Lpq sucks -_- from lvls 47-51 its horrible. But you should do both. my opinion. i did lpq until i got 20% then trained at chronos for about another 20% then 20% more of lpq and so on

When you jump, at the halfway of your jump, press assulter. it would work together and hit mobs on the top ledge. If you jump 3/4~full jump and assaulter, you will go up instead.

Timing is the key. It may be easier to do in the air as a reverse jump shot so that you don't have to worry about switching the directional button too quickly (hopefully that made sense). With practice you'll get it.

In this video I didn't jump, but some people have found it easier to do while jumping. All I did was walk very close to the monster without getting hit, turn around, and hit assaulter.

DanteForever20XX is so right.. assaulter is a piece of shit, why would u want stun if ur gona get pwned in mobs anyway, plus being sent through a monster doesnt exactly help u against bigger guys like kargos and cerebes >.> band of thieves owns it completely, sb as ur main att, band of thieves for mob = perfect ownage. meso explosion is weak, not worth wasting 2mil to kill a papulatus, cheaper to buy pots with the 2mil to beat him by hand -.-"

personally, im band of thieves builder, but i face problems going 1 on 1 with pro mobs like balrog, sb dosent stun it and i keep taking constant damage, being 6 hits, the monster's defence greatly reduces the damages dished out onto it decreasing efficentcy of killing it, assaulter stuns and does 1 big number, this decreases the damage lessened by monster defence.

Band of thief is for mob i got to agree, as i said im a band of thief builder, but assaulter helps on 1 on 1 boss monster, so its a matter of preferances. No offence though ^^

I never said anything about Assaulter being a piece of shit. Assaulter goes though the enemy so you won't get hit, it ignores defence sometimes. On bigger enemies, if you stun them and THEN use SB a few times it's pwnage. You don't NORMALLY drop a ton of money and use ME, you use pickpocket, attack a few enemies, and then finish off the rest with ME. I've seen people use it and use it effectively. It's a great skill.

You're using assaulter wrong if you're using it on mobs or monsters you can't get through. Assaulter stuns to halt magic attacks. I've shown the tricks with assaulter to describe its versatility. Many have already mentioned the SB/monster defense thing. A good combo is dashing through a row of monsters to get them in a mob for BoT.

Regarding killing papulatus by hand, you run the risk of dying (esp right before you kill it).

Also-does Assaulter only hit one enemy? Like, if there's 2 or 3 monsters clumped together, will you dash through and hit all of them or just the first one?

It really depends on the map whether haste gets in the way or not. The technique is incredibly simple and useful because you won't get hit from underneath.
