  • She is a beautiful well spoken independent thinker who is also a minority - so liberals MUST destroy her - she is a danger to them.

Can't have the slaves thinking for themselves and getting off the Democrat Plantation can we.....

  • @MetalDetroit

This woman is a joke! FOUR Abortions later, and WELFARE Asst. as a teenage mother, I guess she has all of sudden seen the light. I don't know who is worst-Her or C. Thomas (Affirmative Action).

Btw, you call it a "democratic plantation"? I guess you're saying that Blacks can't think for themselves, so they just BLINDLY fall in line, eh? That comment is an insult. When will the repub. start electing a few Blacks to hold office?

    PS-Her oratory skills suck!

  • @whiteliberal1 "We'll have those N****s voting Democrat for the next 200 years."

Democrat President Lyndon Johnson quoted by two reporters on Airforce 1 referring to passage of the 1964 Civil Rihts Act

  • @MetalDetroit Unlike you, I research and provide sources for my quotes. You're quoting something that was taken from a book by "Ronald Kessler"?

Since you're so concerned about people using the "N-word", why didn't you mention this quote?

"He's a marxist, socialist, fascist and a lying Nigger Preacher"- J Edgar Hoover (R) describing MLK Jr.. Sounds familiar?

    Your Turn!

  • @whiteliberal1 "Barack Obama is the first clean articulate black man to run for President" Democrat Joe Biden

  • @MetalDetroit You see, this is why COPS install video-cameras in their patrol cars. When you tell your version, this is the outcome. Here's the exact quote:

"I mean, you got the first MAINSTREAM African American who is Articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean that's a storybook, man." Joe Biden (D) 2/2007

    You selectively left out;

    A. MAINSTREAM

    B. He mentioned nothing about running for POTUS.

Why fabricate something to a stranger? Is it that serious? You LOSE!

  • @whiteliberal1 "I do not think it is an exaggeration at all to say to my friend from West Virginia [Sen. Byrd] that he would have been a great senator at any moment. . . . He would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation." --Sen. Christopher Dodd (D., Conn.), 2004

  • @whiteliberal1 "I am a former Kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County. The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia. It is necessary that the order be promoted immediately and in every state in the union." Democrat Senator Robert Byrd

  • @whiteliberal1 ".....I was surprised to find African-Americans watch the same news at night that ordinary Americans do. "

President Clinton on Black Entertainment Television, November 2, 1994

  • @whiteliberal1 "Jews, that's J-E-W-S" Democratic state representative Bill McKinney on why his daughter Cynthia lost in 2002

    "You f*cking Jew b@stard"

-- Democrat Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to political operative Paul Fraymark

  • @whiteliberal1 “God Hates Fags” — Democrat Preacher Fred Phelps(Westboro Baptist Church)

"I don't care what people are saying Uptown or wherever they are. This city will be chocolate at the end of the day. This city will be a majority African-American city. It's the way God wants it to be."

-- Democrat Mayor of New Orleans Ray Nagin

  • @MetalDetroit Before you continue to fabricate any other quotes, junior-I would appreciate it if you would respond to the one you that lied about earlier (Joe Biden). Until then, everything you post will be viewed as a LIE.

If you want to selectively quote people, try quoting a few others. David Dukes, Strom Thurmond, George Wallace and Trent Lott! I could name more, but I'm running out of characters, Character.

Now, shoo, you low-budget andrew breitbart wannabe!

  • @whiteliberal1 If you don't see the racism in what Biden said then that says more about you than me. Democrats are the true racists.

Goes back to Rudyard Kiplings "theory of the white man's burden" It is up to the white man to take care of the "savages" because they are too stupid to take care of themselves. Now - the democrats give minorities crumbs in return for votes. Meanwhile - the schools are a disgrace and Dems oppose school vouchers to keep teachers unions happy. Keep 'em uneducated..

  • @MetalDetroit Um, lessee if those NON racist republicans will elect this dimwit of woman. I can honestly NOT blame them and play the "race card" with her. She's dumb!

It's hard for me to understand your logic about the Democrat party being a group of racist, when they have elected a Bi-Racial man to serve as POTUS. Until the repubs. elect a few people of color, I would advise you to work on that.

Again, Ken Blackwell, Herman Cain, Steele and Alan Keyes all got their Asses handed to them.

  • @whiteliberal1 And why did the racist Democrats try to DESTROY Clarence Thomas' reputation. Not just defeat his nomination - but destroy his character. Because they can't allow a black man to be seen as independent and an individual thinker. Because that might cause other black men to leave the Democrat run plantation.

  • @MetalDetroit You're an idiot!

You asked, "why did the racist Democrats try to DESTROY Clarence Thomas reputation."

Sorry to disappoint you, but Jim Jeffords (R) voted against his confirmation. Also, to further debunk your foolish comment, "Richard Shelby (D)" voted yes!

