He wasn't unfortunate, he raised his hands far too soon, and was not a good enough rider to actually stay on the bike! I am sure he learned from his mistake though! The guy that did win seemed to be embarrassed that he won as a result of the stupid mistake. He didn't exactly sprint for the line to take full advantage of the situation.
