Wow.. this is hillarious in retrospect.. Especially considering everything that has come out about Palin and what happened behind closed doors between her and McCains campaign..
Sarah Palin has not kicked ass in alaska nor anywhere else. She had nearly 10 times as much money per person earmarked for alaska compared to what obama had asked for. And the "bridge to nowhere she turned down"..ya know the one she said thanks but no thanks too...she supported it untill people got pissed. But because she's so responsible, she did keep all the money.
Palin as the VP for McCain is so suspicious, I mean what if she drops out later on, or is made to drop out by her own party (read between the lines) later on. Then the Republicans would have had at least a female on the ticket and the sympathy if she "dropped out." If I was Palin I'd watch my back
The closest thing she has to foreign policy experience is that she once negotiated a treaty with some Eskimos that put a quota on the number of baby seals they could kill using a club...however using a gun it was unlimited
Obama has no foreign policy chops either. The world leaders fawn over him because a) hes not Bush and b) he is promising them our money. See Global Poverty Act for details..
I can say the same about Obama. He's got a ton of radical friends, I don't see him standing up to world leaders, sure he may have the intellect but does he have the resolve, and the chances of him increasing the size of government: 100%. With McCain/Palin, maybe 90%. Again - we are voting for the lesser of two evils.
Republicans claim that Democrats raise taxes and increase government. It's their standard talking point.
The fact is Reagan tripled our national debt. Bush Sr. pledged 'no new taxes' and then raised taxes (and added another trillion to the debt). Bush Jr. increased gov't by 120,000employees, almost tripled the national debt, and doubled the budget deficit.
Republicans have a proven track record of fiscal mis-management.
Wow THINKfutureShow....you may be opening your eyes!!! Did you say the "lesser of two evils?" This is so much more genuine, I wish more people could point out the obvious wrongs in their parties rather than ALWAYS being on the"oh yeah...well your guy is..."defensive mode all the time. This country is in deep doo and we need to come together to recognize the garbage they're ALL throwing at us. Let hold'em all accountable instead on hanging on to the ONE good thing they do. God Bless!
Uh, yeah. We've had the lesser of two evils ever since someone said "hang on a sec, WE (as in the government) can do a better job of X than the people can." The government can never do as good a job as the free market. IF Palin can steer this train wreck of an administration towards less intervention in free markets, great. But I doubt it. More likely she will be subsumed in the whole neo-con con job. And a few less than observant folks will be sucked in as well. I say - watch out.
Man, for a guy that claims to know everything about Sarah Palin and claims to be so conservative, the fact she secured $27,000,000 in earmarks for a community of 6,700 either escaped you, you don't understand what that means, or you're a total liar.
So name one think have she done for her state you and every body knows that the only reason McCain choose her is because she's a Woman and they think she can get them Hills voters. the man only mate her once for 15min. Come on there just sending a vet team to Alaska afteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer they choosed her for the ticket
It's too bad McCain isn't as excited about Palin as THINKfutureShow seems to be - McCain wanted Lieberman as the VP but the party said 'hell no'. Rove wanted him to choose Romney - McCain said 'hell no', and so they settled for Palin.
McCain really didn't have much of a choice. If he wanted a woman, he had to choose from outside the beltway. Any Republican woman already in federal office would immediately be associated with Bush.
Once again, we're stuck with the better of bad choices.
In politics in this country being Mormom or jeohovah witness is worse than being black or asian or any other non white race. America will vote first for a half Black with muslim name than a mormom
Uh, no they don't. I am not saying we should be prejudiced against them, but don't think they are the same. I don't think they think there is no difference.
Matters for what? I am saying they are different, which they would more than agree with. Being different is not bad. Brad Pitt is probably pretty different from you and that is likely a good thing.
I don't think race is as big an issue in this campaign, as the race card dealers would like us to think. Yeah there are racist idiots among us, but people have been very open to the concept and as much as I dislike the man, the current DNC and his cult followers, I am very pleased at the push this all has given to move us further away from racism.
cont'd. and now Palin announces her 17 year old unmarried daughter is pregnant. Well I guess Palin's "abstinence only" position on education did'nt sink in so well at home!
I am not slamming her daughter, God Bless her and there but for the grace of God...could've been me or God forbid my daughter, but come on between Cheney's Gay daughter, Bush's nutty & not too bright offspring, and not this...WHICH PARTY IS THE FAMILY VALUES PARTY?? No one is perfect, so I suggest the R's shut the stink up
Amazing. If she were on the Democrat ticket the daughter would hailed! Why is it that Republicans have to be oh so straight and narrow and Democrats can do whatever the hell they want and it doesn't matter. Even GOP kids make mistakes - I can bet she isn't going to abort it though.