It's dumbasses like you that make this Country look ignorant as a whole. Was he an "Individual thinker" when his sorry ass benefitted from Affirmative Action?

Those "racist dem." elected a "Blk. man" for Pres. Now, shoo!

  • @whiteliberal1 Wow - so you found 2 politicians who voted against their party - excellent google skills. your point ? The majority of "progressive" democrats voted against a black man's confirmation while trying to destroy his credibility.

His qualifications for S.C. are outstanding.

You say he benefitted from Affirmative Action - his credentials speak for themselves. Again - It is Democrats that say he is a "race traitor" because he doesn't think the way he is "supposed too"

  • @MetalDetroit You said that, "those racist democrats voted against C Thomas". I debunked your foolish comment by naming a REPUBLICAN that voted against him and a DEMOCRAT that for him. That proves you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, boy.

The Dems elected a BI-RACIAL man to serve as POTUS. When will those Racist Democrats learn?

"His qualifications are outstanding"? Leah Sears was much better when they worked out of Savannah, Ga.! She'll take Bader's spot when she retires.

  • @whiteliberal1 Yeah - sure thing "son"

The only reason Obama was even nominated was for political reasons. Do you really think he was qualified to be President after 143 days in Congress (before he started running for President)

Even on MSNBC today they acknowledged that many democrats are saying that Obama is a rank amateur who doesn't know what he is doing.

He was nominated for political purposes only. You know it - you just won't admit it to yourself.

  • @MetalDetroit It's amazing how you moved from Clarence Thomas after getting your ass handed to you. Now you want to talk about Obama and the fact that you "faithfully" watch MSNBC? I bet if they would've said, "he's becoming the GREATEST PRESIDENT of all time, you wouldn't have mentioned it. Who are those "many democrats"? It's easy to say things w/o sources. Something you're good at doing.

Not ONE Black is serving on the fed. level from the repub. party. Why?

  • @whiteliberal1 Thomas has been talked to death and on the S.C. despite democrats best efforts to spike him. You didn't answer anything about Obama's lack of experience that even Hillary pointed out.

As for the Fed level - Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell during the Bush Admin - and look at the horrible things liberal Democrats called Condoleeza.

  • @MetalDetroit I don't care what excuses you offer up, junebug. Again, those RACIST DEMOCRATS elected a Bi-Racial President. Now you're calling on Hillary? Not only are you a MSNBC fan, now you're a Hillary fan? Get over it, HE WON!

Also, do you know the difference between ELECTING & APPOINTING? Condi and General Powell were both APPOINTED!

General Powell (R) supported Obama! He said that Obama was well qualified to become POTUS. Funny you didn't add him to your list of detractors. LOL

  • @MetalDetroit Did you run out of fuel? You were responding right away until I pointed out that, "General Powell (Repub) ENDORSED President Barack Obama during the 2008 campaign. Oh yeah, you were pointing out that, MSNBC and Hillary Clinton (his opponent in the Primary) were criticizing him. When I cracked that TATER of yours about Powell, all we can hear now is CRICKETS.

Btw, Armstrong Williams (R) also voted for Obama!

I can't make this stuff up. You're too easy, junior. LOL

  • @whiteliberal1 Just got back in town - Thanks for your concern - sad you have the need to call people "son, junior, junebug" in order for you to feel better about yourself.

As for Republicans having fewer minority elected officials - minorities have to run to be voted in. As a whole - they tend to vote Democrat against their own best interests as I've pointed out. Can't elect them if they don't run - true ?

  • @MetalDetroit Oh, you forgot about Cletus? I thought you were doing your "Weekend Warrior" bid for DUI.

Since you want to keep getting your SKULL CRACKED, look up Melvin Everson (R-Ga). When you GOOGLE that, get back to me, jethro.

Again, Steele, Blackwell, Keyes and Herman Cain all got their Asses burned! Two of them couldn't make it out of the republican primary. How many Blacks do you need to run? Can't elect them if the republicans won't vote for them-true?

  • @MetalDetroit In response about Obama being a "rank amateur", check this out: Health Care Reform Overhauled Student Loan Programs Amped up SCHIP-4 Million Kids covered Signed treaty with Russia for Reduction of Nuclear Arms Withdrawn over 90,000 Troops in Iraq and working on withdrawing the rest $20B from BP to pay the victims TAX CUTS FOR MOST AMERICANS! Equal Pay for Equal work (Lilly Ledbedder act) ...say uncle and I might stop! All of this in 16 months?! LOL
  • No problem: there is a special corner of hell waiting for this scum-bag hypocrite.

  • ... given what I read of her politics of wanting christian values back in schools, evolution to not be taught, etc etc.. I am pretty sure your grand ole fascist ideology of a state religion is not what the founding fathers would have wanted.

