  • @lucha52 :)

  • Hi, I've never used henna on my hair before.. I BC'd in November 2011 and my hair is growing nicely and I'm wondering if I should use henna on my hair as I'm curious.. Why is it good for our hair and what does it do for us?

  • @liyah7901 Try researching ayeurvedic herbs on hennasooq(dot)com to see if it is right for you

  • @tonidaley80 Aww thanks for replying chick. Your hair looks so healthy and thick.. I'll research that site right now. Thanks again :-)

  • Your guy wants the world to know you're taken, it's his way of protecting you as you go out in the world of u tube.

  • @toechesse oooooh, never thought of it that way :)

  • pwaha this vid gets a thumbs up. im soo trying this. idk where im going to fing the time to do it, but itll get done. and its really really nice when your bf can help u wrap your head with plastic LOL. ausomeness.

  • @naynaychicka LOL, thank you!

  • lmao at the serran wrapping scene

  • Using henna right after removing braids isn't a good idea. Henna's not the best for the hair.

  • @TheNayners24 I had great results. Hope you have the same!

  • Do you still Henna?

  • @SJANELJ No, i don't

  • Thank you!

I love your henna demonstation out of all the others!

  • @theevilcookie07 thank you! I really appreciate that :)

  • @quwii thank you!

  • such a lovely turn out from the henna. i am so going to do this!!!

  • so you only use henna when your hair is distressed from all of the product you put on your hair? or just .... lol lost much!

  • @hazelopeful you can use it whenever you want but it is a strengthening product

  • ha you two are such a cute couple, for sure (:

  • @xbrokenxdreamx5 thank you :)

  • you guys made me laugh good video ...he sounded mad hype when he said "AND TATOO" lol ..thanks for the video i will try henna out ....is there a limit on how many times you could apply henna?

  • @Morenaexotica lol, thanks! he was pretty disappointed that i used it all, lol. You shouldn't do it too often because it acts as a protein. I only did it once because i prefer my hair jet black

  • i love this vid. and glad that i subscribed to your channel. and "the boy" is hilarious.

  • You two are too funny!! That's so awesome that he is apart of your process and he could totally be the BoyMixaLot Master!! I literally LOL'd when he started to sing because I was thinking the same thing!!

  • @bjwhitt27 then ure probably white too... haha just kidding XD my boyfriend is just like him but more shy an also white LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @MRbossman1982 thank you so much, i appreciate the comment!

  • wow...my mom is SO. WRONG. natural hair flowing free to her means that people will perceive you as trying to be a "deep soul sista" and dating outside of my race (as a black girl) would be impossible, she guaranteed (sad, right?). idc what i tell her! she thinks if you let your hair go like yours (in a good way!) it's a white-guy repellant. or if i shaved my head or got dreads? she refuses to let me "become ugly"...i can't.

    -_-

THIS, and other proofs that she's wrong is REALLY pissing me off now

  • @minimouse2105 that is so ignorant of your mother and i hope she reads this. I live in Japan and I cannot tell you how many times I have run across guys who think that natural hair is beautiful. They see it as a big turn off when a woman is not comfortable being natural, no matter what the ethnicity. Most real men like natural hair and there are so many guys I know that are turned off about Black women with the wigs and thin stringy hair that breaks off easily. just be yourself :)

  • @khalilahinjapan pretty, BUT i don't look up to that i look up to the OTHER forms of beauty natural hairstyles have. i don't mind if mom disagreed with what i liked (piercings, tattoos, natural hair) but respect it, and stop twisting every proof i have in my favor so that it's in hers. i told her about you yesterday (not what u just replied yet), and a girl on campus w/a tiny afro who said she gets more compliments from white dudes w/her hair in the fro than when it was permed. she said ur case