THINKfutureShow....are you related to Elizabeth Hassebeck by any chance?? Just wondering...you seem to think (as Ms Hasselbeck does)that if you critize a Republican you must be a far left liberal whacko...there apparently is no in between. I am a working woman w/children & married to the "same" man for 25 YEARS...I am also a registered REPUBLICAN only I believe in "authentic" Republican values not the neocon facists who have profited from us all, the Dems are imposters too..OPEN YOUR EYES!!
I completely agree with true Goldwater conservative values. Like I said before the only thing that is slightly interesting to me about Sarah Palin is any inkling of fiscal responsibility. IF she truly has any. Outside of that, she is a standard issue neo-con, I agree.
Apparently, there are a few people who are "confused" by my earlier comments when I question how Palin can pull off the VP slot with 5 kids, 1 being a 2 month old disabled child, when Obama has 2 and "why didn't I question Obama?" I am NOT supporting Obama either but, he has only 2 not 5 and NO INFANTS AND NO DISABLED CHILDREN. BIG, BIG, HUGE, GINORMOUS DIFFERENCE. Do infants require way more care & attention? Do disabled children? to be cont'd.
Palin will be the trump card that hand it to McCain on a silver platter. Palin is GOD's CHOSEN ONE because GOD HERSELF see to it that a woman will become VP and later President long before an African American becomes president. Palin will fulfill GOD's word and will because GOD herself said so.
McCain will unfortunately croak and Palin will inevitably be THE 1st woman president. Even Hillary will not be able to win against Palin in 2012. GOD will see to it that it happens.
So true Grub - petrified is more like it - I almost think they are more freaked out that the spotlight isn't on the Savior anymore. Aww too bad. BTW, Obama's "corontation" speech was one of the worst speeches I ever heard him make - could have been any of the "Parade Of Losers" speaking up there Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Kennedy blah blah blah...
Let me ask you something. Do you run a business? Do you pay taxes? Are you helping the economy by creating jobs and value, or are you sucking off the teat of society? Just wondering...
This whole decision is VERY INTERESTING. On one hand it brings younger perspective, Palin also APPEARS (havn't had time to research yet) to have done some good things in AK. But....mother of 5....just had a down syndrome baby 2 "MONTHS" ago!!! I don't get it...where are your strong family value now?? I am a working mother of 2 and I barely have time for them, how are you going to care for your BIG family and disabled NEWBORN...hmmmmm, so much for those Republican FAMILY FIRST VALUES!!!!!!!
"I am a working mother of 2 and I barely have time for them, how are you going to care for your BIG family and disabled NEWBORN...hmmmmm, so much for those Republican FAMILY FIRST VALUES!!!!!!!"
Am I missing something here? Doesn't Obama have young kids as well? I suppose you think he should drop out as well. Of course he doesn't have a child with Down Syndrome though, just Google 'Obama' and 'comfort room' to see his stance on born disabled babies.
and by the way she was for the bridge to nowhere before she was against it..she doesn't care if you get raped by a stranger, incest ;no abortion...i am so pissed about this pick..to even compared the 2 is amazing how gullible people are
you can talk all u want about executive experience but remember, you are talking about Alaska. more that Half of their budget is funded through oil....we don't need a cancer survivor lookin into someones soul before he makes a pick, i mean use your head, that's how iraq got started, shotting from the hips..r u guys really gonna vote for someone just because of just one issue...because she is conservative..there comes a time when u see things for what it is and that's a gimmick
Right now, we have the choice of the lesser of two evils - and BHO seems a lot more evil to me than McCain/Palin. Bu we will have to see if they really truly are fiscal conservatives. BHO is definitely NOT.
am so confused about your logic. i seriously hate double standards. Answer all my questions posted. You r an extreme right wing. I think you should read more about this lady
I'm as far from extreme right wing as you can get. I want a fiscal conservative who can live with social freedoms and limit the size and scope of government. In truth, neither McCain or Obama do that, but Obama is most definitely NOT a fiscal conservative. There are reports that Palin MAY be - that is the ONLY reason she is at all interesting to me. I don't think McCain hired her because she is a woman, he hired her cause she kicked ass in her OWN party. Obama NEVER kicked ass in his own party.
She lied about the bridge. she didn't kill it, it was killed by congress but she still got the pork money. The republicans have been in charge and yes they are corrupt. I mean, she has no experience in foreign policy. The world doesn't need someone(mccain) who shoots from the hips. We don't look in someones eyes and see a soul. We use our brains. Its Bush all over again.
McCain just might live to seriously regret this choice. Sure she's a woman, but if he thinks he's going to win over the Clinton supporters, that will never happen. If he thinks he's going to get the female Independent vote, just wait until they look at her record and her position on issues, especially on abortion and the environment.
The Republicans rail against Obama's 'lack of experience', yet they applaud someone who has ZERO federal gov't experience. Weird.