As well as her keep using "socialism" as if it was a bad thing, LOOK HERE PINHEAD, YOU WANT THE PLEDGE BROUGHT BACK TO SCHOOLS... THE PLEDGE WAS WRITTEN BY FRANCIS BELLAMY, A PROUD SOCIALIST, so shut up already with all of your whining and bitching.

  • These religious converts are the worst.

  • What a fucking lunatic. Why the hell is this crazy bitch not preaching from a rubber room?

    Oh, right....

  • Poor, deluded Smarm Parker. If brains were music, she'd be a brass band.

  • coming from a House slave that won't think for themselves, just mindless support Racist libtrad slave masters, I'll take your immature bigoted insults as compliments, since you're too bamboozled by the blue pill and kool-aid to think for yourself.

  • Kevyster, that would be DUNCE, not "duence", if you're attempting to communicate using the English language. There's just no substitute for brains. Smarm Parker and you: separated at birth.

  • nice try, but there's a racial difference that would have made that generically impossible. It's not my fault despite all your fancy PC brainwashing ( "education" as you have been led to believe), you still aren't smart enough to think for yourself.

  • Well, I certainly don't buy into certain religious based aspects of her philosophy, but I don't get why some here from the left call her a whore and whatever else. She's a very intelligent, well spoken, black lady on the political scene. It's not necessary to agree with anything she says to admit that, is it? What's wrong with diversity on the right wing? Why can't a black lady be a right winger. Her history prior to her career just shows that she has matured and taken control of her life.

  • Careful Star, liberals can't stand to hear the truth. You hit them where it hurts and they will surely attck you for it. Thanks Star, for telling it like it is............

  • lol covetnessness isn't even a word, lol and I wonder what Jesus had to do with destroying that place where all the greedy money changers in it, uhoh JESUS Was a socialist! This lady needs to get real.

  • ya all these attacks about her are true, congratulations, you guys are all Captain Obvious.

that's what welfare does to our society: abortions, whores, and all the rest. She knows first hand, that's why she's preaching AGAINST it all

haven't you ever heard of repentance?

how about your secrets? God is choosing a day to judge your sins and secrets, you won't have star parker to compare yourself to, only God's perfect commandments that you broke. me too

  • amyntage, here's just one reason why I hate Star Parker: with my own ears, in person, I heard her say, when talking about President Obama and all Democrats, "These guys (liberals) are secular, God-hating communists!.

Parker is the black RushBlow Slimebaugh... except she's worse. I read that she thinks the NY Post chimp "cartoon" was the best cartoon attacking Obama that she's ever seen. This woman is a wh*re.

  • That cartoon of the cops shooting the Ape was so funny. Too bad it didn't include Failosi, Reid, Waters, KKK Boxer and Dodd.

  • I see a lot of people attacking star parker. What I want to know is why they hate a black woman making something of herself. She speaks out against welfare and how she was stuck on it. she informs from a first hand account how it can keep people down. for instance if you use drugs and are made unfit for work you can keep recieving a welfare check. it keeps you down and that is what she speaks out against. you have to + that.

  • No body is more Anti- Christian than this pinhead broad. Shes only had 4 abortions for christ sake!

  • Sick and whats even worse some ppl agree with her.

  • Holier than thow hypocrite. What a MORON.

  • she didn't mind the redistribution of wealth when she was collecting welfare. Oops..

  • A lot of you seem confused. I am someone who use to be agnostic, and laugh at christians. Now that I know the truth, my life before and after are black and white. God is good! All the time! Her abortions happened when she was lost. By Gods grace and mercy she was forgiven and can use her past to reach other lost souls.

  • So why hasn't Ms. Parker taken that large measure of grace & mercy that exonerated her of her 'sins', and re-distributed that grace to those who are still mired in poverty or have to make such horrific decisions concerning whether they should terminate their babies? There isn't an ounce of Godly love evident in this woman's rhetoric; just wrath and an intolerance for those who interpret Jesus Christ's (socialist) teachings about feeding the poor, comforting the sick, loving and forgiving others?

  • She has a right to her mistakens or sins. It doesn't preclude her from anything. She's not running for President. She seems to speak well from her position. Though, I don't even agree with all of her position's. I wish her well, regardless of my philosophical disagreements. I congratulate her on her accomplishments. I still see Bill Clinton running around promoting Democratic causes, even though he was caught in his lies. Obviously, Ms. Parker doesn't see Godly love the way you do.

  • Excellent comments by Star Parker! G-d Bless her.

  • She has a lot of nerve talking about the bible when she has killed 4 of her own babies.

  • don't you just love how star parker sounds so righteous on top of it, i guess she will wake up one day and be surprised that her god was really satan, she probably thought she needed to have 6 more abortions to keep god ehh satan happy.

  • If Uncle Ruckus in the cartoon The Boondocks had a wife or gf, she most definitely would be this wacko

  • Oh, and you know that this woman was on welfare when she was younger? And she had FOUR abortions?

