r u using a variac? if yes whats it dialed down too?

No variac. Just a MIG 50 and either a Rat distortion pedal or an MXR EQ for boost.(It's been a while) It does have that mushy variac sort of a feel. The variac doesn't really change the tone so much as it makes the tone sound mushy and loose.