  • @khalilahinjapan is rare, and that my college friend's white guys that compliment her are just sarcastic or think of natural hair as some interesting spectacle and that's the only reason why they're intrigued. my hair is already natural, mom just makes me slap it back w/SO MUCH GEL all the time. tried Kinky Curly products and she tried to slap it back w/it instead of letting it dry loose. i WANT to try these natural styles out, i just don't have a way AT ALL to make money to get proper haircuts

  • @khalilahinjapan products, or ANYTHING to get this going...IF mom would even LET ME DO WHAT I WANT. she still tries to control quite a bit even tho i'll be 20 this summer. just let me do what i want, and if i regret it? so be it. IIII take full responsibility! i wanna try the huetiful hair steamer, kinky curly again, possibly dreads if that doesn't work..cause honestly? i DO NOT mind cutting my hair REALLY short. mom was like, "u can't do ANY styling to it"...I CANT STYLE MY HAIR NOW! IT'S BEEN

  • @minimouse2105 Also i had dreads and i loved it and so did my japanese b/f but the biggest thing of all was to finally feel good about my hair and to have confidence withouth putting chemicals in my hair or using wigs. That was the most important thing of all... I dont know why your mother thinks that way , but its sad and i realized a lot of women in the states think like that... which is why american culture makes me sick to the stomach.

  • @khalilahinjapan *GASP* you live in japan...oooh lucky! i've always wanted to visit there, i ADORE their culture and took japanese for a year in high school and LOVED it! i have a japanese tattoo, too. i REALLY regret not taking japanese all 4 yrs in high school..mom forced me to stick w/spanish and ONLY spanish.

idk, when she sees pretty celebs or kids that i know from school or campus, she'll talk about how clean cut they are and how their hair is "maintained" and yeah, they DO look (contd)

  • @khalilahinjapan IN A BUN FOR 6 OR 7 YEARS!! we'd sometimes get it cornrowed or flat pressed, but ALL the cornrowers disappear, and the ONLY person that can flat press right makes my hair shed for WEEKS.

    i'm BEYOND over this....

  • how did u guys meet , u need to do a a bf tag videoo

  • @tiffanbabe i met him pretty randomly...i dont think he will sit still for the bf tag, lol!

  • Oh lawd...your hubby is a fool...lol!

  • your hair looks AMAZING!

  • @enidclowes thank you!!

  • is it permanent ?

  • Thanks doll (I'm all after the fact) Lol Enjoy your weekend God bless.

  • Hi I just wanted to take a moment to say...Thank you for making this video ! This was very helpful ! I do have one question ??? If I want to make my hair a dark black, what else do I have to put in the henna, or is it okay alone ?

  • @chocolatecutie2009 thanks for watching sis! You can try using indigo to darken your henna

  • does anyone know if if okay to use instant hena on AA hair?

  • ur bf is so helpful!! u 2 r 2 cute!!! thanks 4 the video!!

  • i love that ur bf is helping...as soon as i got my dye my bf wanted to help me too...and my bf's white too lol

  • Oh! A guy helpng you with your hair, so sweet!

  • cute miko!!

  • does henna make your hair thicker and stronger because my hair is damaged

  • reallly nice

  • Lmbo & u n "da boi" if anyone hasn't told u b4 or in case u haven't figured it out (j/kn) and hopefully u guys are still together ( saw the date) but he's a keeper, not just any guy would get up and help with the hair.... Miii thinks he may have been enjoying himself a bit much wit da mix'n. Lol lol..

  • @lusciouskat lol, yeah he's a trip....keeps me entertained if nothing else...lol

  • my is always super dry... like Gobi desert dry. do you think henna will help it out a bit?

p.s your boyfriend is so funny =)

  • @Kosaiya lol, thank you! i think overnight hot oil treatments and deep conditioners may work better for you.

  • Does using metal have some sort of adverse effect on the henna? And is there anything you can put around your hairline, something like vaseline, to keep the henna from staining your skin?

  • @anzarella Metal can react with the acidity in henna causing it to oxidize and also tarnish your spoons! I didnt have any staining but you could try that.