Where would she be now if not for those abortions and welfare? Probably dirt poor and living on the street with her babies.

  • This woman makes me sad.

  • then go to you room and sit in the corner wearing a duence hat, you libtard racist prick

  • What a disgusting human being. Horrible, hateful and disgusting. This kind of hatred needs to be fully extricated from our society.

  • Ms. Parker conveniently overlooks the fact that Jesus himself tacitly affirmed the necessity of taxation when he said, "Render unto Ceasar what is his."

This "redistribution of wealth" phrase qualifies as 'red meat' language for the purposes of rallying against anyone who ever thought to impose a tax, which, by the way, is the way of the world. No one likes taxes, just like no one likes to pay their utility bill. The alternative, however, is less desireable.

  • "coventessness??"....is that even a word?

  • covetousness.

you're supposed to be a "screenwriter"??

    haha...

  • ....ok....so i have to know every single word in the english language to be a writer? terrible attempt at an insult.

  • You seem to be proud of your homeland, which is a natural human tendency.

It's called "in-group/out-group" thinking. And it's one of the things that causes war between countries.

  • Plimbuff,

Wow, what a bleak outlook. Let me see if I have this correct.

The United States has the highest rates of stupid, fat, criminals who are lucky they survived their birth from a teen age mother who has no healthcare and probably wont live very long anyway. And all being governed by an elected government that is big, mean and stupid, and anyone that is proud of our county is a war monger.

  • The anomaly of our success is a result of our vast resources and in time Christianity will really bring us to ruin.

    Is that about it?

  • Frankly, I don't see why you live here.

  • "The anomaly of our success is a result of our vast resources and in time Christianity will really bring us to ruin."

JWL, you said it better than I did.

In addition, I think that people who believe in the a God and especially "The Rapture", have already given up on our survival here on earth.

They believe we don't need to "try" to survive on earth because it's "God's plan" to end the planet.

As an agnostic, this worries me beyond words.

Especially considering the nuclear weaponry on call.

  • Who the hell is this walking advertisement for abortion?

  • jwlthe4th, you might be interested in this P.E.W. report.

Just Google: "Amoung wealthy countries, U.S. stands alone in it's embrace of religion"

It will show a graph comparing religious and non-religious countries.

(Notice that the LEAST RELIGIOUS countries are in fact the MOST DEVELOPED)

  • plimbluff,

Thank you for pointing this out to me. It is encouraging to know that I live in a country that has been blessed by God. I can only pray that He will continue to bless us in spite of ourselves.

  • You totally missed the main point.

Notice that the LEAST RELIGIOUS countries are in fact the MOST DEVELOPED.

    Why is that?

  • You are incredibly arrogant to say, "I live in a country that has been blessed by God".

What proof do you have of that?

You take the fact that the U.S. is a developed country, and conclude that we must be "Blessed by God".

    Wow.

Honestly, do you really believe you thought that through logically?

You should admit that your statement was illogical and arrogant.

  • plimbuff,

I do not mean to convey arrogance and I am sorry that this offends you. Perhaps you have a better explanation of why the US is an anomaly in the PEW study.

  • I encourage you to RESEARCH that question if your really interested. There is a lot of info and data on the subject, so don't just take my word for it.

    My point is:

Don't just kill your curiosity by assuming "God did It".

You don't have an immediate explanation, so you just assume "God did it".

    That's what I find arrogant.

  • plimbuff,

I am sorry but I am missing something here. I believe that you pointed out this PEW study to make some point. Perhaps relevant to the Star Parker expert in this video. What is it? Is it something like religion causes stunted development? I assume you have researched this all. What conclusion did you come to?

  • I didn't come to any "conclusion".

But the study does indicate that religion is not necessary to have a well functioning society. (In fact, it indicates just the opposite: that religion actually has a negative effect on society.)

    That was my main point.

  • plimbuff,

"that religion actually has a negative effect on society"

I assumed this was your point but I did not want to put words in your mouth.

There may be some truth to this, but there are a few problems with this assessment.

    1. All religions are the same and all have the identical societal effect.

    2. The US defies this conclusion.

    Lets take a look.

  • 1. All religions are the same and all have the identical societal effect.

I realize that the main criticism is of Christianity. It always is. But is it the same as all the other current world religions? Christianity is the largest world religion, but Islam is catching up. Next would be Hinduism. Are they the same as Christianity?

  • A. Islam

I dont think I have to say much about this one. Just a quick look at the societies that embrace this religion and the problems that the world has encountered as they spread out into societies that they have never been show this to be a very problematic religion. This is a great religion for feminists ;-)

  • B. Hinduism,

I have been looking at the caste system within Hinduism. Very troubling indeed. They believe that people come from different parts of god and are divided into different castes. The Dalits are not considered a part of god and are therefore considered lower than animals. They are delegated to a life of servitude and sanctified discrimination. There are over 160million of them in India. Sounds like fun :-(

  • 2. The US defies this conclusion.

