run out of Newark, AR and run with MNA crews. MNA also services the La Due, MO KCPL Power Plant with UP provided coal trains.

I see alot of ex BN, UP and SP on this track. This used to be Missouri Pacific and when UP took them over they said the tunnels in Arkansas were to low for double stack so they sold it to Rail America and Missouri & Northern Arkansas runs on it daily. UP runs empty rock and coal trains nort bound only and grain trains southbound since the track runs into UP at both ends.
