Actually i think it's fine if you made something which is similar to other youtube cooking gurus^^ it's better that viewers have more reference to refer to cause you may have ideas that others don't have and other's may have put something in the cake that you didnt add... I saw the CWD Christmas Cake video before yours, she is very talented. I also enjoyed watching your super quick style video. It kind of helps inspire me to try it. CWD always makes things look super good and easy. As well as you do but I will admit my creations never look as good as hers. after reading all these comments below, comparing both videos (CWD & Runny) for me CWD is a complete steps while runny's video is a shorter versions of it. For the beginner CWD may look harder but their presentations is what count. Considering the facts if i didnt watch CWD and watch runny's first, i dont even know what he's doing, what ingredients? I like both anyway and actually dont like to comparing them but some comments does burning my eyes.

It's not the quality of the video nor the quality of the recipe that I watch your videos. It's because you make it interesting. Both you and CWD may have the same ingredients, procedures and instructions but the content and the styles are different. I am both a Runny and CWD fan and I think comparing yourself to the other isn't necessesary. We will watch your video because its yours. Could you post the recipe for your whipped cream that you used for the cake? I'm looking for a whipped cream recipe that stays 'solid' whipped cream and NOT turn liquidy after taken out of the fridge. Just the way you eat your recipes (it always looks so good ahaha) makes me like the video more ~ But both Cooking with dog and you have good videos ! I think the approach is different. I think your videos, as it has been said, are easier to follow and more "friendly", as Cooking with dog makes it more informative and "professionnal cooking" like. But it's both as good, as long as you do it with passion ! ^__^

@soin2itvictory the measures on cooking with dog are the REAL measurments, for baking and worse with such a delicate batter is dificult to use cups so if you use them the result might be not so good or even catastrophic. For baking investing in a cheap and small scale is really really usefull

Nice sponge cake but not really what we would call a Christmas cake here in Europe; perhaps it's a Japanese Christmas cake! Wait... anyway, it does look delish.

A quick tip for when you're cutting the sponge in half- put it on your spinner and make a shallow incision (about 1") all the way around, checking for height as you go, before you make the final cut (a bread knife is easier) all the way through; this prevents the cake being lop-sided. Either that or make two sponges with smaller cake tin
