I think my problem with this special is that the clip montages really only make use of the Muppet Show. Fraggle Rock has a lot of neat characters that could've been in the "Imagination" part, but they only get one clip. Plus, I feel like the whole "Cultural Side" part was an excuse to show off clips from the Muppets Go to the Movies.
this was the first rendition of Pure Imagination i was ever familiar with, before even seeing Willy Wonka. Both versions are beautiful, but this one really takes me back.
I decided to look it up in the Muppet Wiki for you. It's from The Muppet Show episode 107. And as an added bonus, it's spelled Galley-oh-hoop-hoop and the planet Koozebane.
just to clarify batlrar's answer. It was first shown on the muppet show BUT it was actually developed by Jim in 1965 as a show called martian landing which never got made. But the show would've been like the sketch in that it's a nature observation show.. of alien beings.
My folks recorded this for me before I was born although it only came in that the 1:38 mark in this video. Thanks for uploading it all.

I crack up at Frank Oz's scream that scares Kermit during the Koozebane scene. Talk about talent, and the echo makes it so much better too.