She is way right of conservative. We do not need an evangelical vp or pres. Beside Mac said on fox today that she is his SOULMATE and he's married to one of the richest woman in the word did you see him checking her ass out during her speech in front of his wife. SHAMELESS. /watch?v=ApkRgImNDuU
I agree. I am pumped up with the republican ticket. Democrats better be shaking in their boots....Lord Obama isnt so special now is he. Obama counted on hype...but now. its allllllllll gone. The hype is on the republican side. I am proud of the republican campaign!!!! They are a smart group. Go McCain!!!
Google Chicago gays to see what his local LGBT community has to say about he is NOT supportive. I know he refused to even be photographed with Gavin Newsom after he allowed gays to marry in San Francisco. He only pretends to tolerate gays for our votes.
This is all smoke and mirrors. Who is McCain trying to appeal to with this choice? Disillusioned Hilary votes? They're going to say "no thanks" when they find out she's anti-abortion even in the case of rape/saving the mother's life. McCain's best argument for Obama was lack of experience and he went and shot himself in the foot by choosing someone less experienced. Plus, Palin is a creationist. So whatever logical fence voters there were are gone too. McCain's in trouble.
Did you watch the video? He didn't pick her cause she was young and female, he picked her cause she KICKED ass. Listen to my audio show #662 on this if you want more detail.
I did watch the video. I stopped watching it when I saw you were actually fellating McCain's choice. Even the reasonable conservatives I've spoken to can see right through the shameless pandering and are actually quite upset. Not only are their more qualified conservatives...but there are more qualified conservative females.
Geezus. All I said in the video if you listen carefully is that this makes things interesting. Personally, they can all talk the talk (remember the Bush "ownership society" bullcrap?) but no one can really deliver us to a place where the people, not the government, are RESPONSIBLE. Obama definitely won't do it, (0% chance), McCain may do it (10% chance). Not much difference between them when it comes to economic conservatism and limiting the size and scope of government.
I can live with that. Even more interesting are the incessant scandals you're hearing about since Palin was announced. The Trooper thing...the pregnancy thing...the Ted Stevens thing...the bridge thing. Did anyone look into this woman's past? She's barely been in politics and she has all this baggage. Terrible move by McCain.
It was a terrible move. But he needed the evangelicals back. MY guess is that she isn't REALLY a fiscal conservative - none of them are - R or D - and they are going to ride the FICTION that they are for smaller government and more personal responsibility since they fed us that crap in 2004.
Doesn't need to wash with you. For my vote, it needs to wash with me. I can't believe anything Obama says (FISA). I want someone I think has heart for the people. Obama is as cold a fish as they come. He blew off all the older white women in the party, including the best person - Hillary. Showing a cold heart and a weak brain.
Yes. Just bellow FISA from the rooftops. Obama could have made a stand there. But look at what he did. That vote alone could have sealed my vote against him, if I were voting for him in the first place.
Oh sure.....nevermind the issues. Let's all just vote for the MILF. So any guesses on how long it takes before McLame calls her a c*nt....that seems to be his opinion of women in general......
If you want to talk issue lets: your man Obama is a pure giant government liberal. Every problem can be fixed by a larger and more omnipotent government. That's his WHOLE plan. We are from the government and he are here to "help". At least Palin vetoed over 300 pork barrel projects, some say.
I'll agree that for all the Republican's talk about reducing the size of government and fiscal conservatism, they have acted in the exact opposite manner.
That's good. I didn't realized Hilary supporters were so bitter and ignorant that they vote based on a vagina without considering the fact that Palin is the polar opposite of just about anything Hilary supports.
I'm not getting what you're, umm, getting at here. I mean, Hillary and Bill were given prime, prime, prime time at the DNC, he's gone out of his way to praise her. And what's this cold heart thing about with Obama? Do you have, like, links and such and proof that he, umm, has a cold heart and a weak brain?
The weak brain was the poster I was writing to here, but have not been impressed with Obama's brain. I need to write a book to cover all of his cold heartedness, but a recent example was not picking her as his running mate, though that is also his pride - as he was willing to lose the election for his pride. His pride probably has his heart completely blocked.
You're right there is a post where I refer to his weak brain, I think I also said that to a poster. Yes not picking her is still the most recent example, but every time I see him I am struck more by his cold, arrogant heart than anything else. Maybe I'm psychic, but don't think you need to be to see it. Heck people are making posters of it.
Nope that seems to be the American voter in general. Whatever happened to forming your own opinion on a variety of issues and voting based on that? Gotta love this two party system that gives the voters the mere ILLUSION of choice......LOL
Hear hear! It IS the illusion of choice. There's no difference between the parties when it comes to spending our money. But they seem to have no issue with curtailing our freedoms.