The US is still very religious. Mainly Christian, but dropping steadily. If the contention that religion has a negative effect is true, the US should be positively impacted by the decline in Christianity. I simply dont see it. Quite the opposite.

  • Does Miss Parker ever define what social justice is? Or does she just keep saying what it isn't?

Sounds like she prefers Social Just Us to Social Justice.

And does Parker's perverted definition of social justice also mean that corporate handouts, unlimited war, and the sanctity of life ending at birth are all OK?

  • Wow. People are actually clapping for this crazy bitch??? Indoctrinated by anti-christian worldview??? lol. Like what? Teaching the fact of evolution? I guess all of a sudden only Creationists are "true" christians.

  • Is it just me, or is she saying that taxation is theft? Dont get me wrong, I hate taxes as much as the next guy but its necessary to maintain social programs, infrustructure and defense.

  • And what does the church do with it's tenth? Is'nt that re-distribution?

  • Love this attitude, For years the rest of the world has watched in humor & disbelief as America becomes a scientific third world. Keep believing that god is real and you know what it wants from a stone age text and pretty soon your religious educated school children will have to go to Mexico for a job because they won't be qualified to do anything else

  • Are you aware of the religious convictions of scientists that have brought us much of the science we base our lives on today? It was not that long ago that religious convictions were allowed to be shared in schools. The desire to remove God from our schools has been granted by the courts. How can you now blame religion for the degrading of our offspring when secularism has a total free hand in the education system?

  • jwlthe4th, you might be interested in this P.E.W. report.

Just Google: "Amoung wealthy countries, U.S. stands alone in it's embrace of religion"

It will show a graph comparing religious and non-religious countries.

(Notice that the LEAST RELIGIOUS countries are in fact the MOST DEVELOPED)

  • I highly doubt that you don't understand my beliefs. Otherwise, why have you been arguing with me? The makings of a decent conversation are here - but you're not interested in that. You'd rather move the goal posts by pretending I'm attacking you and not Star Jones and FRC Action.

It's a pretty crappy tactic. I'm not sure why I expected better esp. since you use straw man arguments to "prove" God exists.

  • As I said, why dont you try explaining what you believe instead of telling us what others believe. That would be a good start.

  • You're either autistic, a burn-out or a troll if you think I've been telling you what other's believe.

I don't mean that as an attack - I mean it sincerely.

  • OK, prove me wrong. Maybe I am.

What substantive comment have you offered?

  • The USA. A theocracy in the making.

  • what religion

Perhaps you should move to your theocracy - Russia - where they destroyed 1000s of churches and murdered millions of Christians.

  • Ain't nothing wrong with that, son!

  • Um...Star? Do you even READ the book you base your weird little life on? You might wanna check out Matthew 19:20-24. I'll give you a hint - "go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor".

Can someone tell me how ConChrists pervert this to NOT mean redistribution of wealth? Funny thing is that THREE out of the four gospels tell the exact same story. I guess Star hasn't really read the Bible, huh?

  • Snark,

Excuse me, but I don't think it said for me to sell all that YOU have and give it to the poor.

  • Hey, thanks for clearing that up for me! I was hoping some ConChrist would have the balls to actually contradict Christ's message.

JW - if christians (little c) did as Christ (big C) commanded then you wouldn't be engaged in semantic quibbling. You'd be doing it and urging others to do the same instead of voting for corporations to get richer and screw the poor even more than they are.

Or is it your choice to NOT follow Christ's teachings and still claim piety?

  • Now that made a lot of sense. ;0

I don't even know where to start with all those straw man claims. It seems you know far more about me than I will ever know myself. Perhaps it would be good to have you make all my decisions for me as good socialists always do.

By the way, how do you know I'm not poor?

  • There's no straw man argument here. Nice try. You're dancing around the issue that Jesus explicitly endorses giving ALL your money to the poor. A government that tells you to do that is following Jesus' word. Rather than celebrate this and wholeheartedly endorse that government as one that, at last, understands and implements Christ's message, you call it "socialist".

It's pathetic the hoops you'll jump through to turn Jesus into a free market capitalist.

  • BillyBob,

Do you even know what a straw man argument is?

Lets try one on you to see if it fits OK?

Billy, since you support terroism, and you are planning to bomb somebody, what makes you feel you are qualified to speak to the words that Jesus put forward?

Now I ask you, is that a logical statement?

Or is it full of straw men?

  • I guess I'm slow, too because I don't see any straw men. Christians are supposed to follow Christ. Instead, christians (little c) like Star find ingenious ways around His word.

Oh. I get it. I used the word "if" and that made it a conditional argument. Who's dodging the issue now?

How's this:christians claim they don't have to follow Christ's word if it comes from a govt. Yet they want to take over the govt so they can make it follow Christ's word...at least the ones the profitable ones.

