This is a byzantine chain using a very old chainmaille weaving technique. The first solution is to use much smaller jumprings. A 5 mm inner diameter 20 gauge jumpring is almost the ideal size. I would recommend checking out The Ring Lord and the descriptions of AR or Aspect Ratio as well as the Byzantine tutorial in their library if you are interested in this kind of work.
I watched this video several times before I attempted it. The directions and video are very clear, and my spheres and chain looked exactly like yours. However, the jump rings which are connected to form the design did not hold the spherical shape, and fell constantly, which was disappointing, as I could not figure out what I needed to do to make them hold their shape. Suggestions?