r u serious....u right wing fuck....obamanation is a joke...a fuckin cancer survivor in charge with an unqualified person...serious min what r u smokin...game changer my ass...
he has foreign policy experience..she has none...her education in world affairs is even limited to a soccer mom. her education as a whole is not even close...come on...whats with the Marxist name calling...BO has been to Moscow,Kiev,Baku,Azerbaijan,Qatar,Kuwait,Iraq,Jordan,Israel, south Africa ,Congo, chad,Kenya and Djibouti..even before he traveled during the general...if this old man dies can u really picture her standing up to Putin
r u f-in kiddin me..Bo has far more experience and accomplishments. A 1 1/2 year governor of Alaska(Alaska)do u really need any experience for that.she majored in journalism(a f-in news reporter runnin the country). Oh my god somebody help US. plus no foreign policy experience at all. Even BO campaign is more sophisticated and complex then being governor of Alaska. Is McCain on some Evangelical drugs or something.
Really? Remember before Chris Matthews bought into the whole Obama As Savior bullcrap - when he point blank asked about Obama's accomplishments he had NO ANSWER? - At least Palin seems to have bucked her party and done something about cost-cutting.
So what is Palin's experience again?? Running the great political hotbed state of Alaska. Hmmmm....a state of about 600,000 people (in the summer) with no real industry other than oil, gold and a dwindling fish supply.
And even more frightening, once McWar dies from his inevitable heart attack about 9 months into his first term, you've got an even bigger backwater hick than Bush with the finger on the button....and PMS to boot....LOL
WRONG. Palin serves those religious, anti abortion, anti-gay nutballs who are quickly taking over America. And Biden serves Israel HOW exactly....got any actual links to back that up......or just pulling nonsense out of your donkey ass again.....
Yeah, but the experience she does have would actually make her grossly overqualified to be the 'Democratic' presidential nominee. Obama has never done anything.
Mayor of a little nothing town in Alaska is considered experience now?? And her record as Governor for a year and a half isn't really anything to gloat about either (especially that crap she pulled to get her ex brother-in-law fired....simply childish).
Besides, what exactly is there in Alaska other than a bunch of natural resources and a shitload of snow eight months a year....big job to manage THAT I'm sure....;-)
Nope...this could be good.....McLame clutching his chest during his first state of the union address should be pretty entertaining.....followed by the sudden fall back to earth, as everyone realizes that the know-nothing eskimo is now in charge.....
This has to be the weakest ticket the Repuglicans have EVER fielded in an election. Any bets if McLame makes it till election day.....LOL
Yeah, the junior senator may still get to skip the whole senior senator. Just because he is still supervised by a senior senator is no reason he can't be the leader of the most powerful nation in the world. Just look at DWTS. Those people didn't know how to dance before either.
re u comfortable with palin? be serious palin koolaid drinker. shes a heartbeat away from the president. I wd think that given mccains health u guys wd be worried. Oh no how wrong was i. All u fking fraud conservatives care about is getting votes, our national security doesnt matter. its just another chess game to u all isnt it? i dont want a soccer mom running this country if mccain dies in office. Energize ur base all u want, even have mccain pick jenna jameson for vp its not going to work.
And I'm tired of both parties foisting even more and more debt and more and more social programs and more and more taxes. Where is the fiscal conservative in this race? If its not Sarah Palin, then who is it??
Also, Obama Nation was written by a white supremacist. Amazing that a book by a white supremacist can sell so many copies, but anyway. Just google Jerome Corsi, white supremacist. There's a number of articles about it from a number of reputable news sites.
Yes, of course. Every anti-Obama person is a racist. Blah. Blah. Blah. I think it will be a damn shame if Obama loses this election due to his race - he should lose this election due to his same-old, same old-Democratic and anti-free market policies.
So you didn't even bother looking it up? It takes two seconds, dude. It seriously disturbs me that it doesn't even seem to bother you that Jerome Corsi has ties to white supremacism. He appeared as a guest on a white supremacist radio show. It would be ridiculous to say that everyone that is anti-obama is racist. It just so happens that Jerome Corsi IS racist. Google 'Obama Nation' and 'white supremacist'.
Did you delete my response?? I would never suggest that everyone that is anti-Obama is racist, that would be ridiculous. But it just so happens that Jerome Corsi IS racist. Google it. Google "Obama Nation" "white supremacist". It disturbs me that it seems you don't even care.
No ever did. Like I said before - I don't care if a politician is male, female, white, black, tall, short, christian, muslim as long as HE/SHE can lead the government down a fiscally conservative, socially liberal path. If they can roll back the size of government, then that have my vote. Obama is not interested in that. In fact, his acceptance speech was SAME OLD LIBERAL big govt saves you crap we have been hearing since the dawn of Marx.
Yes. All the mentions are on leftist websites. So, once again, partisanship overshadows truth. BTW, didn't Corsi also do the hit piece on John Kerry? Last I looked, Kerry WAS white...