  • This is quite popular I see.

So lets take a look, shall we?

The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position. This sort of "reasoning" has the following pattern:

    1. Person A has position X.

    2. Person B presents position Y (which is a distorted version of X).

    3. Person B attacks position Y.

    4. Therefore X is false/incorrect/flawed.

  • This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because attacking a distorted version of a position simply does not constitute an attack on the position itself. One might as well expect an attack on a poor drawing of a person to hurt the person.

Here are some of your examples:

    1. I am a Christian

While indeed I am. I did not state this.

  • 2. I find ingenious ways around His word.

I have to assume that you are not a Christ follower based on your comments. Correct me if I am wrong. In any case, I find it odd that Non-Christians seem to be such experts on what a Christian is supposed to be. Your statement says that I have intent to try and subvert what Christ has said. This would mean that you are telepathic and can read my mind.

  • 3. I am dodging issues.

Here I am friend. No dodge here.

    4. I claim that I dont have to follow Christs word if it comes from a government.

I didnt say that. But you just said that I did.

    5. I want to take over the government.

I didnt say that, but you claim that is my intent. Youll have to teach me how you do this mind reading thing.

  • 6. I want to take over the Government so I can make it follow Christs word.

I didnt say that, but you certainly did. Oh by the way, about 4 straw men back you said my intent was to subvert Christs word. Which is it?

    7. I only want to take over the profitable ones?

Not exactly sure what you meant there. But I cant seem to find that anywhere in my posts so far.

  • Snark,

I count 7 straw men in 1 post. Instead of trying to tell me what I believe, why dont you try telling me what you believe. I think that would be a lot more constructive.

  • AMEN TO THAT!! Jesus weren't no socialist he was a Christian!!

  • Many people feel socialism is an institutionalized form of Christianity.

  • A lot of people put lipstick on a pig but that don't make it right! Pigs ain't supposed to wear makeup. Y'all can't show me one place in the Bible where it says it's ok to do that. God don't like socialists. End of story!

  • LOL! Makeup on pigs. That is graphic. :-D

  • LOL! Makeup on pigs. That is graphic. :-D You actually know nothing about what God likes about socialism, especially democratic socialism. Nothing in the Bible talks about socialism. You cannot find the word in Biblical Hebrew or Greek.

  • WHACKO!

  • Many Christians want their children in public schools, so they can help bring Christianity to non-Christian students.

The media swim the sewer to destroy the Christian cause? Based on this lady's comments, she might be close to the sewer line herself.

These comments sound like cowardly faith to me.

  • this is an interesting sort of Christianity.

  • It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a wealthy man to pass through the Gates of Heaven.

  • Didn't the Son of Man scourge the moneylenders and drive them from the Temple? Was it not He who said "The poor will always be with us?"

I was hungry and You fed me.

I was captive and You visited me.

    Sackcloth and ashes.

  • Thus is revealed the heresy of the "Theology of Abundance" that these apostates represent.

  • is there some sort of required level of ignorance or psychosis to qualify someone like star parker to speak in public? her speech on cnn should never have happened in ammerica. i am ashamed of hpw low our democracy has fallen. she should logically be limited to drivel like the view...

  • Word up on that

  • Indoctrinated in an anti Christian world view? Since when did schools every do that? I help out in my kids class and I have never seen anything of the sort. Oh wait, that's right...they are educating kids, that must be the indoctrination against the willful ignorance of most fundies.

  • so true, plus working in public school for years i could say the indoctrination is overwhelmingly christian even where it is unconstitutional, prayer is forced and commandments are posted in classrooms in va, and skeptics are quickly disciplined.

  • fuck religion

  • Quit fuckin yourself

  • Good night! This person is abusing and bastardizing the Bible through gross misinterpretation. She obviously has problems with the ancient Biblical prophets and with Jesus, since they advocated helping the poor and disadvantaged. I gather Jesus did not tell the rich man to sell all he had and give it to the poor. That must be somebody else who said that, because Jesus was advocating redistributing wealth.

  • Was Jesus talking about the government stealing it from you? Or you giving it with your free will? There is a difference...One has freedom.

  • Did anyone ever encounter an "anti-Christian worldview" in school?? I didn't! I went to public school all my life, and I go to a public university. Teaching seems pretty neutral to me. I dunno wtf she's talking about.

It's laughable how these morons keep talking about how 'evil' public schools are, while they probably have never even stepped foot in one in over 20 years.

  • I actually hope the media does destroy their cause! These people are petty and arrogant. They are NOT real Christians. Jesus was the prince of peace, not the starter of wars. Jesus advocated helping the poor, not screwing them over by taking them off healthcare. Jesus advocated tolerance, not anti-gay bigotry. Some say that Mary Magdelene may well have been a whore, but Jesus took her in regardless.

