  • WHAT !?

    Punk is not dead.

Is it just me that realizes this .

they basically stole Lou Reed's voice and took Velvet Underground's instrumentals.

    Extinction was their best song

The best songs on this album are Down On Loving, Flammable, and Pull Out.

  • @CzeslawMeyer Maybe it's not dead, but it does smell funny.

  • @theneedledrop

    haha true.

  • I love the way you edit, lol.

  • Never heard the Muslims, so I'm excited for this.

  • Anthony. I hope you know that you are my favourite blogger. your reviews are so good.

that being said, you can't hate on it because it isn't as thrilling as their debut, because hello, that one hit us HARD. plus the bullet holes were rad. anyhow, I fucking love this album, but maybe it's because I am a sucker for no nonsense garage rock

    PUNK LIVES.

  • Well, I feel like part of the reason it wasn't thrilling is because I feel like they made this record already. :-p It just feels a little to Deja Vu for me when it comes to my first experience hearing them. It's not necessarily that the style is the same, but the songs kinda remind me of the Muslims EP / LP, too. O__o *internet hug*

  • agreed, sometimes you just got to push the limits.

  • hey i saw these guys live when they opened for Bloc Party!!

  • Punk is dead. Just dont tell the thousands of crust punks and hardcore kids that still play it. Although I guess modern punk is more metal then anything else before.

  • ", and We all know that punk is dead. " Hahaha,

Friends of mine would argue against that statement to the death. I agree though!

This is a really cool ep by the way! Thanks for turning me on to it. Also, I only have one last thing to say!

WHO DAT?! WHO DAT?! WHO DAT?!

(You know that you want to finish it, Anthony.)

  • best tree intro

  • Hahahaha. Glad you feel that way! :-D

  • There are too many Garage Rock bands out :( Btw Anthony, I feel that Richman's shtick was his personality, being all boyish, not so much a real swagger.

  • I dunno. I feel like sometimes he can come off a bit cocky.

  • Really? When's the last time you gave Hospital a listen? He's like the vulnerable boy-next-door.

  • Hahaha. OK, OK, you got me there. And he's also pretty boyish singing "IT'S MAAAGIC! IT'S MAAAAGIC!" But I'd argue that you have to be pretty self-confident to not feel exposed coming off that way to a listening audience. :-) *hugs*

  • Some of his rockabilly stuff was some of the greatest quirky songwriting I'd ever heard.

  • I'll have to check this out awesome review

  • *bro fist*

  • Ah, I really want to pick this up, but there are so many things coming out right now it's just hard.

  • I know, music is coming out @ the speed of light!

  • The Needle Drop kicks ass 5*****

  • I didn't know you knew about/like Ian MacKaye, love Minor Threat, cool to know I'm not the only person who thinks about them, hah!

Cool to hear this band, I love knowing about bands from San Diego (like me!) is that fiesta island in the background?

  • Hahhaha. I have no clue. :-p

  • Nice review. You have a subscriber from Mexico City here...

  • a-a-a-a-m-m-e-e-n-n-n to that review.

  • cool dip

  • excellent

  • Where will I be able to get my hands on this album for a listen?

  • I'm slacking off/watching your videos from my new office I got at work. BALLER !!

  • Awesome review :]