  • @anzarella I heard henna and metal turn your hair green.

  • "The Boy" is a cutay :)

  • @kahleentenshi lol, your making him blush!

  • Hi, Thanks for the video. I have just taken my locks out which i had for 10 yrs they were a blonde brown colour so after taking them out my afro has more patches of blonde and brown it is sooOO uneven. I want to add chestnut colour henna to even out the colour would it work? as i would need a dramtic result. hope you can advice me Thanks

  • @Gigillove hi hun! You would not get a dramatic or even result from the henna...it will add more color to your blonde pieces making them look more red

  • I have been wondering if I should use henna and after watching this vid I am going to go for it. I have a few greys especially at the front, wonder if they will be covered?? What do you think? Great Video and your man is a funny guy xx

  • @sammyd66 Yes, it will color greys...leaves them looking more like highlights.

  • HE IS SOOOO FUNNY! LOVE white boys!

  • lol awesome vid. your hair looked crazy lush at the end! Ive already henna'd for the month but you've made me want to go again :(

  • hi, thnx for the henna video, my boy friend is also white n i am black lolx.... actually i want to ask u what is ur hair type, i am having difficulty identifying my hair type but found out that we have exactly the same. pls help me define it. thanx!!!

  • @onlyui1990 I have course "z" shaped strands, with no curl definition when wet.

  • So you use the henna treatment to deep condition your hair? In what way does the henna treatment help your hair? (what results do you like so much to make you keep doing this?) How often do you do the henna treatment? Does the red color eventually wash out? I'm asking all of this because I was thinking about doing a henna treatment. Thanks!!

  • @BeautifybyJill The henna coats the hair providing strengthening properties. I've done henna once. The red color does not wash out.

  • @tonidaley80 What color henna did you use? I want a reddish brownish tint in my hair but I don't want it to appear too much. Did yours show a lot in the sunlight or just enough to catch a hint of it?

  • @pancakes2009 I used body quality henna. The color showed a lot in the sun.

  • aw your boyfriend is awesome

  • @xmaneeventx he aiight, lol j/k....yeah, he's pretty helpful or at least tries to be!

  • i love your haire love ur videos keep going !

  • @TheShaina2010 thank you! :)

  • Your boyfriend is awesome!

  • I wanted to dye my hair and heard using henna dye would be a good idea. Any thoughts on that?

  • @Mdominique23 It's a natural alternative to traditional hair dyes but not as drastic, very subtle color change.

  • why no metal spoon?? does the henna react to it?

  • @prncssjasmine Metal can react with the acidity in henna causing it to oxidize and also tarnish your spoons!

  • I did my henna, and my husband helped. Oh my goodness though, what a mess!! It looked like I had a mud fight in my bathroom. What do you do to eliminate most of the mess?

  • @CopperCreamsicile maybe you added too much water or oil? mine was not runny at all, it was really thick so no spills.

  • lol@ your bf....if only more men were so supportive. Cute:)

  • was this the crochet hair that caused the allergic reaction?

  • @LiLi0881 no, this video was recorded in january, i did the crochet braids a month ago.

  • was this the crochet hair???

  • that is so beautiful. your boyfriend is silly and very supportive, you two are beautiful together. May god continue to bless you both.

  • @platosklozet Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :)

  • Thanks for this video, I've been dying to do henna for awhile and I finally bought some. The instructions are pretty clear I think I just wanted to see someone do it in action. I think I'm going to have my husband help me too, he gets a kick out of all the wierd stuff I do to my hair

  • @CopperCreamsicile it went pretty smoothly for me the first time so you should be fine! It is nice to have a helper though, lol

  • lol cute

  • @istofal thank you :)

  • LMAO he's funny. Is henna also used to cover gray hair? Thanks 4 sharing. Luv yr hair

  • @SLIMWITHABS lol, thank you! yes, henna can be used to color gray too!