  • The religion of state: Naturalism

"The cosmos is all that was, is or ever will be"

This is a belief. A religion that is underlying everything our children are taught. It has very definitive results.

All others are banned or relegated to myth.

  • Whys everyone picking on the poor right wing! LMAO! Whining bunch of assholes! Don't they have the big G.O.D. on their side? Why all the bitching they shouldn't have anything to worry about! Dumb Ass!

  • I like the way she says covetousness. It makes me laugh.

  • It's about giving the poor a chance at financial security, affordable health care, and so on. What the hell is wrong with that??? Your money's gonna be spent regardless, so you might as well invest in things that HELP people, right? Rather than a bloated military budget that just bombs people and "democratizes" the Middle East.

So it's wrong to spend money on the poor but perfectly fine to spend billions on more nukes? These people must be from another planet.

  • The fact that social programs are "redistribution of welath" is trivial! Who cares about the superficialities of it. The fact is, we're using tax dollars to help people, not hurt them. When is the Right gonna realize it doesn't matter who the source of the money for the social programs is??? It's about the CONTENT of the programs! That's what important.

I at least have to give credit to Mike Huckabee for supporting some social programs as governor of Arkansas.

  • Let's bomb the Middle East to oblivion rather than give money to public health. Oh yeah, that's REAL compassionate. That's "real" family values for ya. Or how about giving money to EXPAND the failed War on Drugs instead of increasing public health programs to rehabilitate drug addicts rather than locking them up?

These people are so fake. Conservatives were probably the students in school who just whined and whined and wanted all the attention. They were probably the popular kids.

  • The arrogant, selfish, "popular" kids, esp. the girls, oftentimes blonde (or at least that's the stereotype).

  • You know, when you really think about it, the Christian Right is actually Jewish. Think about it: they rely so heavily on the judgmental, ultraconservative Old Testament and believe in that kind of overly strict father figure of a God, rather than the more tolerant Jesus. In what way are they Christian?? This is absurd! They hardly ever refer to the Gospels. It's always some idiotic conservative verse in the OT.

Socialism is not covetousness. It's about giving financial security.

  • I don't see what the big deal with "socialism" is. So it's redistribution of wealth? So the fuck what? You're not "taking" anything from people that wouldn't be taken already. Hello!! It's called taxes. They're collected every FUCKING year!! It doesn't matter if the gov't spends it on defense or social programs. The money is still spent and collected. Unless taxes are raised, you pay the same. It's not "theft."

  • "The redistribtuion of wealth violates the word of scripture"

WHAT?! Holy Christmas, bringing the crazy - right wing, rich, selfish crazy - was right!

What an abhorrent person. Being a black woman, you'd think she'd be firmly against prejudice of any time. Nothing like religion to help screw up ones principles though.

  • She is indeed a revolting creature.

  • I'm baffled by the redistribution part of her speech. Wasn't Jesus the one that said to "sell all you have and distribute to the poor"?

    Jesus would bitch slap her!

  • I dont recall Jesus saying "take from your neighbor and give to the poor"

  • He didn't. But I love that passage about government bailouts, oh and corporate welfare.

Oh and about hating the gays. Cause we know how much the Christians looooove that passage that Jesus said. Wait...was that Jesus?

  • "He didn't. But I love that passage about government bailouts, oh and corporate welfare."

    Does one justify the other?

"Oh and about hating the gays. Cause we know how much the Christians looooove that passage that Jesus said. Wait...was that Jesus?"

Do Christians "hate" gays? Or is it OK with you to hate the deeds of some people?

Is hate owned by a politcal party, or is it a human problem? Seems to me there is plenty of it on this page!

  • Hate the deeds? Right. Love the hater, not the sin? Is that what you mean? Do you hate my deed of working on Saturday and Sunday just as much? Do you hate my deed of wearing mixed-fabric clothing too? Do you hate my deed of cutting my hair as well? Or is it just the gay thing that bothers you?

    Yeah, it's all in there.

  • Many Christians only want to apply the Old Testament law to others. They do not want people killed who work on the Biblical Sabbath, because they work on Saturday. They do not want rebellious youth killed, because they were rebellious when young, and have rebellious kids. Those same people, however, support hatred and encourage hatred of gay and bisexual people.

  • "Those same people, however, support hatred and encourage hatred of gay and bisexual people."

First a straw man argument "Those people support hatred" Then the pot calling the kettle black. I can really feel the love on this page.

    Is homosexuallity a good thing?

    Please tell me why?

  • Tell me why you think I promote hate when I point out that many churches are promoting hatred against gay people. I do not hate Christians, gay people, or straight people. I am pointing out the facts that come from clips of sermons and homophobic rants.

  • Love is a good thing. It's biblical.

  • The part about rendering unto Caesar. And we all know what Caesar does with it.

  • "The part about rendering unto Caesar. And we all know what Caesar does with it."