Now I know that you didn't look it up. Jerome Corsi was a special guest on a white supremacist radio show. It's a fact. Are you honestly saying that a racist wouldn't also bash a white guy? Especially considering the hatred most white supremacists have for liberals?
Red herring. Are the "facts" that Corsi or Freddosso come up with "facts" or not. Did Obama throw Alice Palmer off the ticket? Did his two other challengers have an untimely divorce revelation just before their elections? Labeling someone a racist doesn't make them a liar. Where is the corroborating evidence that these things DID NOT happen?
Palin is extremely right wing. Let's see, anti-abortion even in the case of rape, part of a conservative 'feminist' group that is against contraception even in marriage, she wants creationism taught in science classes in schools, NRA member, wants to remove polar bears from endangered species list, and she wants to drill for oil in Alaskan wildlife reserves. Ultra right wing christians have had too much of a hold of the US over the last eight years. Palin is bad news.
There's being right-wing, and forcing people to share your beliefs - as far as I know she's not interested in forcing her beliefs on the American People. That's called tolerance, and it seems in short supply among Obama-ites.
There is no reason to believe that Palin won't be part of the same Christian right wing elite that has been trying to shove their morals down peoples throats the last eight years by taking measures to take away non-abstinance sex education, abortion, and contraception.
Which 'lefty' voters are you talking about? I know many Democrats, a lot of them were Hillary supporters, and they wouldn't vote for Palin if she were the only candidate running.
Obama is so bad, he's leading in the polls and draws record crowds everywhere he goes. Obama's biggest crowd in the U.S.? 80,000. Mccain's? 5,000.
Obama has also drawn record individual contributions and has raised more money than any U.S. Presidential candidate in history.
Well I guess you don't know the 26% of the Democratic party that is not behind Obama. We do tend to know people who think like we do. You do read the paper and check online. Surely you are aware there is an issue? He is not leading on all the polls and has a slim lead on others. It is not hard to have great contributions when you a wall street pawn.
The polls change daily and go up and down, but they are never far apart and now McCain sometimes leads in various polls, which is new and a down turn for Obama.
Mayoral performance. Palin, who portrays herself as a fiscal conservative, racked up nearly $20 million in long-term debt as mayor of the tiny town of Wasilla — that amounts to $3,000 per resident. She argues that the debt was needed to fund improvements. The environment. As governor, Palin vetoed wind power and clean coal projects, including a 50-megawatt wind farm on Fire Island and a clean coal facility in Healy that had been mired in a dispute between local and state governments.
If you're looking for alternative energy (which I think most of the country is realising we need) Palin isn't the best choice. And she used to be for the bridge to nowhere, she flip flopped on that one.
2000pounds - So by your logic the fact that McCain is a 26 year Washington insider is a HUGE negative. Way to make your point, Swifty.
By the way, you can't call her a Maverick. McSame already laid claim to that term. At least he did until he flipped on his issues and sold his integrity for a chance to run for President.
Why did she lie about not supporting the bridge to nowhere when she in fact did?
Why did McCain try to goad Obama into going to Iraq because it was so important traveling abroad when Palin has been out of the country TWICE (once to Ireland?)
why is she already preembroiled in an ethics scandal even though she is supposed to be a reformer/maverick?
Some stirring endorsements from her home state-
house speaker of Alaska (a republican):
"She's old enough," Harris said "She's a U.S. citizen."
As a true reformer, I'd expect her to be embroiled in scandal. I'm not surprised that the GOP in Alaska aren't to happy with her - she tossed out those bums.
my my. The Obama supporters are out in full force today. Too bad she isn't divorced so that the Obama camp can release her divorce details just before her election, ala Jack Ryan & Blair Hull. Are you petrified of a fiscal conservative putting a stop to all your boondoggle social programs??
No, the country is afraid that McSame will win, have a heart attack and die, and a second-rate governor of a barely populated, isolated state who has no experience and is further to the right than Karl Rove will sit in the oval office.
Actually the world is afraid of the same thing.
Not that it matters, McCain just lost the election by choosing her anyway.
LOL Fiscal conservative... you mean the one that couldn't even balance the budget of a 6000 person town? She came into Wasila with ZERO debt and left it mired in millions of debt.
Fiscal conservate that so-called refused earmarks but hired a lobbyist to get millions for Wasila? The so called fighter AGAINST the Bridge to nowhere, yet she campaigned in support of it? haha right. Fiscal conservative.
Hey don't knock Alaska - its practically Canada, without the whiny socialists. Seriously: it's probably the last place in the US where rugged individualism is prized.
Wow.. this is hillarious in retrospect.. Especially considering everything that has come out about Palin and what happened behind closed doors between her and McCains campaign..