  • @tonidaley80 Oh, thanks, I know nothing about hair. Going to try it. Hopefully it last longer then the regular ones over the counter.

  • omg you two are soo cute i love how hes helping you!!

  • @TheChinadoll010 lol, thanks hun!

  • First off I want to say I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!.... Ive been Natural all my life but I never did anything to it but put in weaves ALL the time. So I'm not familiar with all these techniques that you use.... SOO what exactly did the henna do to your hair?.... S/N Ignore the haters... thats why they are called HATERS.... Please they really need to get a life.

  • @Monique522 Hey sis! Thanks for checking out my vids. Henna is known for it's strengthening properties because it coats the hair shaft. After putting my hair through so much I thought my hair needed it.

  • LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! AND UR TECHNIQUES!

  • @beyoncezsister thanks sis!

  • Thank you for the information. I never knew about adding the oil to stop the drying process. Your boyfriend is so funny; you two make a very cute couple. I use henna to cover gray on dreadlocks (a lot more work intensive, as my locks are to my waist). I'll add the oil next time so it's not so dry. (like the pups as well--too cute)! And to shaparnapash--honey, get a life. This world ain't even real. Quit yer bitchin.

  • @yogini34 thanks hun! let me know how it works for you! lol@ haters...just gotta laugh at them

  • I want to try the henna but didn't know which kind to buy . Your video was very helpful and funny. I love animals. The results were really nice. Your hair was so shinny!! Very pretty. Thanks for the video. Where do you buy your oils?

  • @MegaDub123 Thank you! I buy them from my local east indian grocery store and Ebay.

  • @shaparnapash Hey, thanks for visiting again! My white boyfriend will be so happy you are supporting us since we get money every time you click on this video!

  • when he started singing while mixing the henna i was dying. lol good stuff, but if you're doing the henna to change your hair color then i think you should stop. your hair looks GREAT black. :)

  • @yeahURR lol, he is very entertaining! i did henna for it's strenghtening properties after a bad experience with synthetic hair.

  • @tonidaley80 so henna is to strengthen hair ? ohh i thought i was to somehow "naturally" color your hair ! I might try it then :) thanks ! so did you do the treatment again and if you did how often did you do it ?

  • @tonidaley80 synthetic hair is the worst =( ..it itches SOOOO much

  • So if this white dog dates and teaches your woman to date and love him then they can control the population...this is why he is pushing abortions all in our neighborhoods and they have the nerve to say they love these hoes. The real problem is these black women hate theirselves and are showing it when they date outside thjeir race. When you have a baby by a white man that baby is white cause it's his SEED!! and 460,000 abortion of black babies in 2009 ALONE!! They killing us!

  • @shaparnapash wow! you really love my video!! thanks so much for visiting and upping my view count again! the more views and comments we get, the more money and exposure we get! so i really appreciate you helping out!! :)

  • @shaparnapash Huh?? Has someone been sniffing the kool aid?

  • @shaparnapash Bigotry, Hate Monger: A person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions & prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance toward those who are different then you.How can one live life that way. WOW . I feel sorry for you. This is not why God put us on earth. STOP SPEWING HATRED,

  • @shaparnapash "theirselves"? Get your GED, please.

  • damm you gotta love a white guy that helps a sista work on her hair. Yeah that happened to me when i used Yakji hair once. the same thing. 40 dollars for braids dam that was cheap in Los Angeles you be lucky to get braids for 240 dollars lol

  • @WonderWomanFan4life I do my own hair so all i pay for is the cost of the hair :)

  • @tonidaley80

Hey Girl! I was just on your site with the paintings. OMG they are so nice. I like the one on your main page of your YT. Gorgeous. I am going to order something in a week for my office. OMG I love your work. GREAT videos. I love youtube.. Your hair is Thick and lovely. It was you and another YTubber who got me into the henna. I am soooo happy about that. really. I did my henna three days ago but thinking about doing it again on weekend. LOL..

