Th13teen doesn't deserve all the crap it gets, the themeing is excelent, the atmosphere is really eerie and the ride itself is unique. Just because it isn't really a thrill ride like its advertised, people give it shit. I actually enjoy it!

@ogunboii yeh but I think 13 is scarier cause it goes slower. With air, nemesis and Rita, they go so fast it's like your on and then your off. And also part of the track on 13 is hidden by trees so you don't know what's next. (to be honest I was to scared to go on Rita lol)
I went on th13teen! It's awesome!! The first hill is the highest in the park, second only to oblivion. About halfway round the track you go in a building and the room goes pitch black. Then it's a vertical drop, like Tower of Terror in disneyworld. Then you Reverse out of the building, still dark so you can't see and only THEN do you go forwards and into the building where you got on and stop. IMMENSE!!!!!
i loved this ride did anyone notice in the line when ur waitin did u see the skeltons they dressed up and put in the woods i noticed them first and really scared my mate that hates the bit where it goes down

@TheLolz360 I went the other day, i only waited about 20-30 mins ... it was awsome!! I went in the first week of it opening and had to wait 1 hr 45 ;( so it's a lot better now

right, i know this ride is the first freefall drop ride, but when you enter the room, and drop a tiny bit (when the lights blow) is that controlled, then you fall and the brake fins at the bottom catch you. Is that correct??? :D

@Nagrom0709 Alton Towers always starts small with World's firsts. Like oblivion, it had never been done before. They develop original ideas and create better, bigger versions. I have a feeling we are going to see some very good Phsycoasters in the future. As for why it's hyped, if you had spent £15 on a coaster, you'd want people to pay to go on it wouldn't you?

A lot of parks are trying new ides now, seems everyones bored of loops now lol. I have ridden the Saw ride at Thorpe Park and that is pretty good.
Loops have been out of fashion since the '90s with Magnum at CP. Since the mid-2000s, hyper coasters (etc.) are also out of fashion. Smaller, tighter, and more creative seems to be popular nowadays. Launches and theming also help.
i can not wait to go to Alton Towers now!!

Outdoor section looks fun but nothing extraordinary. The indoor drop is a cool idea, but I doubt it has the intensity of drop tower.