Look at Obama's positions on the Iraq war vs. McCain, and it's all the proof you need on who has the judgement to deal with foreign issues.
McCain flat out refuses to yield on withdrawing from Iraq, even though Bush has now announced a timeline to withdraw.
McCain supported the war in the first place, Obama opposed it from the start. 70% of Americans oppose the war.
McCain can't keep facts straight, including the timeline of the surge in Iraq or Iran training al-qaeda terrorists.

-Did she kill the Bridge which Obama voted for?
-Did she kick out corruption in her party?
-Did she cut boondoggle programs?
or more importantly:
-Will she be able to stamp out corruption in the GOP, cut boondoggle spending and actually possibly reduce the size of government someday? Possibly??
THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
What are you basing this on? She has so little to reference that your questions appear more as guesswork than anything else.
By the same token, you could ask this:
-Will she be caught in a scandal?
-Will she be able to stand up to world leaders?
-Does she have the intellect and resolve to act as VP and possibly President?
-Will she do as Bush did and increase the size of the federal government?
None of us know. She has no experience in this area.
psatm 3 years ago
I can say the same about Obama. He's got a ton of radical friends, I don't see him standing up to world leaders, sure he may have the intellect but does he have the resolve, and the chances of him increasing the size of government: 100%. With McCain/Palin, maybe 90%. Again - we are voting for the lesser of two evils.
THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
I would call McCain's friends fiscally radical.
Republicans have a proven track record of fiscal mis-management.
psatm 3 years ago
Wow THINKfutureShow....you may be opening your eyes!!! Did you say the "lesser of two evils?" This is so much more genuine, I wish more people could point out the obvious wrongs in their parties rather than ALWAYS being on the"oh yeah...well your guy is..."defensive mode all the time.

