  • My folks recorded this for me before I was born although it only came in that the 1:38 mark in this video. Thanks for uploading it all.

  • I think my problem with this special is that the clip montages really only make use of the Muppet Show. Fraggle Rock has a lot of neat characters that could've been in the "Imagination" part, but they only get one clip. Plus, I feel like the whole "Cultural Side" part was an excuse to show off clips from the Muppets Go to the Movies.

  • trash heap!sweet

  • I crack up at Frank Oz's scream that scares Kermit during the Koozebane scene. Talk about talent, and the echo makes it so much better too.

  • The bit with the Swedish Chef cracks me up.

  • In the beginning, Oscar was like, "What the heck is that chef saying?" LOL!

  • "COOOOKIES!"

    I love Cookie Monster!

  • aww the imagination monatagen is so sweet :')

    also COOKIEE!!!!!!!!!

  • pure imagination w/ ben vereen is great.. I'll even excuse him for being the mayor of Zoobilie zoo.

  • this was the first rendition of Pure Imagination i was ever familiar with, before even seeing Willy Wonka. Both versions are beautiful, but this one really takes me back.

  • XD Kuzbanians.

  • XD The gallyo hoop hoop is just hilarious! Which episode is it from?

  • I'm not sure but I think its from season one of the muppet show. I can't say what episode, though.

  • Ah, thanks

  • I decided to look it up in the Muppet Wiki for you. It's from The Muppet Show episode 107. And as an added bonus, it's spelled Galley-oh-hoop-hoop and the planet Koozebane.

  • just to clarify batlrar's answer. It was first shown on the muppet show BUT it was actually developed by Jim in 1965 as a show called martian landing which never got made. But the show would've been like the sketch in that it's a nature observation show.. of alien beings.

  • Thank you to everyone who made this possible

RIP Jim, Richard, and Jerry J.

  • Uncle Traveling Matt: Do you know what it takes to be a Muppet?

    Cookie Monster: COOKIES!!

Uncle Traveling Matt: Um... no. It takes imagination. *sniff*

  • Is Elmo a koozbanian? They kinda look like him. The babies though.

  • I love the koozbanians!

  • I'd love to see the number performed by the baby seals and penguin.

  • That was from the Gene Kelly episode which I believe you can find on one of the Time Life tapes, if they're still available

  • Ben Vereen singing "Pure Imagination" is full of win.

  • oh does anybody know what episoed Scooter fought the Jabberwoky!

  • Brooke Shields- aka the Alice In Wonderland episode

  • the snerfs! LOL weren't they on the episode of the muppet show where bruce forsyth was the guest star?

  • Yes they were! :)

  • was that 1 of the news flashes at 1:54?

  • Jim Henson performed The Swedish Chef's head and voice, while Frank Oz performed his arms!