  • @WonderWomanFan4life thanks so much sis! I appreciate the positive feedback! :)

  • its a bit watery. you know if you make it thicker it seems to be much better. I used to do mine more like yours but then i started added some other stuff in it and I accidentally did it thick. it went on my hair like MUD and it stayed no drips nothing not super thick but like how yours is but more thicker like cake Frosting basically anyway omg i left on for like 2 hours and my hair was super soft and i noticed since i did it that way my hair is softer, of which i do not use perms anymore.

  • You are liviing proof that no one could ever live with white people. You kill and murder and destroy. Then you say to the people you destroy we should forget. You make monuments to the people that died fighting for your freedom. But you say to us we should forget. Then tear down the Washington monument. Shut down the military channel. Stop teaching American history college. Stop celebrating your founding fathers. White people are disgusting selfish conciousless animals

  • @shaparnapash Hey, thanks for watching and upping my view count!!

  • I just did that

  • OK...you and your boyfriend are soooooo cute lol. He had me cracking up when he was putting the plastic wrap on your hair lol. Anyway, the henna looked amazing. Why aren't you going to do it again?

  • @CocoaLuv0626 lol, thank you...he always tries to help! I won't be doing it again because i prefer my jet black hair.

  • I wish my boyfriend helped me out. He is such a butt. He doesn't like my natural hair.

  • I've found it easier to begin applying the mixture to the crown of my head, moving small completed sections upward. It gets top-heavy but if like me, you sleep with the henna in you hair, there's no mess or stiff neck. Hope this helps! :>)

  • @byoteenapp i wont be doing henna again but good tips!!

  • I think he should be allowed in ALL your vids because he makes the beats for you! LOL

    Gotta love "the boy"~

    ‹(•¿•)› ♥

  • @prec18 lol that is true!

  • heeee heeee the boy in the background.LOL!!!

  • LOL! Your assistant was having too much fun with the henna process. Pulling the plastic wrap was probably most fun for him.

Anyway, have you tried the henna that is neutral (imparting no color)?

  • @adore1908 lol, yes he was quite amused! I havent tried the neutral henna yet but probably will in the future.

  • I hope you know how blessed you are that your boyfriend is so supportive and caring. I wish my husband was like this :(

  • @itsjustme1980ify Yea, I wish mine was helpful. There were times I needed him to help me out when I wanted and was relaxing my hair. When I wanted him to help me and guide me, he did not want to. He was complaining about the smell so I had to open the window. and because of that I stop relaxing my hair and my hairstyling instructor refuses to chemically relax my hair so I am going all natural now.

  • Toni, do you still do henna treatments?

  • @mishsamuels I only did it once because i dont like the color tint

  • @tonidaley80 You can cancel out the hint by making it into a Henna Gloss. Just replace the regular water with a strong black tea, then add honey and any other moisturizing ingredients like olive oil, shea butter, etc...

  • I cannot wait until I try henna I have the powder it's been sitting in my house for my past week, but I just havn't purchase the honey and lemon juice to mix it up with. Once I do I will post up some stuff.

  • Hi Ok so i am still very confused. what is the henna actually being used for? I dont always see much difference in the hair color is it to condition? Does it help with moisture? Your hair did look very good afterwards though, and that is cool that your boyfriend helps you

  • @ChiChivonchichiThanks! He always tries to help, lol. People use henna as a strentghening treatment and hair tint...there are many great henna for hair sites you can do research on.

  • Awe.....it's nice that he's so interested in what you are doing. Y'all are too cute together and congrats on the engagement. I wish you all the best.

  • So I just put my henna in my hair, and I'll leave it overnight...BUT, IDK if I have a big head cause I ran out of mix. Maybe I was using too much, cause your hair is longer than mine and it seems to have worked for you. We'll see how the sections that are saturated looks tomorrow. lol

  • @JoiDior ok, let me know how it turns out!!

  • Did it stain your shower?