No one is perfect, so I suggest the R's shut the stink up
chelmattmom 3 years ago
Amazing. If she were on the Democrat ticket the daughter would hailed! Why is it that Republicans have to be oh so straight and narrow and Democrats can do whatever the hell they want and it doesn't matter. Even GOP kids make mistakes - I can bet she isn't going to abort it though.

chelmattmom 3 years ago

THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
I did watch the video. I stopped watching it when I saw you were actually fellating McCain's choice. Even the reasonable conservatives I've spoken to can see right through the shameless pandering and are actually quite upset. Not only are their more qualified conservatives...but there are more qualified conservative females.
d1rtejerz 3 years ago
THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
I can live with that. Even more interesting are the incessant scandals you're hearing about since Palin was announced. The Trooper thing...the pregnancy thing...the Ted Stevens thing...the bridge thing. Did anyone look into this woman's past? She's barely been in politics and she has all this baggage. Terrible move by McCain.
d1rtejerz 3 years ago
It was a terrible move. But he needed the evangelicals back. MY guess is that she isn't REALLY a fiscal conservative - none of them are - R or D - and they are going to ride the FICTION that they are for smaller government and more personal responsibility since they fed us that crap in 2004.

If you want to talk issue lets: your man Obama is a pure giant government liberal. Every problem can be fixed by a larger and more omnipotent government. That's his WHOLE plan. We are from the government and he are here to "help". At least Palin vetoed over 300 pork barrel projects, some say.
THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
Stop with the koolaid talk and give specific examples, otherwise this is just a waste of time.
Republicans talk about small government, yet they are equally responsible and active in pork projects, i.e. Steven's Bridge to Nowhere.
I've posted on the Republican record of increased taxes, spending and size of government.
Until Republicans actually REDUCE the federal debt, budget deficit, federal contracts and pork spending, you need to leave this out of your debate.
psatm 3 years ago
Let's agree on that: neither the Republicans or the Democrats are interested in reducing the size and scope of government. That is TRUTH.