This is not an accurate analogy. Christians in Jesus time did not have the vote, nor the freedoms that we enjoy today. If they had the opportunity of self governance as we have today, would they have voted for all of the immmorality that is currently destroying our society? I think not.

  • There is a difference between voting and screaming and yelling irrational and angry comments. I've heard some of that going on. The unfortunate reality is that there is immorality in the church too. It is everywhere. We need to vote on the basis of public policy, not on the basis of who is sleeping with whom.

  • garysdeskcom

    please define morality

  • I don't think you need a definition given my previous post. Every church system has people who lie, cheat, steal, engage in extramarital and premarital sex. The reality is that churches have the same problems every school and every political party has. Nobody is innocent of making mistakes. We need to stop being vicious moral watchdogs over sexual moral issues in government, and start focusing more on the real issues - the political platforms.

  • "I don't think you need a definition given my previous post."

I think you evade the question.

Why is it immoral to "lie, cheat, steal, engage in extramarital and premarital sex"? By what authority do you deem these things immoral?

Again, how do you define morality?

  • Stop asking questions. If you have a point, make it. If not, drop it.

  • Whats the problem? Don't have an answer?

  • Either you are capable of making a point or you are not. Obviously, you are not capable of making your point.

  • The question is simple. You refuse to answer. It is relevant to the claims that you are making and you know it. Refusing to answer is your perogative, but the silence is deafening.

    How do you define morality?

  • You refuse to make a point. Your point is likely very simple. You know where you want to go with your line of logic, but you refuse to do that. Your silence of intelligent discussion is deafening. Get to your point.

Your questions are irrelevant without a point. You do not make a point, therefore you are irrelevant.

  • garysdeskcom,

Thank you for sharing with us all the basis for your claims on morality.

As we can all see, your refusal to offer a simple answer to a simple question has shown your inability to back up the rhetoric you have used.

  • You are just playing games. That is obvious. You know the ;answers darn well. You are playing games. When you want to get serious and start discussing things, I am prepared to respond. You can make your point without resorting to an inquisition to learn what you already know. You are incompetent at expressing your views, if you can only do so through questions.

  • garysdeskcom,

    This is becoming comical.

If you refuse to answer the simple question, I will answer it for you. You have no basis for morality and this is why you have played cat and mouse in answering this very basic question.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

  • Make your point. Make your point. You still have not made your point. Keep going.

  • garysdeskcom,

Well, if nothing else, you are persistant.

I believe I have made my point. While you have railed about immorality, right, wrong, etc. You have not given any basis for your position. This is not unusual. Thank you for enlightening us.

  • I didn't rail against immorality. You are very sensitive about immorality. My point was the opposite. The point I was trying to make is that situations most people consider immoral are present in all areas of society-church included. We should not get bent out of shape over schools being evil, when churches have exactly the same problems public schools have. If anything, that is a voice of support for those who do not like to hear people screaming about immorality.

  • garysdeskcom,

I will agree with you that no one can say they are righteous. I wanted to call you to task for the logical fallacy that I call "my brothers rooms not clean" tactic. One immorality does not justify the other. Furthermore, and to the point of my question to you, how do you determine morality in the first place? How can you say your brothers room is not clean if you cannot define clean in the first place.

  • Read The God Delusion for an accurate secular definition of morality. Morality certainly does not come from a religion that advocates murdering a woman if she isn't a virgin when you marry her, offering your daughter up for gang rape to protect an 'angel' or murdering every member of a settlement if they happen to pray to a different god to you. Nor does morality come from a God who tells humanity how proud he is to be petty, jealous, unjust and viscious.

  • mw2000,

How about instead of someone else telling me what is or isn't moral, why don't you give it a try. How do you define morality?

  • I'll answer your "Morality" question if you will acknowledge the results of the PEW report.

Stop only thinking about your own country. The U.S. is the exception in this study. If you had looked at EVERY OTHER COUNTRY on the graph you would have noticed a consistent pattern.

The most developed countries in the world are the most non-religious ones.

    Admit it.

  • plimbluff,

The morality question was directed to mw2000.

Perhaps I did miss the point. Did you see some point that I did not? I assume all religions are the same in you view, but they definitly propose very different things. The thing that I take from the study is that America is exceptional.

  • Since you asked, YES YOU MISSED THE POINT AGAIN.

I clearly explained the point in my last post.

    You are just playing dumb.

And now I've lost respect for you.

  • The most developed countries in the world are the most non-religious ones.

    Admit it.

  • So you'll hear what plimbuff or I have to say about morals, but not Dawkins? You're cherry picking based on arguments you think you can win.

But anyway; being good to other people, not doing to others what wouldn't done to yourself, not judging or discriminating against people based on their ethnicity, sexuality, gender, physical ability, beliefs or opinions, being faithful to your friends and family, & always trying to avoid violence using words and knowledge.

    That's my morality.
