superbowl XL i think was a steelers game, the only calls i don't agree with are the first touchdown at the goal line, i disagree that he got through the plain, he was down before he got in, kinda like superbowl XXXIV rams titans, i also disagree with the push off from darrell jackson in the endzone, it wasn't really a push off, too close to call, anyways the seahwaks were shutdown by the steelers defense and hasselbeck couldnt throw for shit but unfortunately the steelers won it
The Steelers won superbowls 40 and 43 fairly. The officiating was unbiased and legit, end of story. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. And i can back everything up. Any dumbasses want to be given a wake up call?
@steel5w is that why Bill Leavy apologized to NFL fans several years later for butchering SB 40? But I'm sure he doesn't know what happened that game he was only on the field officiating the game, I think I'm going to take your unbiased Steeler fan view over his though. lmao!
@SuperSixinches He didn't apologize because of wrong calls or possibly changing the outcome of the game. Maybe just for missed calls (for both teams). The only reason this game is controversial is morons without an understanding of the rules. And maybe you should take an unbiased view, then you wouldn't be laughing in pure ignorance.
@SuperSixinches is that why Mike Pereira maintains that the calls in question were correct... with the exception of the "low block" called on Hasselbeck?????
I don't think you people have watched Super Bowl XL since 2005. The game was obviously officiated horribly with every big call going towards pittsburg that ruined the momentum and of the game and the overall integrity of the NFL. I love the league and I love the game, but if you are a true fan of the game I don't think you should be so proud of the stealers taking this one down in the way that they did. THE REF HIMSELF SAID HE MADE MISTAKES JUST RECENTLY AFTER HE RETIRED!
@highlyevolved420 Bill Leavy is not retired... and in response to Bill Leavy's comments, Mike Pereira, the VP of Officating from 2004-2009 said, "Did Leavy's calls determine the winner of Super Bowl XL? Absolutely not! In truth, there were missed calls that went against both teams." And that has been my entire point, the calls were not always correct, but they went both ways. It was FAIR.
@highlyevolved420 I could imagine how much they would cry if the same calls went against them. I remember the Colts game two weeks prior to XL. They were crying their asses off, and they WON!
@FullMetalTrucker lol, what a cripplingly stupid comment. There was a blatant wrong call that almost cost the game. Doesn't matter if you still win or not, if it wasn't fair, it can be pointed out. The calls in SB 40 were correct, and the few missed calls on both teams did not change the outcome in the least.
We legitly won both superbowls... Ravens fans are cry babies, Seattle fans are pissed because they've sucked ever since we beat them in XL, Cincy fans are pissed that they cant repeat a good season ever. Were the best team in the NFL we'll prove that this year with Leftwich for part of the season.
hahahahaha is he really talking about the 1970s? he wasnt even alive. classic steelers fan

@highlyevolved420 You clearly don't understand the rules of the NFL. Don't comment about stuff you have no idea about.