HisRoyalFastness 3 years ago
The weak brain was the poster I was writing to here, but have not been impressed with Obama's brain. I need to write a book to cover all of his cold heartedness, but a recent example was not picking her as his running mate, though that is also his pride - as he was willing to lose the election for his pride. His pride probably has his heart completely blocked.
nonst8 3 years ago
You're right there is a post where I refer to his weak brain, I think I also said that to a poster. Yes not picking her is still the most recent example, but every time I see him I am struck more by his cold, arrogant heart than anything else. Maybe I'm psychic, but don't think you need to be to see it. Heck people are making posters of it.

kainedamo 3 years ago
Yes, of course. Every anti-Obama person is a racist. Blah. Blah. Blah. I think it will be a damn shame if Obama loses this election due to his race - he should lose this election due to his same-old, same old-Democratic and anti-free market policies.
THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
So you didn't even bother looking it up? It takes two seconds, dude. It seriously disturbs me that it doesn't even seem to bother you that Jerome Corsi has ties to white supremacism. Google 'Obama Nation' and 'white supremacist'.
kainedamo 3 years ago

kainedamo 3 years ago
No ever did. Like I said before - I don't care if a politician is male, female, white, black, tall, short, christian, muslim as long as HE/SHE can lead the government down a fiscally conservative, socially liberal path. If they can roll back the size of government, then that have my vote. Obama is not interested in that. In fact, his acceptance speech was SAME OLD LIBERAL big govt saves you crap we have been hearing since the dawn of Marx.

THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
Now I know that you didn't look it up. Jerome Corsi was a special guest on a white supremacist radio show. It's a fact. Are you honestly saying that a racist wouldn't also bash a white guy? Especially considering the hatred most white supremacists have for liberals?
kainedamo 3 years ago
Red herring. Are the "facts" that Corsi or Freddosso come up with "facts" or not. Did Obama throw Alice Palmer off the ticket? Did his two other challengers have an untimely divorce revelation just before their elections? Labeling someone a racist doesn't make them a liar. Where is the corroborating evidence that these things DID NOT happen?
THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
Palin is extremely right wing. Let's see, anti-abortion even in the case of rape, part of a conservative 'feminist' group that is against contraception even in marriage, she wants creationism taught in science classes in schools, NRA member, wants to remove polar bears from endangered species list, and she wants to drill for oil in Alaskan wildlife reserves. Ultra right wing christians have had too much of a hold of the US over the last eight years. Palin is bad news.
kainedamo 3 years ago
There's being right-wing, and forcing people to share your beliefs - as far as I know she's not interested in forcing her beliefs on the American People. That's called tolerance, and it seems in short supply among Obama-ites.
THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
There is no reason to believe that Palin won't be part of the same Christian right wing elite that has been trying to shove their morals down peoples throats the last eight years by taking measures to take away non-abstinance sex education, abortion, and contraception.

Yeah, I'd rather have a candidate that hates older women.

Palin is a maverick reformer who is independant and strong. The fact she's not a washington insider is a HUGE plus.

Bad choice...should have picked Paris.

I'm not surprised that the GOP in Alaska aren't to happy with her - she tossed out those bums.

can you tell me what she reformed? was the local hockey rink in wasila ripping patrons off at the concession stand?

my my. The Obama supporters are out in full force today. Too bad she isn't divorced so that the Obama camp can release her divorce details just before her election, ala Jack Ryan & Blair Hull. Are you petrified of a fiscal conservative putting a stop to all your boondoggle social programs??
THINKfutureShow 3 years ago
No, the country is afraid that McSame will win, have a heart attack and die, and a second-rate governor of a barely populated, isolated state who has no experience and is further to the right than Karl Rove will sit in the oval office.
Actually the world is afraid of the same thing.
Not that it matters, McCain just lost the election by choosing her anyway.

You never know. She could be the next Margaret Thatcher, if she's as tough as they say.

The Remember in November crowd beg to differ.

Alaska LOL
Isn't Mike Gravel the Senator of Alaska.
Oh well that's all I need to know.
Oh and she is still trying to figure out what a Vice President does.
