He's good. I don't think he was ever bad to begin with. He just loves food and got scared in the first one when Ray zapped him with his zapper thing. Then when he saw Venkman with the same thing on he automaticaly assumed that Venkman was going to do the same thing to him so he slimed him to get away.
I have one question, in the first film, Slimer was the first ghost the GB ever caught, now in this movie, it appears that slimer is now living with the GB. Is that true or not? (BTW I watched the cartoon series as well.)
@TF2Fan101 In the first movie Peck instructs the containment grid to be switched off setting all the ghost they caught including slimer free, In the very last few frames of the movie slimer is seem flying towards the veiwer. It's unclear why he's hanging around the firehouse in Ghostbusters II but in the video game they keep him in a kind of glass aquarium suggesting they keep him to run experiments on him.

@LukeMM95 that is very true but that doesnt mean he was referring to "slimer" directly there, other ghosts are technically considered slimers in that universe to, ray in the RGB decided to call him that in the episode "citizen ghost" i believe
